Adam, Chase and I were standing by our lockers when Bree came up to us

"Guys you will never believe what just happened, Jake Chambers asked me to go to the winter dance! " Bree said squealing.

"That's amazing congrats Bree!" I said while hugging her and she smiled

"Jake Chambers? THE Jake Chambers!" Chase asked

"Yes!" Bree said

"Who's Jake Chambers?" He asked

"The only guy who's even talked to me ever since people found out we were bionic. Apparently no one wants to date a girl who they think was unveiled at this year's auto show," Bree replied

"Yeah, I hear you. A long time ago no one wanted to date me either," Chase said then Adam and Bree rolled their eyes as Chase and I kissed

"Why do you guys always do that in front of us?" Adam groaned

"You're just jealous you don't have anyone to kiss."

"No!"

"Oh really? Well then who are you going with to the dance so you can kiss them?" Chase asked Adam

"No one," Adam said while walking away

"That's what I thought," I said while high fiving Chase

"Attention students this is your Principal, Principal Perry please report to the hallway where Bree Davenport is making a fool out of her self in front of the boy she has a crush on," Adam announced through the microphone.  Bree looked so embarrassed as everyone was looking at her and laughing

"I'm gonna just go," Jake said while walking away

"Why would you do that?!" Bree said smacking Adam

"Hey. If Perry were alive she'd want me to do this," Adam argued

"She's not dead. She's home with a cold," I deadpanned

"You don't know that. She could be dead by now and this is how I'd choose to honor her," Adam replied

"Can't you embarrass someone else besides me?" Bree asked

"I could," Adam said before walking up to Chase and pulling his pants down. Chase quickly pulled them back up but some of the students were laughing

"Adam come here for a second please," I said and he confidently walked over to me

I then punched him in the gut and he doubled over in pain, "Scarlett!"

"What? I thought we were harassing each other?"

The next day at school I walked in to see Adam walk out of Principal Perry's office but then I watched as Principal Perry walked up to Adam. Wait I thought she was sick still?

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?" Principal Perry asked

"Principal Perry? I thought you were sick," Adam gasped 

"I am, but I ran out of people to give the virus to, so I'm spreading it around here," She said, oh that makes sense

"I heard you were embarrassing the students. Well, I think it's time to embarrass you," She said crossing her arms

"Good luck with that. I've been embarrassing myself for years. It's kind of hard to top the master," Adam said confidently

A couple minutes passed and Adam was forced to change into different clothes

"Come out," Perry ordered and as Adam came out everyone started laughing including me seeing as he was dressed like Chase but the clothes barely fit him

"Okay, you topped the master," Adam said embarrassed. 

"You look ridiculous," Chase said while high fiving Perry, what is going on? Why are they both so close to each other

"You realize I'm dressed like you," Adam said

"Except he makes it work," I chuckled

Later that night as Bree and I were both at home getting ready for the dance she got a message on her phone, "Ooh! Jake will be here any minute! How do I look?"

She twirled around in her red dress, her hair perfectly straight with black heels and golden earrings

"Gorgeous, now go downstairs and wait for him! I have to finish up a few things before I meet you, Jake, and Chase downstairs so I'll see you soon," I reassured her, she smiled

"Thanks! And you look beautiful to, I love this whole fire and ice thing we decided on. Blue is definitely your color," Bree commented

"Well shoot, now I'll have to change my Phantom suit," I teased, she chuckled and then parted my room as I finished getting ready

Bree and I decided to do a "fire and ice" theme between ourselves for the Winter Dance, I wore a simple light blue dress that was off the shoulder with a pair of silver heels and matching silver jewelry

As I finished up my makeup and curled my hair to perfection I grabbed my clutch and headed downstairs to see both Bree and Chase arguing while Adam had this smirk on his face

"Hey guys! Sorry I took so long, are we ready to go?" I asked as I came downstairs

"Woah..." Bree gasped as she watched me walk downstairs, which confused me because she knew what I was wearing

"Uh Bree? You okay?" I asked

"Yeah Bree, are you okay?" Chase said in a knowing tone

"What? Oh yeah! Yeah I'm fine! You just.... You look spectacular Scarlet," Bree softly smile, I put a hand over my heart

"Aw Bree, you're to sweet. Chase what do you think?" I pondered

"Oh! You look great!" Chase spoke, before Bree elbowed him harshly and he glared at her

"Well, Chase you look dashing yourself. Aw and you even wore a matching bowtie!" I smiled, going up to him and gently fixing his bowtie, leaning in to give him a kiss when he suddenly backed up

"Uh, how about a high five instead?" Chase asked, I frowned confused

"Chase!" Bree hissed

"What?" Chase growled

"Oh this is to good," Adam smirked

"Is everything okay?" I asked Chase seriously

"Yes! Everything's fine! Just uh... don't wanna ruin your makeup is all!" Chase nervously laughed

"You never cared about that before..." I mumbled

"Haha! He's just being stupid like always," Bree hissed, "Lets getting going shall we? There's a long night ahead of us."

"Oh it's going to be a long night alright," Adam smirked

"Is something going on--" I began

"Lets go!" Bree urged, shoving Jake out the door and Chase followed after her

As we arrived at the dance Chase was being weird, like weird in the sense that he didn't want to be super close to me which is odd because we both love physical touch

"Ladies and gentlemen let's get this party started! Whoo! With a slow love ballad," Adam announced from the DJ booth with a smirk on his face

I turned to Chase, this could be my chance, "Hey, lets go dance."

"Oh um... now? You're... You're sure you don't wanna get some punch first? Or just sit? And... talk?" Chase asked, I gave him a look

"Chase is something wrong?" I asked, and suddenly Bree came up between us

"Haha? Nothings wrong! You know Chase, always a buzz kill. Listen can I borrow him a minute," Bree spoke, and just as I was about to respond Bree grabbed Chase and dragged him out to the hallway

Jake and I looked to each other confused, "Does this always happen?"

"With them? Not really, but trust me when I tell you Bree is super excited to be here with you, she just gets really nervous," I reassured, he smiled lightly

"Thanks. And you and Chase are both really good together," Jake complimented I smiled

"Thanks," I spoke, and we stood in awkward silence for a bit

"I don't mean to be weird, but we could dance while we wait for them? Only if you wanted, I don't want to give you the wrong idea," Jake suggested

"You know what? Why not. Hey Adam, put on something upbeat would you?" I called, Adam smirked

"Your wish is my command," Adam spoke, before changing the slow song into a more upbeat one

Jake and I then made our way to the dance floor and made sure to keep a respectable distance as we danced to the music, trying to make the most of the night

As I was chatting Jake up about Bree suddenly she came rushing in with Chase behind her and pulled me away, "What are you doing?!"

"Oh! Bree I promise this isn't bad, Jake and I were just dancing and he'd love for you to dance with him to," I winked, trying to tell her that I was helping her out

"Yeah Bree, why don't you take Scarlett's place," Chase urged, shoving Bree towards Jake who caught her before she fell to the floor, but then she shoved herself off of him

Okay, what is going on? Something is definitely wrong, Bree was super excited about going to the dance with Jake. I need to test something

"Chase, do you mind if we go somewhere more private?" I spoke, giving him a face

"Now?" he squeaked, I nodded and grabbed his arm before pulling him away

I pulled him in a corner away from everyone, "Thank god, It was getting stuffy out there on the floor, this is much better."

I cheekily put my arms around his neck as I purposely got in super close, he clammed up and kept his hands at his sides, "Oh, um... yeah it is hot out there. Why don't we get you something to drink?"

"I think I'm good right here, the only thing I need to keep my energy up would be a couple of kisses if you know what I mean," I winked, trying to hide my smirk as I saw my plan was working

"Wait what?!" Chase gasped

I then leaned in as close as I could get, pretending to go for a kiss before he shrieked and pushed me off him, "Wait I'm not Chase!"

"Ha! I knew something was off! Now spill! Who is parading as Chase?" I smirked, 'Chase' groaned

"It's me, Bree! Chase and I pranked Adam earlier when I pretended to be Principal Perry, so I changed the cybercloak to turn myself into Chase to prove a point and then I got stuck this way. So I have Chase go as me so Jake wouldn't get scared off and I paraded as him to try and make tonight special for you like he asked," Bree sighed

"Wait so Chase is..." I began, before laughing, holding my stomach at the amount of laughter and how hilarious the situation was

"Wait so... you're not mad?" She asked

"No! Well, a little because you didn't tell me straight away, but we can fix this. Grab 'Bree' and meet me in the hallway. I think I know how to fix this," I spoke, wiping away a tear that had fallen from my eye from me laughing

"Scarlett if you can fix this I will owe you for life," Bree spoke, rushing off to get Chase as I walked into the hallway

They both met me there and Chase basically panicked, "Scarlett! Shouldn't you--"

"I know that's you Chase, I knew something was going on the moment 'Bree' gasped at my dress when we picked it out together," I spoke, Chase sheepishly smiled as Bree

"Oh thank god!" he sighed, tapping the cybercloak and turning back into himself as he came over to me and gave my a kiss on my forehead as he held my waist, "Have I ever mentioned I love how smart you are?"

"Hello! Still stuck as loverboy here!" Bree groaned, I chuckled and gently moved out of Chase's grasp

"My guess is the thing short-circuited because of how long you used it, so if I use enough electricity here..." I spoke, gently placing a finger on the device on her neck and giving it a small shock, watching as Bree morphed from Chase back to herself, "Then that should do it."

Bree looked down at herself and squealed, wrapping me in a tight hug, "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! I owe you big time!"

"Anytime! Now go! You have a lot to explain to Jake," I urged, she nodded and rushed back into the gym and I turned back to Chase

"I can't believe I didn't think of that, this whole thing could've been solved in seconds," Chase sighed, I giggled and wrapped my arms around his neck and he pulled me closer to him

"It was a moment of crisis and you did what you could, but please don't ever do that again. I almost kissed my best friend/sister," I shuddered

Chase chuckled, "I will try my best. What do you say we get back in there and try to restart this whole night."

I smiled, "I'd love that. As long as you take me to get ice cream after."

"You, my love, have a deal."
