The night passed by, and the morning arrived,
Elara was gone, still asleep, she had thrived.
Curious, Mavenn stood up, looking her way,
But something felt off, as if shadows did sway.

He glanced at the sofa, but she wasn't there,
His heart grew heavy, filled with despair.
Something felt wrong, a chill in the air,
As though a mystery lingered, hidden somewhere.

There he saw a bird at the window,
A species he'd never seen, not long ago.
"Hello there, little one," he said with a smile,
As he approached, curious all the while.

But then, with a start, he was jolted in fright,
A familiar voice cried out, "Mavenn, help!" in the light.
He turned to the window and saw her there,
Loreal, knocking, with a look of despair.

"Loreal?" he asked, his heart skipping a beat.
"They want to take me back," she replied in defeat.
Without hesitation, he opened the door wide,
Letting her in, as she shivered and sighed.

"Why are you even here?" he asked with a whisper,
As confusion swirled, growing crisper.
"I have a vision, but I guess you won't believe it," she said,
Her voice tinged with worry, her words full of dread.

"What are you talking about?" Mavenn asked with a frown,
Trying to make sense of the strange turn around.
"There's a bad spirit lurking, dark as the night,"
She answered, her eyes wide, filled with fright.

"Who's this?" said Dianne, holding breakfast in hand.
"She's part of my vision," Loreal whispered, barely able to stand.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" Dianne asked, warm and kind,
"Uh... she's my sister!" Mavenn stammered, his thoughts in a bind.

"I can't believe we... finally met!" he exclaimed, his heart full of surprise,
As the truth unraveled before his wide, eager eyes.
The morning felt different, the air filled with change,
As Mavenn's world shifted, feeling oddly strange.

"Then come in! What a Christmas surprise!" said the lady with a cheer.
"In return," said Loreal, "What can we do for this kindness so dear?"
Dianne sighed heavily, her heart filled with care,
"My poor daughter's been so melancholy, it's hard to bear.
₊˚ʚ 🌱 ₊˚✧ ゚. 🌿
I want her to be happy, but I don't know how," she said with a sigh,
"Perhaps it's the Christmas spirit that's brought you nearby."
The two just smiled, not wishing to reveal,
The secret they held, a mystery to conceal.

And so, as the days went by, they observed Elara,
"Are you alright? Come on, let's go out," said Loreal with a smile, not far.
"I don't want to. I'm sorry," Elara replied, her voice low,
Her eyes distant, as if lost in a place only she knows.

"But why?" Loreal asked, her voice filled with care,
As she tried to break through the sadness in the air.
Deep inside, Mavenn knew,
That maybe Elara was just like him, too.

A woman who wanted only to be alone,
Staying in her comfort zone, her quiet throne.
Mavenn understood the feeling all too well,
Sometimes, the heart needs a place where it can dwell.
