School was feeling lonely and came over. If I wanted it to go away, I needed to give it my undivided attention. That's pretty much what happened.

Faba smirks, "Did you four have a fun little adventure snooping around?"

Zinnia shrugs, "Eh, it was nice."

Faba frowns, "That was a rhetorical question!"

"I know."

"Zinnia, I don't want to battle all of these people." Miracle whines, "Let's cheat!"

"Cheat?" Gladion and Hau say in unison.

Zinnia sends out all of her dragons, there's Salamence, Goodra, Altaria, Noivern and a Tyrantrum.

Not even a dinosaur scares them away.

Faba laughs, "Oh, that's cute! She thinks her dragons can scare us! Everybody laugh with me!"

I mean, I eat dragons for breakfast.
Just kidding.
Dragons are pretty cool.

They erupt in overly sarcastic laughter.

Until Salamence gets annoyed and blows them all away.

Miracle laughs at them, "If they were paying attention and not laughing they could have done something."

Gladion grins, "Y'know, as much as I despised you two in the beginning, I'm really glad you guys are here."

Hau smiles while Miracle rolls her eyes.

Zinnia gives him a thumbs up, "Thanks, bro."

Stop.

Gladion scoffs, "Not you. You're just reckless."

Miracle starts flipping out and

Nightshade snickers, "Oh no! Can't talk about Miracle's crush like that!"

I glare at her, "You'd act the same."

She narrows her eyes, "Touché."

"Young master." A soft voice says.

Hey! It's Wicke.
How convenient.

Miracle looks at Gladion, "Young master? I could make a certain joke but..."

Miracle, STOP!

Gladion stops her from finishing her sentence, "Do you know where Lillie is?"

Wicke closes her eyes, "I imagine she is with the president."

"That's all I need to know."

Hau turns to him, "The president? That's Miss Lusamine, right?"

I'd call her Miss Crazy.

"She's a real nice person. I'm sure if we just talk to her she'll listen."

Gladion looks at the ground, "She's real nice as long as you mean nothing to her."

Betting ten bucks she's his mom and that Lillie is his sister.

"But I'm afraid the doors are locked," Wicke says.

"I'll find a way to open them," Gladion says before running off with Hau.

Miracle scoffs, "And he called Zinnia reckless."

'Cause she is.

Faba, just go away!

He's so annoying!
He's blocking the entrance and he won't let us through.

Faba rubs his hands together, "We sure have some disobedient children here. I've been planning this! I knew you were going to search for the president!"

Hau shakes his head, "So, Mr. Faba, do you have the key to the president's room?"

"Of course I do!" He pulls the key out of his pocket, "It's right here."

Miracle snatches it out of his hand and Hau laughs, "If you would have just stayed hidden, we would have been stuck here anyways!"

Miracle runs away with the key, "If you want it you're gonna have to catch me!"

Faba glances at the employees,
"Well don't just stand there! Get her!"

Yeah, I'm not dealing with this.
I cover the ground with water and they slip all around.

I'm sure falling won't cause any coma's.

Gladion stares at Faba, "Looks like you're outnumbered."

"I've still got my Pokémon!"

Oh, he's stepped up his game, three Pokémon now!

We'd better watch out!

Miracle stands next to Rudy, "If you don't move, Rudy will run you over."
Rudy paws at the ground and neighs.

Faba falters as Hau and Gladion move in on him, "You wouldn't mind if we went in would you?" Hau asks happily.

Miracle spins the key on her finger then unlocks the door.

Hau waves at Faba, "Thanks for the key Mr. Faba!"

Faba groans, "This is why I hate children."

Zinnia laughs, "You're just mad because you were outsmarted."

Faba glares at her, "Leave. Don't you have someone to save?"

Are you ready for this plot twist?

Team Skull was working for Aether.

Grunt runs over to us and shakes Miracle, "Miracle! What's going on?"

Miracle shrugs as Gladion runs over to Guzma, "Hell if I know."

Hau looks around, "There's like an uku billion grunts here!"

"I counted about five." Zinnia says.

Miracle pushes Grunt away and looks around, "How do we get past them?"

Hau raises his hand, "Oh! I know, I know! Zinnia and I can take care of the grunts while you go and find Lillie."

"If it means we don't have to fight anyone I'll take it," I mumble to myself.

I feel someone inch towards my face.

"Stop talking yourself you weirdo," Nightshade whispers.

"Go away!" I shout. 

She blinks before tumbling to the ground in laughter, "Isabelle! I love you so much!"

Are all Salazzle this carefree?

I roll my eyes but I can't help but smile.
I have betrayed myself.

Tiko yawns, "Is it nap time yet? I'm sleepy."

He plops down on the ground and Tula sits next to him.

Peanut stares at them, "What're they doing? I thought we were going to rescue the flower. Wait! I found her!"
He grabs a white lily, "We can go home now!"

Rudy grabs the flower and chews it up, leaving a heartbroken Peanut to mourn over his lost friend.

I smile at him, "Peanut, that was just a flower. It wasn't Lillie."

He sniffles, "I named it Andrew."

Rudy snorts, "I named it Tasty."

"I named it who cares." Tiko is real grumpy today.

Tula flies around, "Aww, is wittle Tiko mad because he can't play with his kitty friend?"

Tiko kicks her away and they start fighting.

Miracle stares at them then rolls her eyes, "Hey, can you two stop that? It's like I'm babysitting and that's not a good thing."

They stop fighting, but Tiko still has that grumpy attitude and decides to sit there and sulk.

I roll my eyes, "Stop feeling sorry for yourself. We have a job to do."

Does sneaking past Guzma count as a job?

I'm gonna say it does.

But, Miracle isn't very good at sneaking up on people so, Guzma spots us.

"Kid! What're you doing?"

Miracle looks around, "Uhh, stalling?"

Guzma laughs, "Looks to me like you're avoiding a battle. Who could blame ya?"

He glances over at the defeated Gladion, "Wouldn't want to end up like him."

Miracle shakes her head, "No that's not it. I just want to get this over with y'know? Battling will just take up more time. That, and I'm lazy."

"Well, who's to say I won't let you in if we don't battle?"

Miracle thinks about it, "Oh! I know! Zinnia!"

Guzma laughs. "I can't think of anything more terrifying."

"I can!"

"Tell me."

She points up at the sky, "Look! Over there!"

Guzma looks up and Miracle dashes past him and into the building.

Guzma sighs, "How did I fall for that?"

That's what I want to know.

This place is beautiful!

If Lusamine really is crazy, at least she has a good taste in fabric and furniture and-

"Isa!" Nightshade calls, "Get out of la-la land and get over here!"

I groan and follow her into an even more luxurious looking bedroom.

Can we live here?
I'd be the nicest Primarina around if we could.

Lusamine looks quite calm, she doesn't even seem angry that we came here and raided the place.

"Miracle. It's been some time since we've seen you."

Miracle shrugs and Lillie whirls around, "Miracle! What're you doing here?"

"I guess I'm here to rescue you but....it doesn't look like you're in trouble."

Lillie smiles, "You came all this way for me?"

Miracle blinks, "Uhh, yeah. No need to start getting dramatic."

Lusamine shakes her head, "Miracle, why do you bother with someone like her?"

Before Miracle can speak Lillie spins around, "I don't need your approval, Mother!"

Mother!
Ha! I knew it! I knew it all along!

Miracle didn't however, "Mother! She's your mom!?" She places her hand on her chin, "Yeah, I can see it."
 
Lusamine shrugs, "My, you do say the most incomprehensible things. Calling me mother?" 

Her eyes burn with sudden anger, "I don't have any children! Certainly not any wretched children that would run off and reject my love! Tell me, Lillie, how will you save that Pokémon? You're no trainer!"
 
Snowball leaps out of Lillie's bag and growls at Lusamine.
Lusamine stares at her and after a while, she goes to hide behind Lillie.

How scary is this woman?

Apparently, scary enough to make Nightshade angry.
She looks like she wants to rip Lusamine's head off.

Lusamine turns away from Lillie, "You're not beautiful enough for my world. But since you're here, you can watch me summon my beast. Then, you can leave."

Lillie takes a deep breath, "I'm not being foolish or selfish. I'm just asking you to listen to me! Don't sacrifice Cosmog for that beast's sake. If you open the Wormhole, Cosmog will...Cosmog will die!"

"You're right." Lusamine says coldly, "It will die. Because I'm going to make it use all it's power whether it wants to or not."

I should've just flooded this whole place.

She opens up the weird teleporter thing and turns back to us, "If you had really been a daughter to me, I would have listened to you. Too bad." She leaves us with a smirk.

Nightshade hisses as Lusamine leaves, "How long until I get to set her on fire?"

"Um, are you alright?" I ask.

She shakes her head, "No. You shouldn't speak to your children like that." 

I gaze at her suspiciously, "Why should you care?"

She turns to me, her eyes filled with an emotion I can't place, "Because it's not right, Isabelle."

If Lillie doesn't seem to be too bothered by it than Nightshade shouldn't be either. 

"I...I have to be selfish again." Lillie says to Miracle, "Help me save Nebby. Please."

Miracle nods, "You didn't even have to ask."

I wonder, how badly will this end?

She goes to the teleporter but gets pulled back by Rotom, "Are you insane?"

Miracle shrugs, "Probably. But we've already come this far." She steps into the teleporter and crosses her arms,"I am not going to deal with Faba again."

After seeing all of these frozen Pokémon I feel like we should rethink our life choices.
Not even Lillie knows what this place is.
That means we should leave.

Lusamine grins at us, "Hurry. This way."

Now.
We should go now.

Rotom shudders, "I don't like this...."

Peanut nods, "Yeah! Let's go home!"

Nightshade puts him up on Tula, "Sit with her then, she'll keep you safe."

Peanut sighs as Miracle takes some shaky steps forward.

"Isn't it great? My private collection." Lusamine says calmly, "My precious babies. They will be preserved here for all eternity."

Hmm.
A crazy lady who's obsessed with preserving beauty...
She's a villain; let's go now!

Miracle looks around, disgusted, "I don't think that's healthy," she mumbles.

Lillie shakes her head, but Lusamine just can't stop talking about her precious beast and how it must tell all of Alola about its anger.

This is when we need someone to get rid of all this tension.
Hint, it's Hau, who is just so happy to see Miracle and Lillie.

Gladion's there too, but he's just glaring at Lusamine.

"Oh, sweet Hau. You came too?"

She glances at Gladion and a look of disgust flashes in her eyes, "And Gladion, must you be so untidy?"

Miracle chuckles but Gladion really isn't in the mood for more edgy jokes.

He sighs, "Will you at least listen to me? You can't open the wormhole. You can't let the beast's run wild!"

Zero to one hundred real quick.
Lusamine just lost it.

"The daughter who stole my Cosmog and the son who took my Type: Null!  All I ever did was give you two the love I had and you betray me! You have no right to ask for my attention now!"

Nightshade hisses at her, her lavender eyes filled with anger.
Calm down.
We'll get to beat her up soon.

Hau looks at Gladion, then at Lillie then at Lusamine, "Wait! You guys are a family!?"

Lusamine shrugs, "Perhaps we once were, sweet Hau, but those wretches beside you left me."

She goes on about how many wormholes she'll be able to open with Cosmog finally in her grasp.

Ugh.
She won't stop talking.
Someone, do something.

Lillie is on the verge of tears, "Please stop. If you do this-"

"Silence! I'm done listening to you!"

While we were all listening to Lusamime's monolog, Miracle decided that now would be a good time to take the box that has Cosmog in it.

Unfortunately, little Nebby got a bit too happy and gave her away.

"What are you doing!?" Lusamine yells.

Miracle freezes up.

Don't mess it up, Miracle...I can only waddle so fast.

"I- I was..." She looks down at the box in her arms and smiles, "I'm gonna ruin your plans!" She dashes towards the teleporter.

I have the best Trainer
I'm not kidding this time.

Lusamine reacts lightning-fast, sending out a Clefable and giving it the command, "Moonblast!"

FUCK.
This was not supposed to happen.

The attack blasts forward and hits Miracle in the back.
I close my eyes as her screams echo through the building.

When I open my eyes, the first thing I see is blood.
Maybe this is why humans don't battle Pokémon.

As I look on, I feel my stomach churn.

The box that Cosmog is in has been pushed up against the wall with Miracle's motionless body curled up around it.

You know how in movies and games the protagonists just stand there while the villain gives their monolog? Well, this game did that and the whole time Lusamine was talking, I was thinking in my head, 'Cosmog is right there. Are everybody's feet glued to the ground?' So I changed it to characters actually being logical and smart. (What Miracle did wasn't really thought through...I guess it's better than standing around and listening)
Don't tell me Lusamine wouldn't attack a child. Tbh I don't think she would give a shit, just as long as she has Nihilego, she's happy.

After edit: I still think that this was more logical than standing around doing nothing.
