Last night the bionic trio managed to fix a ruptured pipe line while I was training my powers, but as we got to school the next day everyone was staring at the trio in fear and awe, holding devices playing something

"What's everybody looking at?" Bree asked reffering to the students looking down at their tablets in amusement

"A new viral video. Guess what it's called? The world's first bionic humans," Principal Perry explained

"What?" We all asked at the same time

"Wait there are other bionic people? Then why are we working so hard?" Adam asked and I rolled my eyes

"She's talking about us," Chase deadpanned

"Yeah look," Perry said while showing us the video

"That's yesterday's mission," Chase said

"Somebody filmed us," Bree gapped

"Your secrets out everyone's gonna know your bionic," Leo pointed out

"This isn't good," I muttered, knowing how dangerous it can be to let powerful secrets get out

"Never mind that! Now I can't blackmail Daddy Bigbucks anymore! My gravy train just went right off the tracks!" Principal Perry complained

"Everyones looking at us," Bree spoke while looking around

"Hey. Quit your staring, scram. So they're bionic, get to class before they mow you down with their finger missiles," Perry said to the students scaring them off

"Scaring people is the last thing we need right now!" I sighed as everyone departed, including her

"How could this happen? What are we going to do?" Bree panicked

"I don't know. We're in big trouble," Chase said

"Wait! I know how we can fix this. We'll convince everyone the video was made with special effects. You know like those fake videos Adam's always watching," Leo said

"So giant baby eats Tokyo is fake? I should've know where are they going to get a diaper that big?" Adam said, I rolled my eyes

"Leo that might actually work," Chase said and I nodded in agreement

"In the mean time, let's go talk to Davenport. I'll drive us home and catch my family up to speed if we need anything else," I spoke, they all nodded

"Wait is giant baby eats London fake too? Because I just sent 50 bucks to the victim's relief fund," Adam asked and we walked away

"Mr. Davenport!" Chase exclaimed as we walked in

"We just heard," Davenport spoke

"What are we going to do?" Tasha asked

"I say we sell Chase to the circus and use the money to start our new life," Adam offered

"Big D, I know how we can spin this," Leo began

"No we're way past spinning, Leo. That video is all over the news experts have verifed the footage wasn't manipulated," Douglas said turning on the tv and showing us the video, "People all over the world are freaking out."

"Of course they are they just saw Chase in a skin tight mission suit," Adam said and I clearly had no problem with Chase's mission suit

"Douglas's right this is way too big to spin," Davenport gravely spoke

"I can't believe this you guys are the biggest news story ever and I got scoped," Tasha complained and we shot her a look

"How could this happen?" Davenport asked looking at his tablet.

"I don't know! I did a thermo scan of the mission site. No one was there," Chase spoke

"Well the footage from my Daven earth satellite says otherwise. See someone's standing right there," Davenport pointed out, showing us the video on his tablet

"What? But I scanned the site," Chase defended

"Yeah well you missed a spot and now the entire family is endanger, even Scarlett's," Davenport said

"Come on, Donny. The kid made a mistake, could have happened to anyone," Douglas offered

"It's nothing that we can't handle, Sam should get to me soon on ways we can fix this. It'll be alright," I reassured, putting a comforting hand on Chase's arm

"Ehh not really, he's the only one with thermo scans," Adam spoke and I punched his arm and he winced

"So what's our next move?" Leo asked.

"Give Tasha Davenport an exclusive interview?" Tasha asked and again we all shot her a look. "It's my job to ask."

My phone beeped, looking down I checked and saw Sam had talked to Mom, "Sam just got back to me, their going to contact some government contacts to try and relieve the situation and they'll provide us with anything else we may need."

"That's great, Scarlett. We need all the help we can get. But for now don't worry guys I've prepared for this. I've got a safe house in a secure location you three will hide there. It's got capsules, food everything you'll need for a year's worth of survival," Davenport spoke

"A year?" Bree asked

"Well 343 days after that rock, paper, scissors and eat the looser," Davenport said, "In the meantime I'm gonna hold a press conference and prove to the world your not dangerous when they're ready to accept you, you'll come home. Any questions?"

"Yeah I finally decided to whiten my teeth. Wait that's not a question. So yeah, no questions," Adam spoke

"Everybody get your stuff we leave in five minutes," Davenport ordered and we all left to pack up

"Adam what are you doing?" Bree asked Adam who was looking up something on his laptop

"I don't want to loose touch with people to I'm sending out an email with the address of our safe house," Adam replied

"Great while you do that I'll tell Davenport that we need a new safe house," Bree said

"I've already prepared for this, there's a Phantom Safe house where Davenport can transfer anything you'll need. In the meantime you'll stay there since Adam blew our cover," I spoke, throwing Adam a look

"Are you going to stay with us?" Bree asked, I frowned

"I'll come visit, but I have to stay behind. If Phantom can convince the world you're not dangerous then you can come home sooner. Davenport is already prepping a press conference for me. I promise, things will go back to normal," I reassured her

"Guys, where's Mr. Davenport?" Chase asked while running into the living room

"He's still upstairs, what's going on?" I asked

"I was right, I did scan the site but the girl didn't show up on my chip log," Chase explained

"So what does that mean?" Adam asked

Just then the lights turned off and some guys wearing all black came in and started yelling, confused at what was going on I felt one of them grab me and pull me away from the bionic trio as they pushed them to the ground

"Hey get off of them!" I shouted

"Secure the perimeter. Don't try anything we have more than enough fire power to take you down. Hit the lights I need eyes on them," One guy ordered and the men in black picked the trio back up

"Who are you?" Chase asked

"Why are you doing this?" Bree asked

"Quiet I ask the questions," The guy order before picking up his walkie talkie and saying.

"We've got them. Bionic targets have been secured."

"This is what I would say if I found them but I haven't," Adam said into the walkie talkie as if he were the guy

"No you've got it all wrong! We're not a threat you, obviously saw the video of us fixing the pipe line," Bree reassured

"Were on your team," Chase added

"I'll decide who's team your on," The guy responded

"Oh you know what would help, if we did shirts and skits come on guys," Adam said

"Keep your shirt on," The guy ordered

"Fine, you be skins I was just trying to be nice. I know how you old guys are about showing your love handles," Adam said, then from upstairs I watched as one guy rushed Davenport and Tasha downstairs and the guy who stood behind me pushed me over to them

"Okay, okay. I know my rights and you can't barge in here without a warrent," Tasha warned, but then he showed her the warrent, "Oh wow, aren't you just Mr. Prepared."

"Mr. Davenport talk to him," Chase pleaded

"Tell them to let us go," Bree added

"Guys, there's nothing I can do, it's over," Davenport gravely spoke, Tasha gently grabbed me by the shoulders and held me close as we all looked around at each other defeated

Chase and I locked eyes, obviously he was terrified but he was trying to hide it. And there was no way Phantom could just randomly appear and help

What are we gonna do?

The guy 'interrogated' each of us separately, but I didn't give them a word of evidence since I was use to this kind of thing, and eventually because I was a minor they brought me back to Tasha and Davenport in the lab, all of us came up and we rushed to the trio

"Great news guys they got nothing on you, you're free to go," Tasha reassured

"I never said that," The guy spoke

"But you don't have any evidence that they're-" I began

"Their bionic humans, I don't need anymore evidence. And I will be taking them away for a more thorough examination," The guy said

"Where?" Bree asked

"Secure testing facility in the desert." He said

"Ooh is it area 51?" Adam asked

"No," The agent replied

"Area 52?"

"No."

"Area 53?"

"No!"

"He's getting madder I must be closer."

"You guys are gonna love working with him," Chase spoke

"What about Mr. Davenport? What's gonna happen to him?" I asked

"He's been hovering unauthorized weapons of mass destruction so, he'll be taken into custody," He explained

"It dosen't matter what happens to me but admit it you're never going to let them go," Davenport spoke

"Don't worry lots of people thrive in solitary confinement," The agent said

"Wait your gonna split them up?!" Mr. Davenport exclaimed

"Absolutely. They're too dangerous to leave together so, they'll be seperated so they're no longer a threat," He replied

"What does that mean?" Bree asked.

"It means you're never going to see eachother again," Davenport said and I was furious, I sharply turned to the guy in the suit

"You have no idea who you're messing with, I know people who could ruin your life," I growled

"Scarlett—" Tasha began

"I'd watch yourself, missy. Because one slip up from you and I can ruin your families lives," he warned, I glared

"Is that a threat?"

"It's a promise."

"Then you better get your firearms ready. I'm not going anywhere without a fight."

The guy made sure to keep armed guards around me, not that they'd do anything to me but I wouldn't risk Davenport and Tasha like that

"Transports on its way," the man spoke, walking away and I glared as he left

I turned back to my family and the trio stood up, Chase spoke, "We're not even gonna get to say goodbye to Leo."

"Hey, don't talk like that. You make it sound like you all will be gone forever," I pouted, reach out to him before the two guards shouted at me

"Step away from him!" They ordered, I glared but complied

"We will fix this, you will be coming home. I'll make sure of it," I reassured, giving them a small smile, they all gave me sad smiles in return

"We're still gonna miss you guys so much," Bree spoke

"Yeah, I'm definitely gonna miss making fun of Chase every morning," Adam pouted, "Aw man! Now I'm tearing up!"

"Don't worry, guys, we're gonna get through this. Like Scarlett said," Tasha reassured

"Yeah. Guys, I wanna give you something to remember me by. When times get tough, I hope this will get you through," Davenport spoke, he walked over behind the couch and then brought over a cardboard cutout of himself

"Hey, but we can't take that," Bree spoke, walking over to the cutout

"Why?"

"Because it's broken," Bree spoke, then furiously ripped the head off the cardboard cutout and hit the discarded body, I held a hand over my mouth to try and contain my laughter as she handed him the head

Even in a dark time, it's good to look at the little things that spark joy
