he remembered so little
and he remembered so much
the blaring of his alarm woke him from the best sleep he had
and woke her as well
they let it ring
they let it annoy them for minutes

he slowly reached his hand out and stopped it
then he looked at her
her brown eyes
small nose
chocolate hair
and her lips
she smiled at him
he smiled back
they smiled for a long time
and he didn't want to do it
but he broke the silence

i can get you some of my sister's clothes. they will probably fit you

she nodded and thanked him

regretfully
he walked out
picked an outfit from her drawers
and sighed

shoving his hand in his pocket
he thought about the conversations
about the pressure
about the excitement
about the future
and about his music
she asked him to play for him
and he couldn't refuse
with big brown eyes curiously staring into his

he asked her what she wanted to hear
and she said
something no one had heard
kind of like she wanted something reserved for her
and he didn't tell her that when he saw her that night
he had a swarm of inspiration
and they were about her
he wasn't ever going go release it

mike slowly walked to her room
she was sitting on the edge of his bed
her hair somewhat of a mess
and makeup smudged from the previous day
she still looked beautiful

when he handed her the bundle
their hands touched
electricity seemed to shock through his veins
as cliche as it was
but his stomach moved like waves
and he had to stop looking at her before he did something stupid

she blushed a little
but smiled at him through her eyelashes
and told him she would see him soon
then thanked him for letting her stay the night

he said anytime
but what he really wanted to say
was that she should stay over more
so they could have more of those types of conversations
but he decided
that it was a start
and he was grateful for this small start
