Herobrine leads you out of the cave, protecting you from the monsters that try to attack. You talk with him the entire way, and as you reach sunlight, you both are laughing.

"Do you mind if I take you back to your house?" Herobrine asks, looking at you.

"Oh, of course not!" You reply. "Come on, it's this way," Now it's your turn to lead, as you both head towards your small house.

"I just realised," Herobrine says, as your house comes into view. "You know my name, but I never got yours,"

"Oh?" You question, before telling him your name. He repeats it, in a question, gazing at you.

"I like that name," he smiles, and you can't help but smile back. The two of you continue to the house, and you hold the door open for him. "Are you sure?"

"Of course!" You say, smiling again. "You're nowhere near as evil as the stories claim, you're welcome to come in!" Herobrine smiles meekly, and you see that he blushes softly.

After a few moments, he walks in, looking around.

"It's not much," you explain. "I haven't collected much in the way of decorations,"

"I like it," Herobrine responds. "It's simple, yet there's a beauty to it,"

Herobrine spends the rest of the day with you, talking and laughing. He tells you stories of his adventures, most of which are strange, hearing them from his point of view. You suddenly remember that you're not actually from this world, but you discard the thought. Herobrine is nothing like you expected him to be, and not in a bad way. Him sitting across from you, the way he laughs and tells his stories, the glimmer of happiness in his glowing white eyes... there's something about it all that makes you feel. You're not sure you know what the feeling is, but you are sure that it's a good feeling, and that you're feeling it.

Before either of you even realise, the sun has begun to set. It casts a beautiful orange glow through the window of your house, and you tell Herobrine to watch it with you. You both race outside, sitting on the stairs together and watching. You dismiss the fear that monsters will soon start spawning, and focus on the moment you're in.

"I love watching the sun set," Herobrine says, as he leans his back against the door. "It's always so relaxing,"

"I love them two," you reply, placing your hands on the stair beside you. What you hadn't realised, was that Herobrine's hand already lay where you just put yours. You look down at it instinctively, before up at Herobrine. He stares ahead at the dying sun, but again his cheeks grow warm and pink. You look back ahead, and as the last rays of sun hide behind the horizon, Herobrine stands.

"I need to be getting... back home," he says, looking down at you. He helps you to your feet, as you ask,

"Why don't you stay the night?" you ask, and Herobrine sighs, shaking his head.

"You should have your own house to yourself, especially to sleep," he replies. "It just feels wrong to me." You feel that your body does grow tired, so you merely agree.

"But... come back tomorrow, okay?" You open the door behind you, as Herobrine begins to walk away.

"Of course," he says, smiling back at you.

You find yourself watching him as his feet carry him out of view.
