School was almost out and I was stoked! Well for my family at least, we all managed to become December grads and we would graduate soon after Christmas! It was amazing! It would be the year I graduate and I could finally focus on college! I had already applied to several places and was just waiting to hear back by now

But after school I went to go train with Oliver, Kaz, and Skylar, I beamed as I walked into the room

"Good afternoon everyone! Let's not waste anymore time shall we?" I smiled

"Someone seems happy," Oliver commented

"Who wouldn't be at this time? It's almost winter vacation and for the rest of us it means no more school forever!" Kaz cheered

"Kaz you know you still have to go to college right?" Skylar commented

"Not technically, I've already got a great thing going," Kaz spoke

"He's got a point," Oliver added

"Well I, for one, can't wait to go to college," I remarked, setting my backpack on a stray chair

"What do you plan on doing?" Oliver asked

"Well I plan on majoring in fashion. I know loads of colleges that have superhero programs so I can design suits for superheroes. And fashion for normal people," I explained

"Scarlett that's so cool! You'd be amazing!" Skylar cheered

"Sounds like a lot of effort," Kaz commented

"Don't you basically save lives everyday?" I remarked

"Touché."

"Let's get started, Kaz and I have used the Clutioniam your Grandfather gave us and made a few formulas and some drinking concoctions. All of which you can take at the same time safely because they offer different opportunities," Oliver explained

"Sweet! Then let's get started!"

"And... same old responses..." Oliver mumbled as he looked over my stats, I grabbed a towel from Skylar and placed it around the back of my neck

I ran a hand through my messy ponytail, "Well it could be worse... I could be dying."

"I'm really sorry Scarlett, but we've done everything we can at this point," Kaz spoke, I nodded

"I know... I think it's time I realize that those powers aren't coming back..."

"None of this is your fault," Skylar began

"I know. But I've got so many other powers, so I'll just start having sessions to strengthen those. Fire and Clution crystals will be more than enough to take down Claire and TJ. So let's start prepping for those yeah?" I spoke, Oliver and Kaz nodded

"Are you sure you're okay?" Skylar softly asked

I softly smiled, "It hurts... but nothing I can't bounce back from. Better to move on then continue working on something that will probably never happen."

She smiled, "We're all really proud of you, you know that right?"

"Of course I do," I smiled, then my phone rang

I pulled it out and saw Chase on the phone, "Hang on one second."

She nodded and I went to a corner of the room and answered the call, "Hey Chase! What's—"

"Babe there's a problem!" He shrieked, I immediately got serious

"Are you alright? Who's in trouble?"

"So... it's kinda a long story..."

"Our with it Chase! Who's in danger?!"

"So when Adam, Leo, and I went to see that movie apparently Janelle was there and Leo was screaming the whole time but then blamed it on us because Janelle was there. So we wanted to teach him a lesson and set up Davenports prototype sharks to scare him in front of Janelle but now they are attacking us and we can't use our bionics in front of Janelle. So..."

"So you need me to come as Phantom and help you?"

"Please!"

"When will you guys learn not to prank each other? I'm on my way, don't move," I sighed

"Wasn't planning on it," Chase replied and I hung up, rubbing my forehead out of frustration

"Everything okay?" Oliver asked

"Sometimes I wonder how I get stuck in certain situations so I'm just contemplating my life choices right now."

I burst through the front door in my Phantom suit, looking around at all the fog and seeing the boys on the kitchen island and Janelle on the couch

"Does there really need to be this much fog?" I pondered

"It was for dramatic effect!" Adam defended, I rolled my eyes

"Phantom! What are you doing here?!" Janelle gasped, I rushed over to her

"No time to explain, but you are to low to the ground right now. Come here," I urged, she easily agreed and I picked her up, taking her over to the counter where the boys helped her back up

"Now where are they?" I asked

"No idea," Adam spoke, I glanced at Chase annoyed

"Yeah... there's just kinda— Look out!" Chase yelled, I quickly turned around and punched an oncoming shark, hitting it straight in the nose as it fell back to the ground and 'swam' away

"So cool! But also terrifying!" Leo gasped

"How do I shut them down?" I asked, walking around the room carefully

"If you can get the big one the smaller ones should shut down with it!" Chase urged

"And how in the world as I suppose to find the big one with all this fog?!" I questioned, turning back to them

"I— yeah I got nothing," Chase spoke, I sighed

Suddenly I heard noises come from beside me, quickly turning to the left I saw a small shark jumping at me from the fog, I grabbed it easily, holding it inches from my face as it wiggled in my grasp

"On your right!" Leo shouted, and just like before the small shark jumped out at me but this time to the right, I easily grabbed it like before, both of them wiggling in my hands

"I know I'm tasty but you don't have permission to take a chunk out of me!" I growled, holding them both away from me

"Phantom!" Janelle's shrieked, I looked ahead at her only to see the big shark coming straight at me, I smirked

"Use the underlings to distract the target, clever boy..." I muttered, slamming the two sharks together just as the big one tackled me down to the ground

"No!" Everyone yelled as I went down

I easily kept the shark from biting me underneath all the fog, glaring at him, "Sorry Davenport... now where... Ah ha!"

I grabbed the sharks fin and easily ripped it from its body, the shark shutting down and its red glowing eyes becoming dark, I sighed in relief as I pushed the deactivated shark off me and stood up, holding the fin in my hand as I smirked

"Beach's closed sharks, find someone else to chew on," I remarked, discarding the fin onto the floor

Everyone sighed and cheered with relief as Janelle got down and rushed me into a hug, "Oh thank you Phantom!"

I slightly smiled and patted her back as she let go, "Just doing my job. Are you alright?"

She smiled, "Yes, thank you! But going back to earlier why are you here? How'd you know we were in danger?"

"Uh...." I began

"Phantom.... Phantom works with Mr. Davenport!" Chase quickly suggested

"She does?" Adam asked, Chase slapped him on the arm

"Yes! Yes Ha... Davenport and I are... very close and so I know the whole family! You won't believe how many messes they get into that I save them from!" I nervously spoke

"Makes sense..." Janelle shrugged, inside I sighed with relief

"And you can thank Leo for calling me. He wanted to make sure you were safe so technically... half this save is on him," I spoke, throwing a wink to Leo

"I— Yes! Yes I called Phantom! Leo saves the day!" Leo cheered

"Don't push it kid," I warned, Janelle then turned to Leo

"Thank you for calling Phantom and saving me. And for buying me a new pair of shoes. I'm a size seven," Janelle spoke, giving me one last thankful smile as she walked out the door

I turned to the boys, "Now about you three—"

"We know! We know! We shouldn't have used the sharks to get back at Leo," Chase began

"Actually I was gonna say just be smarter about the sharks. Davenports technology somehow always messes up, even though he's a 'tech mobile'," I responded

"Wait what?! So you're just gonna let them get away with almost killing me and Janelle?!" Leo shrieked

"No, of course not! What they did was extremely wrong but you should also take some responsibility, Leo. Lying about your shark phobia to impress Janelle is not how you win a girl. You have to be honest with her, always," I explained, Leo sighed

"I hate when your right."

"So... to make up for it I'm going to pick out a pair of shoes for Janelle so you can buy them for her. And you two are going to fix up the sharks and get rid of all this fog," I explained

"That's fair," Chase sighed

"Dibs on the sharks!" Adam cheered, rushing through the living room to try and find the sharks

Leo then stocked off to his room leaving me with basically Chase, "Thank you for coming to my rescue."

I smirked, "Just saving my damsel in distress."

"Oh so I'm the damsel in distress?"

"With how much stupid stuff you get stuck in, I'm gonna say yes."

About an hour later, Bree, Davenport, and Perry all came back to the house. Davenport went down to the lab, and when we asked Bree why Perry was with them, she filled us in on everything that happened to her today. Apparently, Perry tried to get into this country club, but lied and said Davenport was her husband and Bree was her daughter. It ended up not working out, but Perry now feels like she is a part of the family

I sat in between Leo and Chase as we all watched Perry in disgust. She was sitting in a chair as she sucked on a mint very loudly. It was very disturbing, and I thought I was going to puke

"Minty," She said to us, which made Chase and I gag

"You know, some people do that with their mouth closed," Chase told her in disgust

Perry responded, "Because they don't know how to get the flavor out. Get used to it. I'm going to be here all summer long."

As she continued to suck on her mint very loudly, we all cringed in disgust before standing up from the couch. We went to walk away, but Bree and I stopped when we heard gagging behind us. We turned around and our eyes widened when we saw Perry was now choking on the mint

"Guys, she's choking!" Bree exclaimed which caused the boys to stop

"Leo, you know CPR. Give her mouth to mouth!" Adam said to him

"You don't give someone who's choking CPR. You give them the heimlich!" Leo responded

"Oh, I know how to do that!" Adam said

Adam ran over and helped Perry stand up from the chair. He immediately began to perform the heimlich on her, but when the mint flew out of her mouth, it landed right inside of Leo's mouth. He immediately swallowed it without realizing it, and our eyes widened as he began to gag. My hands flew up to my mouth so I wouldn't start laughing, but I already kind of was

Chase looked disgusted while trying not to laugh as he asked, "Did that just go in your-"

"Mhm!" Leo said as he nodded his head in shock and disgust

"It's okay! I know mouth to mouth!" Perry shouted before running towards Leo

"No, no!" Leo shouted before running away from her

As Perry chased Leo throughout the house, Adam, Bree, Chase, and I all sat down on the couch and laughed

"You know, karma is really fast acting when it comes to us," I spoke, they all nodded and we laughed again
