Chapter Forty-Three: Sinners

This morning, I was awoken to the sound of light rain hitting the forest leaves.

Now, In Lush Jungle, rain usually means one thing.

Tidal Wave going on patrol with Wild Spark, Hawk Flame, and everybody's favorite shiny Leafeon, Fawn Petal.

I don't know why he has Wild Spark with him, she's so fat.
No!
Not food fat.
She's pregnant.
I'm pretty sure with Fawn Petal's kits, as well.

Now, since when is beyond me.
Isabelle thought I was crazy, she said Wild Spark looks fine to her.
Maybe I see because I've known her my whole life.
Granted, Wild Spark is a lithe and quite skinny Jolteon so, maybe Isa's the crazy one.
Pua said she just looks like a normal Jolteon.

Fine.
I don't know anything.

Tidal Wave never goes out on patrol unless he wants to find something himself.

But, the thistles and brambles make a great barrier.

Too bad Pua can't shut up for more than two minutes.

It's like nobody taught him what stealth was.

I'm pretty sure Father knows exactly where we are, he's just waiting for the right time to pounce.

That time will be when Isabelle finally goes to sleep.

Apparently, Jerry the flipping Joltik makes people go to sleep?

I don't know, that's what Kapua said.

Why am I listening to this child?

Isabelle is a Primarina, how does a Joltik take down a Primarina like her?
If Tidal Wave is afraid of her she has to be strong...right?

"Mom!" Pua's voice rips through my thoughts.

"What? What is it?"

He takes his hat off and swirls it around, "Can you...can you tell me about my mom?"

My heart stops.

"I-I uhh.."

He smiles, "You can just tell me how happy she made you."

Isabelle groans, "Please, no. I don't want to listen to that. She'll get all emotional."

Pua turns back to her, "You just don't want to cry." He turns back to me, "Please?" He pleads.

I sigh but feel a smile creep up on my face, "Well, she had beautiful lavender eyes just like yours."

He giggles, "What else?"

I place my white paw to my head, "A large white stripe running down from the top of her head and ending at the tip of her nose."

"Was she pretty?"

Isabelle groans again, "Why? Why would you ask that?"

But, I have to think about it.

"I don't know..." I mutter.

I definitely know.
I just don't know how to put it into words.
Describing love is a lot harder than experiencing it.

Pua's eyes grow wide, "But, I thought you loved her."

"I do love her, I just...I didn't like her for her looks. I love her smile, and her laugh, the way she could make the best out of any situation."

I glance over at Pua who seems to want me to keep going.
Isabelle is over there groaning, "The cheesiness...I can't!"

"She's fearless and daring but she cares about everyone. When she smiles..." I look down at my paws, "I fear I'll fall, it's like her smiles were always meant for me. She always said that my smiles were cuter than hers." I chuckle, "But I always said she was wrong. She would laugh at me and say her eyes never shined like mine did."

I look over at Pua and smile, "Oh, Pua. Her eyes were so beautiful."

He stares at me, "How?" He breathes.

"They were always so happy. When she laughed they would light up...I could stare at her eyes all day. They made me feel so safe, like nothing could hurt me. Like nothing could hurt us. She was always there for me, when no one else was. She was my light in the darkness. Maybe I love her too much..."

Isabelle sighs, "Loved. You loved her. How do you love a dead person?"

"How can anyone love someone like you?" Kapua asks.

"Ehh, I don't know. I feel like ruining your day, Leafeon."

I scoff, "Good luck with that."

She smirks and rolls onto her stomach so she's facing us, "Kapua."

"What?"

"Do you know where babies come from?"

I drag Pua away from her and cover his ears, "Stop."

Pua pushes me away, "She already told me..."

Oh, my Arceus.
His innocence.
I'm a terrible mother.

"I'm gonna tell you again. Well, when a man and a woman..." She looks up at me and smirks, "Or in Leafeon's case-"

"Okay. You can shut up now."

"Oh. Someone's snappy today."

"Hey!" Pua whines, "Stop being mean to her."

"I'm n-not being mean I'm being h-honest."

Thank Arceus.
Her stutter is back.
That means she won't talk.

I swear that Joltik messed with her brain.
She says the dumbest things, now.
Or it could be these 'Awa plants.
Or the weed.

I mean, Kapua doesn't use it so, where does it all go?

"I heard some talking!"

Ugh.
Wild Spark's voice is like a nail being driven into my ear.
Why does she have to shriek like that?

Pua peeks his head over the brambles, "They're outside!" He whispers.

I pull him close to me with my tail.

"Well, thanks to Mrs. Loudmouth, they know we're here, too." A young male voice says.

"You're one to talk!" Wild Spark yells, "At least I don't have some gay name like Fawn Petal!"

"At least I'm not gay."

"My name is Wild Spark, not Nightshade!"

"Isn't she dead?"

Wild Spark laughs, "Yeah. Good riddance, too."

Kapua begins shaking, "Would it be bad if I shot poison at them?"

"J-Just sho-ot fire a-at them."

"Oh, I can't create fire."

"But, I can create water." A silky voice says, "Leafeon, who are you talking to?"

Fawn Petal moves the brambles and sighs, "How's your girlfriend?"

Wild Spark bursts into laughter, small sparks of electricity flying from her fur, "Oh, Fawn Petal! That was hilarious!"

I glare at her, "Haha, so funny."

She winks at me, "Love you too, sis."

Tidal Waves rolls his eyes and scowls when he sees Pua, "Why'd you bring that thing with you? I thought she was dead."

Pua pouts, "I am not a thing!"

Tidal Wave rubs his ears, "She's got a mouth like her mothers."

Wild Spark stares at me confused, "Leafeon can't make Salan-"

"Nightshade, you idiot!" Tidal Wave hisses, "I swear, you get dumber and dumber."

Did she hit her head or something?
Is it the pregnancy?
Why is she so...stupid?

"Nightshade had a kid..." She smiles, "What a whore! I always knew Salazzle were those type of Pokemon."

Pfft.
Like she's any better.
I doubt that all of those kits are Fawn Petal's.

Tidal Wave groans, "Do I have to tell you how repro- nevermind." He kicks Isabelle, "Wake up."

Nothing.

Great.
What a perfect time to take a nap.

He rolls his eyes, "Hawk Flame, you carry her."

Wild Spark shakes her head, "He's much too weak-"

"Excuse me."

Wild Spark shies from him and lowers herself to the ground, "N-nothing, Father."

Tidal Wave grunts, "C'mon. We'll take them back to WaveClan camp." He turns to me and smiles, "You and I are going to have a well-needed talk."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hawk Flame was stumbling the whole time.
But one fall would mean bad news for the old Flareon.
I feel like Tidal Wave is just waiting for him to mess up so he can kill him.
For some reason, The Eeveelutions in WaveClan don't die natural deaths.
They're either murdered or eat some poisonous plant.
WaveClan camp looks terrible.
I can't say I'm surprised.
Too bad those dogs didn't kill Tidal Wave.
If only.
The Clan instantly walks over to the large tree stump that Tidal Wave gives his speeches on.
They all sit, eagerly awaiting the spectacle that will come from his mouth.
As much as I despise my father, I'd be dumb not to realize how good he is with words.
He can tell you anything and you'd believe it.
Even if you didn't at first.
I did.
Tidal Wave leaps onto the rock and wraps his tail neatly around his paws, "Kapua." He says softly.
Pua watches as Hawk Flame drags Isa over to Flurry Scar and Umbreon.
Wait.
Is Tidal Wave actually helping someone?
He must be sick.
"What?" Pua says, his eyes still fixed on Hawk Flame.
"Come here. I need to tell you something."
Pua turns to him and crosses his arms, "Lilo said you're a bad Pokémon."
"My mother. Why do you think I turned out the way I did?"
Pua uncrosses his arms and looks up at the sky, "Because your parents raised you up like this?"
He smiles and nods, "That's right, Kapua. Everything you see about me, that's Lilo's fault. She's the monster who created a monster. But, she's a traitor."
Pua takes a step forward, "How?"
"Because she kept you and your mother alive."
"But that's a good thing!"
"No, no it's not." He lies down, "Tell me, Kapua. What did Leafeon tell you about your mother?"
"Well, umm, she told me that she was super sweet and kind...and uhhh..." He trails off.
"Did she tell you that your mom was a killer?"
Pua gasps, "N-no."
"She killed a Primarina named Opal."
"No, she would never do that!"
"But she did. You can ask Leafeon, she did kill that Primarina."
"Well, you killed your mate!"
"She deserved it. Guess what?"
"What?"
"I also killed Nightshade. Well, to be specific, I was more of an accomplice, unfortunately."
Kapua's eyes fill with tears, "Wh-why?"
He shrugs, "'Cause I didn't like her. She was a thief, a liar, untrus-"
"You don't know anything about her!" I shout
"Didn't." He corrects me, "I knew more about her than you ever did. I knew about Kapua and I knew about Prince. How do you know she wasn't lying to you? Lying to you about how she loved you."
"She does love me."
He sighs, "Did and loved. That was all a lie, too."
"What would you know about love?"
He laughs half-heartedly, "What? You think I've never cared about anybody in my life before? I did. Once and only once. But, it doesn't matter."
"Why do you hate her?"
He sighs, clearly getting annoyed with every question I ask, "I've gone over this-"
"Why do hate them? Why do you hate us!?"
"Those Salandit and Violet are useless!" He hisses and begins pacing on the tree stump, "All they do is take things that don't belong to them. Then, they go around having stupid kids-"
My ears flatten, "You can't blame that on her."
"I just did. If she can't take care of it, then it shouldn't be here!"
"I could say the same about you. Lilo and Hawk Flame hate you!"
"And I despise you." He growls, raking his claws over the tree, "You're nothing but an embarrassment to me."
"Why do you hate me?"
"Because you talk to Pokémon Like Nightshade. She was a liar and a thief. She only cared about herself." He laughs, "What can you expect from someone as sick as her?"
"She isn't sick!"
"Wasn't." He flicks his tail in my direction, "Look at what she did to you. You came all this way just for what? A dead Salazzle that never loved you?"
"That's not true."
"It is." he purrs, "How fast did she 'fall in love with you'? Let me guess, a day? Two days?"
"That doesn't mean anything."
"Yes, it does. Infatuation is vastly different from love."
"Fine. Maybe at first, it was infatuation. But, that infatuation turned into love."
He slowly glances at his Clan, their faces bright with excitement.
He smiles and turns back to me, a low purr rumbling in his throat, "Oh, please, tell me how."
The ground around my white paw begins to glow a green hue, "Love is like a flower."
He chuckles, "Off to a great start."
I remove my paw to reveal a small bud, "It's small at first, but over time, with enough care and attention, it will grow into the most beautiful thing."
The small bud begins to grow until it blooms into a large light purple flower.
An Orchid.
It stands tall, the slight breeze slightly moving its soft petals.
I look up at Tidal Wave.
For most, It's almost impossible to read those deep, ocean blue eyes.
But for me, I know exactly what he's doing.
Taking note of every word I say so he can tear me down.
Not this time.
I won't let him talk about her like that.
I look back down at the Orchid, "But, being able to bloom isn't easy. The flower has to live through storms and drought."
As I go on listing all of the hardships, the flower slowly begins to wilt.
"Heat and parasites. It gets stepped on, crushed. Its petals are ripped off by children who only want to know if their crush loves them." The petals fall off and go flying away into the breeze.
"But even through all of this, It's still standing." The once bright Orchid is now hunched over, its petals rotted and brown.
But, if you look closely, you can see a very small bud growing on one of the stalks.
"Even when it's so close to death, it never gives up."
The old Orchid finally gives up, only to be replaced by a new one that's brighter and bigger than the old.
Tidal Wave nods, "What does this have to do with your so called love?"
"We're just like a flower. We have to deal with Pokemon like you telling use we're sick. That our love is nothing but a child's imagination. Our love is just like everyone else's."
"That isn't-"
"Let me finish."
He rolls his eyes, "Fine."
"Love is being able to see someone's flaws but loving them anyway. Nightshade has many flaws. She's afraid to tell the truth, she wants to be friends with everyone, she's somewhat rash, indecisive, she falls in love almost instantly, she's overconfident, she's eager to please, somewhat childish, gutsy.
I'm shy, nervous, unable to stand up for myself, softspoken, dependent, easily manipulated, gullible, I'm afraid to love, afraid to let anyone see the real me. I'm a coward. But, even with the flaws we both have, we're still good Pokemon."
"Prove it. Tell me what redeeming features that lizard has."
"She cares about everyone. She loves with all of her heart, she believes there's good in everyone and that everyone can change, she isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She's trustworthy, not with her secrets, but with others. I know she killed someone, I know it's a horrible thing to take someone's life. But, I know why she did it, and I know it was justified. She had every right in the world to kill Opal on that day. But, I still love her. She means well."
"That is not love!" Tidal Wave hisses, "Love can only be between a male and a female. Two males and two females cannot have children together!"
"Sex does not equal love, Father. Making children isn't the reason you decide to dedicate your life to someone. You do that because they make you feel a way you've never felt before."
I close my eyes and sigh, "That feeling is warm and safe. It's more than the butterflies I feel when she looks at me or says my name. Every time I look at her, I find something else to love about her every day. The way she smiles when she sees me, the way she taps her foot when she gets mad, or the way she blushes when anyone says anything about us."
He scoffs, "You think that is love?"
"Yes. Because I remember that nothing anyone says about us matters. Do you know why?"
"Why?" Pua asks quietly.
"I don't live to please the world, I don't live to please you, Father. I live for her and Kapua. You say what we have isn't love because we're both girls. But, let me tell you something."
I walk up to my father and look him in the eyes, "I love her and I will never ever deny that. I will never be ashamed of loving another girl. I'll fight for the love that we have, I'll never let anybody take away what we have. She might be dead, but the love she gave me still lives in my heart. Our love is beautiful, no matter what you say, Father. It's beautiful because I got to share it with someone as amazing as her. 'They can think whatever they want because in the end, they'll always be wrong.' Nightshade always told me this when I began to question if our relationship was wrong.
Now, I know she was right. You know absolutely nothing about us, you just assume."
I turn to the Clan, "All of you! You assume that we can't love, that we can't survive, that we're nothing but a couple of sinners waiting to be killed because of the gender of the one we love."
I look down at my paws, "Isn't that sad? That I have to justify why our relationship is valid? That I have to justify my love for her? It's disgusting. None of you should care. Because love doesn't care."
"But I do." Tidal Wave growls, "It isn't normal."
I shake my head, "Love is love. It's patient and kind, it is blind to gender and what type of Pokemon we are. That's what makes love so beautiful."
Everyone is silent.
Not even Tidal Wave has anything to say.
"That is the gayest thing I have ever heard anyone say."
Isabelle just has to ruin everything.
Tidal Wave shakes his head and growls, "I'm tired of listening to you. Wild Spark?"
The young Jolteon bounds over to him, "Yup?"
"It's Training Day. Remind your sister what happens when she decides to speak up to her father."
Wild Spark turns to me, her amber eyes filled with worry, "But, I'm expe-"
"What was that?"
"N-nothing." She turns to me and unsheathes her claws.
"Tidal Wave, stop this!" Hawk Flame cries.
The Eeveelutions move so the old Flareon can be seen at the back of the crowd, "No more death. Just let her go. Don't you think her losing her girlfriend is enough?"
"Not if she's going to speak to me like that," He glances at Wild Spark and tilts his head, "Go."
Without warning, she lunges at me.
I tried to dodge but she grabbed into my tail at the last second and dragged me back.
She sinks her claws into my back, I can feel them scraping against my spine.
I can faintly hear Kapua screaming in the crowd.
I slowly feel my strength coming back to me.
Using my free, and only back leg, I try to kick her off.
Surprisingly it worked, but I ended up with my face in the ground.
The soft kick didn't throw her back far, though.
She's too busy trying to get back on her paws to attack me when I'm down.
"What are you doing!?" Tidal Wave yells at the struggling Jolteon, "Just kill her already." He smiles, "Slowly, Wild Spark. I want to see her suffer. Just like Nightshade."
In a split second, you can make a decision that changes your life.
In the wild, that decision can mean life for you or life for your opponent.
The thick metallic scent of blood fills the air.
It's sickening.
I'm covered in it.
The smell alone makes me want to throw up.
It's sticky and warm.
It's staining my fur.
It's staining the grass.
It's staining the whole jungle.
I look up.
Lying in front of me, is Wild Spark's limp body.
A large gash across her throat.
It's still bleeding.
Her once bright and spirit-filled amber eyes are staring blankly at the sky.
Her face is frozen.
It looks like she was screaming.
I did this.
I killed her.
My sister.
My sister...
My-
Now, this place smells like blood and barf.
I can't hold back my tears.
Sure, Wild Spark wasn't a good Jolteon, she wasn't a good sister, but that doesn't mean I would want anything bad to happen to her.
She was still my sister.
She was good.
She cared about me, she helped me.
We were best friends!
I loved her.
But then Tidal Wave changed her.
Just like he does with everyone.
"Oh, Wild Spark," I say walking over to her body and lying down next to it, "I'm so, so sorry."
Her body is still warm.
She still smells like the forest.
I hear someone running up to me.
He stares at Wild Spark's body in horror, "Why?" He asks shakily, "Why'd you have to kill her?"
"I'm sorry, Hawk Flame."
"You'll get over it, Hawk Flame." Tidal Wave says quietly.
He doesn't even sound sad.
He doesn't care that his own daughter is dead!
It...it makes me so angry.
I don't know why.
Hawk Flame shakes his head, "If you had just listened to me, Tidal Wave." He lies down next to me and buries his face into her fur.
Fawn Petal quietly pads over to us, "S-she was pregnant." He stutters, "W-with our kits."
No.
Her kits.
They're dead.
I killed her kits...
He looks up at Tidal Wave, "You knew she was pregnant and yet you made her fight."
Tidal Wave shrugs, "There will be more kits. No use in making a scene over it."
How can he say that?
All he cares about is kits....
Fawn Petal stares at his leader in shock before falling to the ground.
Violent sobs rack his body.
"Grow up, Fawn Petal." Tidal Wave says callously, "You'll find someone else."
"Son." Hawk Flame croaks.
"Don't call me that."
"She's gone, Tidal Wave."
He shrugs, "That's the price of being reckless. She brought this on herself. What? Do you want me to care?"
"She's your daughter!" Isabelle shouts.
"She's also replaceable."
Hawk Flame shakes his head, "Fawn Petal, let's go bury her."
The Leafeon wipes his eyes and sniffles, "Where? I don't want to bury her in this forest. Not with him." He glares at Tidal Wave who simply waves and smiles.
"Let's bury her with my mom!" Pua shouts.
"Nightshade was never buried." Isa mumbles, "We never had a funeral; we don't know where her body is."
Pua looks down at the ground, "Oh."
Fawn Petal looks around, "Let's take her to...to..." He trails off and begins to cry again.
"We can bury her next to Maple," Isabelle whispers.
Hawk Flame nods, "Somebody-"
"I'll carry her," I say lifting her up by her scruff.
"Okay." Hawk Flame sighs, gazing at her body sadly, "Let's go."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Maple was buried in a quaint place outside of WaveClan territory.
The sun beams brightly on the small clearing.
Sitting in the middle of the clearing is a single white flower.

When we finished digging a grave for Wild Spark, Kapua asked me if I felt bad for killing her.

"Wild Spark didn't deserve to die." I say looking back at her grave, "She might've been bad, but there was a good Jolteon in there."

"Is there a good Vaporeon in Tidal Wave?"

"No. Tidal Wave has no empathy and he doesn't feel any remorse for the terrible action he does and makes others do."

"What's empathey and remorse?"

"Empathy. It's being able to understand the feelings and emotions of others. The only thing Tidal Wave wants to see is suffering. Remorse is feeling bad for something you did; being regretful."

"But...Wild Spark is his daughter." He holds out his hands and looks at them, "That's his flesh and blood. I thought he liked her."

"He did, as a fighting machine. That's all she'll ever be in his eyes."

"That's so sad." Pua whispers.

"Yeah, it is."

He walks over to Wild Spark's grave and looks around until his eyes land on a flower.

He sets it on the grave and Isabelle squints at it.

"Is that a zinnia? Those don't even grow here."

Pua nods, "Yup. Zinnia's represent remembrance and lasting affection."

Hawk Flame nods, "This day turned out...terribly. So many deaths...You three should probably go tell Violet about Nightshade before Tidal Wave does. I don't want to see any more children die."

Isabelle waddles away, "He's right. Come on."

Kapua places a kiss on the grave before scampering after Isabelle.

"Leafeon." Isabelle calls, "Are you coming?"

"In a sec."

I pad over to Hawk Flame press my muzzle to his, "Are you going to be okay?"

"No. First Nightshade, now Wild Spark. When will it end?"

I glance over at Fawn Petal who is still staring at the grave with a blank expression on his face.

Pua pokes his head in between us, "Mom?"

Hawk Flame chuckles, "That's adorable. She calls you mom."

Kapua giggles, "I'm a boy."

He smiles warmly, "Oh...'he.' Y'know. I always hoped Wild Spark would stay the way she was when she was little. That sweet kit who only wanted to help others."

"Why do you stay on that Clan?" Pua asks.

"Because the kits need someone to watch after them."

"You're a babysitter?"

"Yes. That's my job in the Clan."

"You get to see a bunch of children grow up...isn't that something special?"

Hawk Flame tilts his head, "I guess it is."

"You could tell those kits about Wild Spark! In a less sad way..."

Hawk Flame nods, "I'll remember that. You take good care of your mother, you hear?"

Pua jumps, "I'll be her babysitter just like you!"

He laughs, "Alright, little one. Now, go on. You have a job to do."

I walk over to Wild Spark's grave and look down at it.
I sit down and wrap my tail around my paws.
The faint color of red is still on them.

I sigh, "I never thought we would have to say goodbye like this. I never thought I'd be the one sitting at your grave."

A soft breeze blows through the clearing, nearly taking the zinnia with it.
I set my paw on its stem and place it back on the grave.

It's a bright yellow one.
Does Kapua just know what fits everyone?

"I never told you this when we were younger but, I love you, Wild Spark. Even if you were mean to me, and bullied me, and tried to kill me that one time. We're still sisters. That never changed. I knew there was good in you, that's why I let you do all of those things to me, I wanted to help you get better. Now, nobody will get to see that side of you. Because of me. Your kits will never get to see the light of day. I-I...Goodbye, Wild Spark, take care of mom for me, okay? And, if you don't hate me, tell me about your kits."

I take one last look at her grave before leaving to meet up with Isa and Pua.

Pua is currently digging in the dirt and Isabelle looks like she's trying to fight off some disease.
She looks like death.
Karma's a bitch.

"Are you sure that Joltik can't kill her?" I ask as I walk over to Pua.

He nods, "It could just be stress...whatever that means." He turns to her, "Isabelle!"

She slowly turns to us, "W-what?"

His eyes widen when he sees her face, "Are you alright?"

"Peachy. I j-just want to go home. I'm so sick of s-seeing people die."

"Maybe we should take you to Maui." Pua suggests.

"W-what's he g-gonna do? S-sing a song? W-we hav-ve to tell Vi-Violet what happened to Nightshade. We h-have to t-tell her e-everything."

"I'll do it." I say stepping forward, "You can stay with Maui until we make our way over to you."

"Y-you c-can't sw-im."

"I'll find a way."

Pua looks around, "We can't let her travel by herself, though. Tidal Wave is the only water type in WaveClan."

I turn back, "Maui always has someone here to watch Lush Jungle."

"Like him?" Pua says, pointing at a tall Primarina.

Where did he come from?
Can he teleport or something?

Isa looks at him and sighs, "A-anyo-ne b-ut C-herry."

Pua snorts, "His name is Cherry!? That's so weird."

Cherry waddles over to us, "Why is she talking like that..." He glances at me and winces, "Aren't you Tidal Wave's nice daughter? Why are you covered in blood?"

"Long story. Can you just take her home?"

He nods, "Yeah. But what happened? and who's this Salandit? Where's-"

"T-ake m-e h-ome!" Isa shouts.

Cherry chuckles, "Alright, Ms. uhh...I'll think about it." He places her onto his back and flies away.

"He didn't even say bye." Pua mumbles before climbing up on my back.

We make the journey to Wela Volcano Park in silence until Kapua decides he wants to start a conversation.
On topics that I would rather not talk about.

"What is sex?"

I'm a great mother!

"Uhh...I'll tell you when you're older."

"Can you make babies with it?"

"Y-yeah."

Isabelle has ruined this child.
Nightshade would definitely have something about this.

He takes off his hat and sets it on my head, "Do you think Wild Spark would've been a good mom?"

If I'm honest, it's hard to say.
Wild Spark did have someone like Hawk Flame in her life but she also had Tidal Wave.
I want to say she would be fairly decent.
She probably wouldn't have to deal with one of her kids asking her what sex was.

Note to self.
Isabelle shouldn't be left alone around children.

"Maybe. I don't really know."

"I think she would be." He pauses, "Why did you kill her? Why didn't you let her kill you; Isabelle told me you wanted to die so you could be with Nightshade."

I look up at the evening sky, "Yeah, I did. Sometimes I still do."

I think back to the moment she lunged at me.
I wanted her to kill me.
But, I dodged her attack.
If I had stayed where I was, she'd be the one still alive.

"Why didn't you let her kill you?"

"Because I remembered that I have someone to live for. I owe it to his mother."

He giggles and leans over to look at my face, "That's so cheesy." He says with a big smile.

I smile, "But it's true."

He leans back and yawns, "I'm really tired. Goodnight, Mom."

"Goodnight, Kapua."

'Sometimes you just have to find something to live for.'

That's what Hawk Flame taught me and my sister.
He said the reason he stayed in WaveClan was for us and the children that would be born after us.
He didn't want any of them to turn out like Tidal Wave did.

Death took away who we lived for.
Tidal Wave took away who we lived for.

It makes me wonder, who does Violet live for?

Specspeare here.
Sorry for the delay, but we're back!
Well, not really.

So, it's June!
June is my favorite month because it's Pride Month.
Because of this, I'll mostly be working on my other story so, yeah.
I'll still update this, it'll just be inconsistent

Once again, the fact that this chapter was released during Pride Month is just another coincidence.

I spent about five hours trying to think of the most cheesy/ gay/ stop being a homophobe things for Leafeon to say.
I don't regret it.
At all.

Also, I realized this chapter is kinda preachy.
I don't know if that's bad or good but I kinda like it.

Recap
~Isabelle likes talking about sex to Kapua behind Leafeon's back (I'm so immature)
~Some stuff about flowers
~Leafeon is finally speaking up to her father.
~Where's my rainbow heart emoji?
~Tidal Wave is still an ignorant prick and instead of listening to the points Leafeon made, he orders his pregnant daughter to fight on his behalf.
~The end result is death to Wild Spark and her unborn kits.
~Tidal Wave is officially the worst Pokemon and the worst father.
~Poor old man Hawk Flame
~Isabelle's karma is still there
~Some morals?

Definitely the gayest thing I have ever written.
