Chapter 10: I'll Think About It
After a while of waiting for Alex to wake up, Thomas was beginning to contemplate if he should keep waiting or just go to bed. He looked around and ended up deciding on the latter.
Thomas nodded to himself and stood up, beginning to walk out of the room. He was almost out when he heard a groan and Alex shifting. He immediately whirled around to face Alex and stared into his eyes.
Alex's eyes were full of hate, and Thomas' were full of compassion. "Lexi. You're awake," he simply stated.
"Why, yes. What an astute observation," Alex said sarcastically, rolling his eyes.
Thomas did the same. "Come on. Don't be like that."
"Oh, gee. I'm sorry. I wasn't aware that I was supposed to be nice to the man who broke my heart," Alex hissed. He looked like he was about to say more, but before he could get his words out, he clutched his head, groaning.
Thomas sat down next to Alex, wanting to hold him and help him through the pain of his hangover. He reached out to do just that, and Alex hissed and pulled away. "Leave me alone. Go back to your precious James."
"Precious?" Thomas repeated, chuckling at the absurdity of Alex's statement. "Darlin', he means nothing to me."
Alex glared at Thomas. "Then why did you kiss him then, hm?"
Thomas opened his mouth to respond, but shut it when he realized he didn't have a good explanation.
"That's what I thought. Now piss off," Alex said, grabbing a blanket and pulling it over his head.
That's when Thomas' phone buzzed. He looked down at it. A text from Laf.
LafaYEET: How's Alex doing?
Thomas sighed to himself and answered with:
MacaroniFuker: He's got a bit of a hangover, but fine. He told me to piss off though.
Thomas turned his phone off and looked at the lump that was Alex. "Lexi, can we please talk about this?"
"There's nothing to talk about," camd Alex's voice from under the blanket. "You kissed James and destroyed my feelings. End of story."
Thomas sighed and patted Alex. Alex went rigid at first, but slowly relaxed into Thomas' touch. Thomas noticed this and smirked a little.
Thomas' phone buzzed once more. He checked it, revealing his lock screen of a picture of him, James, and Laf. Ah, the good ol' days.
Another text from Laf.
LafaYEET: I'm on my way.
Thomas smiled to himself. He didn't deserve Laf as a friend. Or Alex as a lover.
Thomas and Alex sat in silence for a little while, his hand still on Alex's...back? Arm? It was hard to tell, but after a while of this, there was a knock on the door.
"That must be Laf..," Thomas mumbled to no one.
"Laf's coming?" Alex asked, removing the blanket from his head and staring into Thomas' eyes.
Thomas practically melted at how adorable Alex looked. His big, brown eyes were shiny due to tears, and the eay he wrapped the blanket around himself made him look like a cute hobo. Thomas nodded and stood up. "Yeah."
As soon as Thomas opened the door, Laf bounded into the dorm, pretty much knocking Thomas over. "WHERE IS ALEX?!" he demanded, looking around. "I NEED TO SOOTHE HIS PAIN FROM SATAN. AND I DID MEAN THE ALCOHOL, IF I WAS NOT CLEAR-"
"Right in front of you?" Thomas said, rolling his eyes as he gestured to Alex.
Laf's eyes finally landed on Alex. "Oh." He walked up to him and hugged him tightly. "Are you all right, mon ami?" Laf asked lovingly.
"Yeah..," Alex mumbled, hugging back. "Just a little hangover, is all..."
"Is anything going on between you and Thomas?" Laf "casually" asked. "Because he told me you told him to piss off."
Alex sighed. He then smirked. "Oh. You haven't heard? Thomas k--"
"UuH that's our personal business, and you don't need to know about it!" Thomas babbled to Laf, smiling awkwardly.
Laf raised an eyebrow. "Thomas, let Alex finish."
"Bu--" Thomas started.
"No buts," Laf said in a motherly tone. He turned back to Alex. "Now, what were you saying?"
"I was saying that Thomas kissed James right in front of me, and that's why I told him to piss off," Alex said smugly, a smirk on his face.
Thomas looked down. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Laf slowly turning to him. "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH Y--"
"In my defense," Thomas squeaked, "I brought him home after he got himself drunk..."
"THAT DOESN'T MAKE WHAT YOU DID OKAY!" Laf hissed.
Alex chuckled, looking at Thomas. "He's right. Now, do me a favor and go away."
Laf looked at Thomas with rage-filled eyes and nodded.
Thomas sighed and started to walk out of the dorm to find another place to stay when he stopped dead in his tracks. He turned back to Laf and Alex. "No."
Alex and Laf looked at each other. "Sorry, Thomas, but you've gotta go," Laf said, shaking his head. "You done fucked up, and now you need to face the consequences."
"No," Thomas said, walking up to them. Thomas kneeled in front of Alex and grabbed his hand.
Alex tried to yank his hand away from Thomas, but the floofy fellow's grip was solid. And, truthfully, Alex kinda missed the feeling of Thomas' hand holding his, so he stopped trying to escape his grip.
"Alex..," Thomas began, looking into the eyes of the short workaholic. "I am so sorry for betraying you like I did. There's no excuse for what I've done, and I'm asking for your forgiveness. It would overjoy me if you gave me a second chance to make this relationship work, and I promise that if you do, you won't regret it."
Then Thomas placed a loving kiss to Alex's knuckles.
Alex felt his breathing hitch. He bit his lip as blush spread across his face, despite the hate he had felt for Thomas a few seconds prior.
There was silence for a while, except for Laf's quiet fangirling at how romantic the scene was. Thomas was beginning to get nervous as to what Alex's response would be, when...
"I'll think about it."
Thomas' mouth dropped open, and his grip involuntarily tightened on Alex's hand. "F-for real?" he asked, his body shaking from pure ecstasy.
Alex nodded, a soft smile on his face.
Thomas glanced over at Laf, and he looked a lot less angry. He even flashed Thomas a thumbs-up and gave him a little nod.
Thomas couldn't help the dopey grin that slipped onto his face as he let go of Alex's hand. "O-okay then. Yay! Uh...I'm gonna give you some space to make your decision...and...y-yeah!" Thomas said, running out of the dorm excitedly. He couldn't wait to tell Burr! (Which was probably who he'd be staying with, since he didn't have a lot of friends.)
As Thomas left, Alex turned to Laf. "Should I give him a second chance?"
Without hesitation, Laf nodded. "Oui. He cares about you so much, and I think he learned his lesson. Although, I might not be able to forgive him for a while."
Alex giggled and nodded. "I think you're right. I'll tell him tomorrow morning. Thanks, Laf."
Laf nodded with a smile and got up. "Well, I think I should be heading back to my dorm. It's getting late."
Alex smiled as well. "All right. Bye," he said with a wave.
"Au revoir, mon ami," Laf said, also waving. He walked out of the dorm, satisfied that Jamilton would be cannon once more.

When Thomas got to Aaron's place, he told him everything. When he finished, Aaron bit his lip.
"You know 'I'll think about it' doesn't mean a yes, right?" Aaron asked timidly.
Thomas thought for a minute. "Oh my God, you're right. Oh no..." He curled into a ball and rocked back and forth.
"B-but it doesn't mean a no either!" Aaron said, trying to take what he said back.
Thomas didn't respond. He just kept rocking, muttering to himself.
Aaron sighed, putting a hand on Thomas' shoulder. "Look, man, it's gonna be fine, okay?"
Thomas sighed as well. "I hope so..."
