*1 week later*

(F/n)'s POV

We were outside training, when Hanji came out in a hurry. "Alright cadets, there has been a few Titans that got inside wall Maria! We need you to get your 3DMG and meet us outside of HQ!" She shouted.

Everyone ran inside to get their stuff, then back outside to get their horses. Once we got everything we needed, we waited outside of HQ for the rest to show up.

We all got to the area where the Titans invaded, section commander Hanji and captain Levi came. Commander Erwin stayed at HQ with the rest of the cadets that didn't come.

I wasn't quite sure how the Titans got in yet, but there were more important things to deal with now then that. There were around sixteen Titans in the wall so far. Hanji took her squad and went to take care of some while the new squad Levi would take care of the others.

After around twenty minutes of looking for the Titans, I noticed Armin on the ground hitting one of his gas tanks. "Armin, what's wrong?" I shouted from a roof. "My gas tank stopped working!" He shouted back.

I looked to my left and saw a twelve meter heading for him. "ARMIN!" I shouted, maneuvering down to him. Once I was a few feet away, I sprinted for Armin.

I was in front of him now so I grabbed his arms, and threw him off to the side just as the Titan was above me. And the last thing I did was let out a bloody murder scream.

Levi's POV

I was running on the roof tops when I saw (l/n) get off the roof and head for Arlert. 'What is she doing?' I looked over my shoulder and saw a Titan coming for them.

She got in front of Arlert and basically threw him so he wouldn't get crushed. Before I jumped off the roof, I saw (l/n) looking up at the Titan with pure horror.

She let out a scream, followed by crouching down and covering her head with her arms. "NO!" I shouted just as the Titan stepped on her. "YOU BASTARD!" I shouted again.

That damn Arlert kid started crying, which didn't surprise me. Just as I was about to cut the nape, a loud explosion sound was heard. I looked back at the Titan and it flew backwards.

'What the hell?' I looked down at the ground where (f/n)'s crushed body was. But it wasn't..crushed..? There was a small (f/c) force field that was see-through, over top of her.

'What the fuck is that?!' I ran over to her and hit the force field thing with my sword. But it broke in half, guess it's indestructible. It soon disappeared and I saw (f/n)'s eye was pinched shut. There was a (f/c) glow from underneath her eyepatch.

"Cadet (l/n), can you hear me?" I asked, kneeling down next to her. She slowly looked up at me, "I'm..I'm not d-dead..?" She asked. "Apparently not." I answered her and stood back up.

"Now what the hell was that thing?" I asked (f/n), after I helped her on her feet. "What thing?" She furrowed her eyebrows. "There was like..a shield protecting you." I replied.

"That's weird, I've never had such a thing do that before." She mumbled to herself. "And there was also a glowing from under your eyepatch." I added.

"O-oh....t-there w-was?" She stuttered. "Are you ok? (F/n)..talk to me!" I asked concerned.

(F/n)'s POV

'I don't feel so well...am I tired? Ugh, whatever I must have done, it made me exhausted! It took all of my energy.' I felt dizzy and I felt like I was about to fall over.

The world around me was spinning, and my head was throbbing. "O-oh....t-there w-was?" I asked. I was so weak, I couldn't stand for much longer. "Are you ok? (F/n)..talk to me!" I heard captain Levi say.

But which one? I saw three of him! I squinted my eye just staring at him, which he gave me a weird look. "I..I think I.."

3rd Person POV

Hanji got to them as fast as she could when she heard the loud explosion sound. Armin's gas tank started working again. So he took care of the Titan that almost killed (f/n), before it could stand back up again.

"(F/N), WHAT WAS THAT NOISE?!" She shouted in excitement, but she saw she was knocked out. "What happened, shorty?" She asked walking over to them.

"I honestly don't know, but a Titan was about to crush her. Then a force field just-" "A FORCE FIELD?!" Hanji shouted. Levi raised an eyebrow, "I KNOW SOMEONE WHO KNOWS ALL ABOUT THOSE!" Hanji shouted again.

"You do?" Levi asked. "Yup! Her name is Rani Kataoka! She studies this topic, and it turns out that there was someone else with this power. But he sadly passed away a couple years ago. Ms. Kataoka was lucky enough to experiment on him though!" Hanji exclaimed.

"You lost me at, force field." Levi replied, obviously bored. "Whatever. Hey, do you mind if I experiment on (f/n) and maybe take her to meet Ms. Kataoka?!" Hanji asked.

"No." Levi immediately answered. "Please!" She begged, on her knees and her hands clasped together. "No." He repeated. "PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEE!" She shouted.

"Ok fine! Only if you shut up though." Levi sighed. "YAY! THANK YOU SHORTY!" She flashed a huge smile from ear to ear. "But promise me you won't kill her, I don't need another one of my squad members dead." Levi muttered.

"You got it, shor-" "Shut it, shitty glasses." Levi cut her off with a glare. "Oh! And all the Titans are gone, so we can get back to HQ now." Hanji said. "I can take (f/n) back and see if she's fine." She added.

"Tch." Levi responded, watching Hanji take (f/n) away. He got on his horse and led his squad back to HQ.

*HQ*

(F/n)'s POV

I woke up in the infirmary. I saw Hanji at the counter looking at something. "H-Hanji..?" I weakly and quietly said. "Hmm?" She hummed in response. "What happened?" I asked her.

"From what shorty told me, you defended yourself with a force field!" She smiled. "Huh?" I tilted my head to the side, I don't really remember what she's talking about..but I kind of remember.

"Never mind that for now, but I'm going to be experimenting on you to see how it works!" She evilly smiled. I could never trust that creepy scientist smile thing she does when she gets overly excited.

"I'm going to ask you some questions ok?" She asked, sitting down in a chair next to my bed with a clipboard. I nodded and quietly sighed. 'Great, Hanji's experiments almost always gets someone injured.'

"First off, how are you feeling?" "Fine I guess, but my head still hurts a little." I replied. I saw her writing things down on the papers she had. "Ok, has this ever happened to you before? Was this the first time?" She asked.

"That was the first time." I answered, and she wrote down more stuff. "Have you experienced anything strange at all?" She raised an eyebrow. "Like what?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"Let's say like, have you felt differently? Or had weird dreams?" Hanji answered. "I don't think so..? But I have had weird dreams. But I don't think they would have anything to do with this ability." I answered her.

"Could you tell me anyways?" She gave me the puppy eyes. I sighed again, "Once I had a dream about a mother leaving her baby at someone's door..I don't know. It's just a strange dream." I told Hanji.

"Hmm...interesting." Hanji mumbled to herself, still writing things down. "So did you feel anything when that Titan tried to crush you?" She looked up from her papers at me. "No." I simply said.

"Do you think it happens when you're being threatened or being harmed?" She looked back down at her papers. "Maybe." I stared at the ceiling trying to figure out how and why this happened.

"Well, when you feel better we can do some tests to see what triggers this 'shield' to protect you." She smiled, standing up from the chair. "And I want you to meet someone later, she studies about this power!" Hanji added.

"Ok." I replied, and she left the infirmary. I lied my head back on the pillow and slowly fell asleep.
