We make it to the ranch and Hapu is there; it's like she was waiting for him.

Hapu frowns, "Not again. I thought you were long gone!"

Mudsdale neighs, "Is that so, Mudsdale?"

She neighs again and points her muzzle at the Pikachu

She shakes her head, "That's a shame. Still stealing Pokémon, I see."

Miracle runs up behind her and grabs the grunt.

"Hey! Hey! No touching!" He yanks his arm away from her and rubs his wrist, "Jeez did you have to squeeze my wrist so hard?"

Miracle puts her hands on her hips and frowns, "Yes."

He narrows his eyes, "Listen. I'll give you this Pikachu."

She reaches for it, "Yo! Wait up! I'm not done talkin' yet. Beat me in a battle and I'll give you this Pikachu."

"Easy! I've beaten you tons of times. Isa! You up for a battle?"

I nod and stand tall next to her.

Drowzee grunt shakes his head, "I want to battle the Pikachu. It's only fair."

Tula walks forward and Drowzee grunt snatches her up.

"Haha! I can't believe you fell for that!" He drops the other Pikachu and runs away with Tula, as Pikachu dashes home.

"Good riddance," Torracat purrs,

"Won't ever have to hear her again."
Nightshade hits Torracat on the head with her tail then uses Dragon Pulse on the grunt.

Drowzee grunt falls to the ground and Tula shocks him, paralyzing him.

Talk about a quick solution to a small problem.

Now, what to do with the grunt?

"We'll tie him up to a tree if course!" Miracle says as she and Rudy tie him and Drowzee to a sturdy tree.

Hapu nods in agreement, "I like that idea! Miracle, you're a smart one."

Hau and Lillie chuckle nervously.

Miracle tightens the rope and the grunt gasps, "I-i can't b-breathe!"
She releases the rope and the grunt gulps in so much air that he starts to cough.

When he can breathe again, he orders his Drowzee to move the ropes, to which Rudy kicks the tree.

"Stop that." Miracle says to all three of them.

"YO!" The grunt yells, his voice scaring some of the Pikipek. "Are you gonna let us go or what?"

"No!" Miracle stomps her foot down, "You stole my Pikachu!"

Drowzee grunt smiles, "I was just joking around. I was gonna give her back. Why you gotta call me out like that?"

Miracle frowns, "I should be on the next island by now!" She face palms and groans, "You're gonna have to pay for wasting my time."

He gulps, "Yo, yo! Chill! We can talk this out!"

"Miracle, what're you gonna do," Hau asks, "If it were me I'd just give him some malasadas! I hear the best way to get to know a person is to give them some food." He looks up at the sky, "At least, I think that's how the saying goes."

Miracle shakes her head, "If I give him food he'll leave, and on the next island, he'll just bother me again. I need a better plan."

The grunt nods, "Deals! We can make a deal."

Miracle eyes him then shrugs, "Alright, Grunt. What's the plan?"

Apparently, Mr. Grunt here has been having some trouble evolving his Drowzee.

"No matter how hard hard I try he just won't evolve."

Maybe it's because you're a grunt.

"I can help with that." Miracle says confidently.

"Miracle." Lillie presses, "We can't trust him. He might be up to something."

"Of course he's up to something." Miracle whispers, "Tula will teach him not to try and trick me."

She pats Tula's head and small blue sparks fly from her cheeks.

Jeez, Tula, chill.
It's not that serious.

Miracle claps her hands, "Alright! we've got a whole day to work through and I have to call my mom when the sun begins to set. That gives us about..." She looks at Hapu.

"That'd be about 5 hours."

"That sounds good to me. We might even have enough time for me to get my grand trial done in the same day."

While Miracle is working with Grunt over there, Rudy and I watch Hapu and Mudsdale as they walk around in the corral.
  
Well, at least I do.

Rudy's ears point forward, "Isn't Mudsdale just the best?" He smiles in admiration, "I want to be just like her when I grow up. Hapu says that she used to be a race horse. Supposedly, she's the best Mudsdale around."

I hear some yelling behind me and Rudy snorts, "Sounds like Miracle's having some trouble."
 
Drowzee is using its psychic abilities to spin Miracle around in the air.

"PUT ME DOWN!!"

She should really be more careful about what she wishes for.

She falls to the ground with a loud thump.

Rudy flinches, "That must've hurt. He shakes his head and opens the corral gate, "Well, I'm gonna go run around with Mudsdale. Bye Isa!"

Who taught him how to do that?

I don't really want to watch Miracle, but everybody else is playing with their friends even Torracat!
And Eevee?

I have to blink to make sure it isn't a dream.
Eevee is actually talking with someone.
And it's Nightshade of all people....Pokémon.
Good for her on making a friend!

I just...wait.
Where's Chase?
Did Miracle just forget about him?
Ehh, probably.

After about two hours of no progress, Miracle decides to enlist the help of music.

"Music is always something fun to work too."

Nightshade nods in agreement.

She's a music nerd!
I'm gonna die if I have to hear some stupid song from Disney again.

"We're on our last legs, so, we will sing! Nightshade help me."

As Nightshade goes to get a radio, Miracle squints up at the sun, "I'm too black for this."

I snorted and got a worried look from Lillie.

"What?" Hau asks.

Miracle chuckles nervously, "Nothing."

Nightshade comes back with the radio and a stick.
She sets the tip of the sticks on fire.
For some reason, her flames are a violet pink color.
It's weird.

Nightshade dances like a Marowak and Tula climbs up on Miracle's shoulder.

"Alright, Grunt! Are you ready for one of the hardest training sessions in your life?"

He shakes his head but Miracle drags him over to the corral anyways.

She gets up on the fence, well more like struggles, get this poor girl a step stool!

"Miracle, what in the world are you doin'?" Hapu asks, still riding on Mudsdale.

Rudy is trotting after them his little legs moving a mile a minute to catch up to them.

"I am going to sing and battle at the same time. The battle will fly by!"

"Just like an Arcanine using Extreme Speed!" Kukui says.

One: Where did he come from?
Two: Stop

Miracle frowns, "Eight out of ten. Too predictable."

Hau leans on the corral fence, "Do you have to stand up there, though? It'd be easier to battle on the ground."

Miracle nods, "I have something I want to try out. Nightshade, play the music!"

She presses play and begins dancing.

Rudy neighs happily, "I love this song!"

Too bad Miracle dances like a dying seal-
Oh.

Grunt looks around, "Is this necessary?"

"Yes! Tula use Charge Beam!"

Grunt steps back, surprised, "Drowzee!"

Drowzee counters it with Confusion.

"Yo! What was that for?!" He yells angrily.

Miracle snaps with the beat, "You can't just expect your opponent to wait for you."

Tula nods and moves with the music, more blue sparks coming from her cheeks, "And I think that was the strongest Charge Beam I've seen so far."

"Pika! Pika!"

Yes, she actually did say pika pika.
I think Grunt's dumbness is rubbing off on her.

Grunt looks at her confused, "How is this gonna help?"

Miracle shrugs, "I don't know. I just wanted to test something." She jumps off the fence, "Feeling hotter than the glowing sun! We won't ever stop until-"

An onslaught of Embers pelts us, causing Miracle to fall off the fence.

She looks at me through the smoke.
"Isabelle! Use Scald!"

I jet the boiling water at the Embers and they evaporate instantly.

Five Team Skull grunts surround us; they're all spazzing in unison
  
"Ey! Yo, Grunt what're you doin' here? You shouda come back with that Pikachu ages ago!"
 
Grunt laughs nervously, "It ran away."

They all stop and stare at him then turn to Miracle.

"This is all your fault!"

"Yeah, it is, and I don't have time to fight," She says nonchalantly.
 
The grunts' Salandit's run forward,

"Too bad!" They yell.

Miracle groans and climbs back up on the fence, "Fine, but you asked for it."
Her Z-ring begins to glow.
  
She does a little dance and Tula does it too.

Tula's body becomes engulfed with a yellow aura and she jumps into Miracle's arms.

They nod before Miracle tosses her into the air.

She spins like a corkscrew in the air and becomes surrounded with blue electricity.

"CASTASTROPIKA!"

Miracle punches the air and Tula launches herself toward the Salandit, each of them being lost in the electric explosion.

When the smoke clears, Tula is sitting on the ground, tightening her headband with a confident smirk.

The grunts shake, "Man! No fair!"
They grab their Salandit's and leave.

"Now that's the kind of Z move I like to see!" Kukui says as Miracle jumps off the fence.

Hapu walks over to us, "You taught this grunts a well-needed lesson!"
"Yeah, but Drowzee hasn't evolved yet." Grunt says.

Miracle points at Tiko, who is messing with some people working on the ranch.

"Go bother Tiko. I'm sure Drowzee will evolve."

We could've done this two hours ago!

Miracle was right now Mr.Grunt here has a Hypno.

Grunt smiles at his newly evolved Hypno who is using his pendulum to hypnotize Rudy.

But...he's blind how-
Why do I even try?

Grunt shakes Miracle's hand causing her ahold body to shake, "Thank you! You helped my Drowzee evolve! Now Guzma will have to promote me!"

Grunt and Hypno run off without another word.

"Well, that was fun!" Miracle says, "I want to get my grand trial done with soooo, I'm gonna go....bye."

Miracle grabs her bag and heads back to Konikoni City, leaving us to scamper after her.
