Chapter Four. Friendly Reminders.
-Dean-
"Hey Cas." Meeting Castiel every day is like getting an extremely friendly reminder telling you that the person you are rapidly falling for has no idea that that's happening. He turns around when he hears me calling his name and he smiles at me. It slightly annoys me that just his smile makes my legs weak and gives me a feeling I can't quite explain. If I tried to explain it I would probably say longing.
"Hello Dean." Damn, his smile makes me smile. We're on the way to school, we started to meet up because our ways crossed and it's always nice with some company. And I shamelessly enjoy his company. Just having him near me, I have discovered, makes me worry less.
"So how are you today?" I say and follows him as he continues down the road. He shrugs before answering.
"I feel good. So far today is nice." He quiets down and I can't help wondering if he had had any dreams yet. As if he could read my mind he starts talking again.
"But my nights are still dreamless." He sighs and I smile slightly at him.
"Don't worry, you'll start to dream soon." The big school building becomes visible when we walk in on another street. We walk all the way to school in silence, I suppose he's trying to figure out who he will dream about.
"Penny for your thoughts?" I joke as I open the door to school and he still hasn't said something. He wakes up from his thoughts.
"What?" He looks confused and I don't think he heard what I said.
"Sorry," he says. "I was wondering who my soulmate was." He looks cute when he's confused.
"Nevermind. Do we have math as first class or...?" I ask.
-Castiel-
I yawn and give my math textbook a tired look. It's hard to fall asleep when you know that it might be the night you have your first dream about your soulmate. Dean pokes me with his pen.
"Can you help me, I don't even understand this question." Dean pouts and points to question 72 b. I chuckle as I read what the small text says.
"Dude, even I don't know the answer to that." Dean sighs.
"I swear, half the questions in this book are 'Leon have 61 apples, Lily have 32 babanas, remove six of Tobias oranges, now you should have the answer to how many episodes Sophia can watch in one week if she reads eleven pages every day'." He complains. I roll my eyes and smiles.
"Then ask the teacher for help if you don't understand." I replies and Dean groans.
When, two classes later, our teacher tells us the class ends it's lunch. I do as usual and follows Dean. I can actually, finally, find my way to the cafeteria by my own now but whatever.
"Hey Sammy." Dean says as we sit down at his and Gabriels table. They doesn't seem to notice that Dean said something, or they just doesn't care because they're involved in a heated argument of which one of the Lord Of The Rings movies that is the best one.
"Samsquatch, you are wrong. It's the third movie that's the best!" Gabriel almost dropps his lollipop when he yells.
"Nope, not a chance, second is waaaay better." Sam says calmly. Dean rolls his eyes.
"You're both wrong. First movie all the way." He exclaims while chugging down water. "What about you Cas, which one's your favorite?" They all turn their heads to me.
"Uh, you know what, I prefer Doctor Who." I say and Sam laughs.
"Yeah, actually same here." Sam says and Gabriel gives him a weird look.
"What is with everyone and that show? I haven't even seen it." Sam gives him a horrified face.
"I am going to make you watch Doctor Who! You're not doing anything after school?" Dean laughs at them.
