|X’s POV|

Me and Ty were joking around as we walked to first period, Dee come over in the morning to make sure I ate, so that I wouldn’t pass out again like yesterday and then left, I think she’s a bit upset with me. Medically I’m not sure if there’s something wrong with me, I don’t want to find out either, but my mom insists that I see a doctor or something.

“Aren’t you gonna go in? Or is Narnia too interesting?” Tyler teased, I laughed as we walked in the classroom.

“Narnia is definitely much more interesting than the real world my sweet Ty.” I said as I padded his cheek and smiled, he just laughed and walked to a seat and sat down, there was an open seat next to him and I took that one, slamming my book bag on the floor and cringed when I realized I did it too loud, the teacher looked up and gave me a dirty look.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to be loud.” I said trying to look as cute as possible, my cuteness always gets me out of trouble.

“Watch it next time Xavier.” The teacher shook her head but I could tell she was trying to hide her smile.

“You got game X.” Tyler said smirking, I rolled my eyes.

“Too bad rainbows is your thing.” He said playfully winking at me, I covered my mouth to keep from laughing, I made sure the teacher wasn’t looking when I punched his arm, he pretended to be hurt then just smiled.

“You hit like a girl.” He whispered, and I stuck my tongue out at him making him laugh, I was right away looked to my other side to make it seem like I wasn’t talking to him, the teacher told him to be quiet and he just said sorry, at first I wasn’t really paying attention to what I was looking at, the guy next to me was looking for something in his book bag, so he was leaning down to his side, but from what I can see I knew that I hadn’t met this dude before.

‘Hmm, is this a new student? I wonder if he’s … Nope! Can’t have boyfriends remember?! We’re in the closet!’ I thought to myself.

I sighed and turned to the front putting my hands under my chin holding my head, while the teacher called out names for attendance.

“Xavier?” The teacher called.

“Here Ms.Bustamante.” I answered raising my hand, she nodded and checked my name from her list, I started zoning out when I heard..

“Derek?” She called…. Derek? Who’s tha-

“Here.” A deep voice said, a voice that sent shivers through out my whole body.

“I know that voice…” I whispered to myself, I was to into shock to look who it was, I flinched when I felt a hand on my thigh and saw that it was Tyler, he gave me a confused look.

“You’re talking to yourself again, are you ok buddy?” He asked in a quiet voice, I nodded but I’m guessing my face gave me away because he gave me a ‘Don’t lie to me X’ look. I sighed and wrote a quick note to him.

‘Can we talk about something after school? You’ll probably think I’m crazy, btw is the guy next to me new?’

I waited until the teacher turned to face the chalk board to give Tyler the note, he took it and put it on top of the book pretending to be reading the book, he didn’t write back, he simply smiled and nodded.

I was waiting for him to answer my other question, he mouthed ‘what?’ to me and I rolled my eyes again, I pointed to the paper and he went over it again and he looked up at me and then moved a little to see the guy next to me, his eyes widened as if he just realized something.

‘That’s weird’ I thought to myself.

He then turned to me and nodded and quickly turning to the front.

‘Very fucking weird… heh I shouldn’t be talking’

I shrugged and put my head down because my head was pounding.

“Xavier, am I boring you?” The teacher asked.

“No Ms.Bustamante, my head is pounding.” I said as I sat up straight… ‘hah straight.’

“Do you need to go to the nurse’s office?” She asked and I shook my head.

“No I’ll fine.”

She nodded and kept going with the lecture, I was looking straight ahead and I kind of spaced out.

‘The new student can’t be him, it just would be…. I know what it would be, he sounds exactly like him, it’s so weird…’

“X, let’s go!” I heard Tyler say and I looked at him confused.

“Go?... Go where?” I looked around to see that it was only the teacher, Ty and myself in the classroom… ‘wtf?’

“How long was I out for?!” I asked shocked as I gathered my stuff, and stuffing it in my book bag.

“The whole period.” Tyler shrugged as if it wasn’t weird at all, which I guess it’s not because I usually space out for a long time at random times.

“Let’s go, we’re gonna be late for our next class!” Tyler said getting nervous, which was making me nervous.

“Shut up, I don’t like to be hurried.” I said and he just huffed, finally after I was done with putting my stuff away I swung my book bag over my shoulder, we walked out of the classroom I noticed someone walking away and I recognized his back and the back of his head, I’ve seen him before but not in the school, or outside of school… can it be really him?

“Hello my sweet babies!” Dee said in a really exited voice… hmm I don’t like the sound of it. I looked at Ty and it seems that he’s thinking the same thing as me.

“What’s wrong Dee?” I asked and Dee smiled and looked at us funny.

“What do you mean? Nothing's wrong.” She answered still smiling.

“Stop smiling like that you’re creeping me out. Now seriously, what’s wrong?” Tyler asked and we waited for her response, she sighed and dropped the smile, she shook her head and looked at us kind of sad.

“Someone told me I looked intimidating… not in a rude way just I don’t know, they said that I look like the tomboy of the town.” She said trying to shrug it off, but I could tell that who ever said that to her, hurt her feelings.

“Who said that?” I asked calmly…. My friends know me too well.

“It-“ Dee started and Tyler covered her mouth with his hands.

“If you tell him, his gonna murder someone Dee!” Tyler said, I chuckled a little.

“That didn’t hurt my feelings at all Ty.” I said sarcastically while crossing my arms, I smiled a little when I heard a muffled laugh coming from Dee who was trying to take Tyler’s hands off of her mouth.

“Leh Go Ty!” She said as she struggled to removed his hands, Tyler just laughed and finally took his hands off.

“Sorry X, can’t tell you who said that to me, but don’t worry they didn’t mean it in a mean way.” Dee said as she put her hands on my shoulders, I smiled and nodded and turned to start walking towards my second period, Science.

I liked science because I didn’t have a lab partner and I could concentrate on my work better.

“We have to go, the bell is gonna ring, Dee I need to talk to you text me when you can please?” I asked and she nodded and gave me a real Dee half smile, Tyler just looked at us confused but shrugged it off.

The three off us each went our own way, because we didn’t have second period together. I got to my class on time surprisingly, even the teacher looked surprised, I just smiled and went to my seat I set my book bag down on top of the table quietly this time. I was beginning to take my notebook and pen out when I heard the teacher say.

“Welcome, you can have a seat next to Xavier, he’ll be your lab partner.” Mr.Rickman said, I wasn’t looking at them because I couldn’t find my stupid pen.

‘What?! New lab partner? But I don’t-

“Hi, you must be Xavier.. I’m Damon, your new lab partner.” He said.

‘That voice…..’

I gulped and looked up to see the most beautiful grey eyes I’ve ever seen in my life.

“It’s you…” I said not meaning to say it out loud.
