You fill me up 'til you're empty
I took too much and you let me
We've been down all these roads before
And what we found don't live there anymore
It's dark
It's cold
If my hand is not the one you're meant to hold
Maybe you'd be happier with someone else
Maybe loving me's the reason you can't love yourself
Before I turn your heart into a ghost town
Show me everything we built so I can tear it all down
Down
Down, down, down
You know I'll stay don't you tempt me
But all this weight is getting heavy
Been holding up what wasn't meant to stand
I turned this love into a wasteland
It's dark
It's cold
If my hand is not the one you're meant to hold
Maybe you'd be happier with someone else
Maybe loving me's the reason you can't love yourself
Before I turn your heart into a ghost town
Show me everything we built so I can tear it all down
Down
Down, down, down
Tear it all down
Down
Down, down, down
The streets are empty
Where love once was but it's faded away
These broken memories
I'm left here alone and afraid to say
Maybe you'd be happier with someone else
Oh-oh-oh
Maybe you'd be happier with someone else
Maybe loving me's the reason you can't love yourself
Before I turn your heart into a ghost town
Show me everything we built so I can tear it all down
Down
Down, down, down
Tear it all down
Down
Down, down, down
I'll tear it all down
I'll tear it all down

No Entry Frequent Disappearance. The sign read as they drove past the gate. The place was originally a mansion of a company president, who ran a local barbecue chain store. But last July, due to the mad cow disease, the barbecue store suffered a devastating blow. He committed suicide with his family over a heavy debt. Since then, the mansion has become a well-known haunted spot. Local high school students, college students from other towns, and the unemployed all came here to test their courage and then disappeared one after another. Perhaps it's the word of mouth that led to the expansion of victims. After all, such rumours spread fast. And these days, the internet made it even worse, leading to increase workload of the jujutsu sorcerers.
"Recently three pupils disappeared on their way home, as well as their families, the police, their colleagues and friends. They might have gone to the mansion to search for the missing people, and ended up being victimised. We must solve it as soon as possible." Utahime Iori the girl with thin eyebrows, brown eyes and black hair said.
"Jujutsu headquarters thinks so too. That's why they offered a considerable reward." Ena Yaga said running her fingers through her mid-length pearl blonde hair, her ice blue eyes fixed on her cellphone.
"So your plan is to extort them?"
"You're on it as well."
"Because unlike you, I'm not favoured by our sir." Utahime commented handing her an umbrella, it was pouring since dawn.
Ena was an orphan adopted by Masamichi Yaga a teacher of Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School when she was a baby. The man have been a parental figure all her life; he took care of her, raised her and loves her but sometimes Ena do think about who her parents were and why they abandoned her?
They stood outside the decaying haunted mansion, covered with moss and greens. It must've been a beauty back then. "I can't sense any kind of curse energy. It's most likely inside the building."
Utahime agreed twisting the door knob, "it's not locked but there's something blocking the door." So the two teenagers pushed the door in together, the smell of garbage invaded their nostrils as they stepped in. The mansion was littered with garbage.
"It's indeed a curse and it's everywhere." Ena commented as she felt the heaviness of the cursed energy pulsating inside.
"What a place. Looks less like a mansion and more like a dumpster."
"The electricity is still working though." She switched on the lights, every corner of the house was filled with litter. Something was really wrong with this place.
They decided to scan the building first, checking one room after the other. The rooms in the ground floor seemed endless, there should only be five to six rooms according to the layout but they'd checked out at least thirty rooms by the time they reached the end of the corridor.
"Finally," Utahime wiped a sweat off her brows twisting the knob of the final door, the room was empty but there were two twin beds neatly made. They heard movements under the beds. "It's coming from under the bed."
"Check it out."
"Why me?"
"I can't bend in this skirt." Ena smoothed the lapels of her mini skirt.
"Only you would wear such clothings in a mission." Utahime huffed a breathe of disbelief as she went down on her knees and peeped under one of the bed. "Ahhh!" She shrieked.
Three fat dark grey house rats came rushing out.
"Ahhh!" Ena screamed bolting out of the room.
"Why are you screaming?"
"Rats!" Ena panted locking the door behind.
"I thought you weren't scared of anything, miss I know it all."
"Rodents and creepy crawlies are different okay!"
A mischievous smile passed Utahime's face. "Okay..."
"Hey! Where's the door?"
"What door?"
"The door of the room we just entered?" Ena looked around, "wasn't it at the end of the corridor?"
"It was." Utahime scratched the back of her neck confused. The girls were standing on a long corridor, it looked nothing like the mansion they stepped in an hour ago. They'd been walking for almost 30 minutes but the corridor never seem to end. The rain was still pouring outside.
Ena halted and pointed at the garbages with the tip of her umbrella. "Snack boxes, potato chip packagings. Drink cans, a backpack and a sweatshirt. I've already seen these three times. It seems we have been trapped here and going around in a circle."
"That means we're in an innate domain."
"Or it's a manifestation of mental scenery."
"Barrier technique," Utahime said rubbing her jaws.
"The victims were probably trapped here too, and eventually killed by the cursed spirits. But judging by the cursed technique, the cursed spirit itself isn't so strong. As long as we can escape this barrier..."
Even though Ena Yaga is a junior, none can beat her knowledge on cursed spirits and techniques as she learned from the best.
"So any idea how do we break through?"
"If my assumption on the structure is correct, then two people moving at high speed in different directions is more likely to break the barrier. Once there's a gap we might be able to escape."
"Did you know all along?"
"Figured out some minutes ago."
"Then why didn't you say a thing?" Utahime clenched her jaws.
"I wanted the rain to stop."
"Ugh!" The black hair girl grunted, "when we get out of this hell hole I'm going to strangle you."
"See you on the other side." Ena winked running the opposite direction. Utahime is her only girl pal and even though the black hair girl is grumpy most of the time, she's one of the kindest and most selfless person Ena know.
The girls ran swifter as the barrier began to shake and break into bits and pieces and then the whole house collapsed like it was struck by lightning.
The pearl blonde hair girl rose up from the ground, dusting herself. The sun was high up in the sky. Wasn't it raining some seconds ago? "I came to save you, love." Satoru Gojo offered his hand.
The girl took the hand of the very tall and attractive guy, he pulled her up towards him, his snow-white hair and vibrant blue eyes reflecting under the sunlight. "Where's Utahime?"
Utahime struggled pulling herself up from the debris. "I'm here idiots!"
"Are you crying Utahime?" Gojo looked down on the girl, who's white dress was stained brown.
"I'm not crying!"
"If I cried, would you comfort me Toru. I'd really like that." A sly smirk passed Ena's flawless face.
The tall boy put an arm around her. "Ena, you would never cry as you're so strong."
"Is that so?"
Utahime rolled her eyes, "can you both_"
At that very moment the cursed spirit resembling a rotten potato appeared behind her. But before the creature could make it's move a large green and brown worm came out of the blue and swallowed it.
The worm was Suguru Geto cursed technique, he consumes cursed spirits and use them as his bidding. "Satoru, it's not good to pick on the weak." The boy was just two inches shorter than Gojo, with black eyes and dark hair tied up behind his head.
"What idiot would pick on the strong?" Gojo stated the obvious. "You're being the provocative one, Suguru."
Utahime was beaming at the sight of Geto, the girl have a major crush on the handsome guy. But Geto, doesn't seem to be interested in girls.
"I think the house collapsed cos of Utahime!" Gojo joked nodding at the disaster before them, the structure was completely gone.
"You..." the girl's jaws ticked Gojo always pushes her buttons even though she's their senior.
"It's good that it collapsed, we searched Disneyland for two long days." Geto said standing besides Utahime, who looked like she was going melt any second standing that close to her crush.
Ena had lied that she and Utahime were visiting Disneyland so that Masamichi won't interfere in their mission. After their mission was successful he was going to find out anyway but it wouldn't matter because he won't be able to do anything and they'd be paid in full. Because the jujutsu society has put out a notice to pay any jujutsu sorcerer who get rids of the cursed spirit here.
"So, the cursed spirit's barrier indeed has time distortion." Ena said calculatingly, she'd no idea they were stuck there for two days. It only felt like two hours. "If we'd been working for two days, we should be paid extra."
"So you're going to extort them more?" Utahime blinked in disbelief.
Ena's reply was a slow nod.
🌠🌠🌠
Because the curtain wasn't pulled down when the house collapsed an explosion occurred in Hamamatsu city, Shizuoka. It was all over the news. The four teenagers sat on the carpeted floor as their tall, muscular and tan sir Masamichi Yaga towered above them. "First of all, Ena and Utahime lied about going to Disneyland_"
"Sir it's Ena she didn't want you to find out about the mission." Utahime corrected.
Ena threw her a disappointing look but she couldn't blame her friend, they were all scared of Masamichi after all. "Because sensi would disapprove." Sensi in Japanese means teacher.
The tan man arched a brow, "because you're doing it for the money Ena."
"Is it so wrong to earn money with our talents?" Because being a jujutsu sorcerer isn't a walk in the park, in fact, it's one of the hardest jobs in the world. Not only is the sorcerer putting his or her life on the line but if the mission fails, it affects the public too.
"The way you do things is...I'll deal with you later." The girl didn't miss the disappointment in her sensi's voice. He turned his attention to Gojo and Geto. "One of you said you'll pull down the curtain yourself, then left the assistant supervisor and ran away, right? Who's the culprit?"
"Sir, can we not look for the culprit." Gojo's voice was innocent. Between the two boys, Gojo was the reckless one and it was so obvious.
"Looks like it's you Satoru," he gave a hard knock on Gojo's head with his heavy knuckles, "it's time to discipline you."
Ena laid down on the polished basketball floor. "Dinner is on me boys," she announced checking out restaurants to eat, the society just paid her and Utahime an hour ago for their work.
Gojo rolled up besides her, he's grumpy after his punishment. "Is the curtain really necessary? It's not a big deal if ordinary people see it, is it? They can't see cursed spirits or jujitsu anyway."
"Of course it's a big deal," Geto said fiddling with the basketball. "To suppress cursed spirits, it's crucial to maintain their peace of minds. So, we must do our best to hide the threats that are invisible to them. Not just that..."
"I get it. I get it..." Gojo rose up, snatched the ball from Geto and tossed it into the ring. "But it's tiring to be nice to the weak. Seriously!"
"Survival of the weak is the way society should be." Geto said getting a hold of the ball. "Side the weak and fight the strong. Listen carefully, Satoru. Jujutsu exists to protect non-sorcerers."
"Is that a common belief? I hate common beliefs."
"What?" Geto asked none too gently as he tossed the ball into the ring.
"Making up reasons of responsibilities of having power. Isn't that exactly a behaviour of the weak?"
The dark hair boy looked at his friend irritably. Gojo was full of himself and wanted to do things his own way, not giving a second thought about the consequences of his actions.
"Don't just stand there on your high horse making your big talk. Eww." The snow-white hair boy cringed.
"Let's talk outside, Satoru." Geto threatened as a dark cursed spirit formed behind him.
"Are you lonely?" Gojo looked up from his glasses. "Go out yourself. I'll be chilling with my love."
They were best friends who fight like enemies. "Boys," Ena finally rose up, wanting to end the nonsense. "Let's go the mall."
"Now?" Geto looked at her, his expression softening at her sight.
"Yes Gru." she flashed him her alluring smile. "I want to do a little shopping."
Her smile was the thing that captivated Geto, when they first met. And it was the same smile she gave when Masamichi Yaga informed the boys about her tragic fate. She'd known all along what her future is going to be like but there's not a day when she seemed afraid to face it.
Ena's the star plasma vessel, the suitable vessel for master Tengen. Although master Tengen has the cursed technique of immortality, he's not ageless. Aging alone isn't a problem, but when aging exceeds a certain level, the cursed technique will try to rebuild the body. Evolution. He will no longer be human but a higher-level being. Once that stage is reached, there won't be his will anymore, and he will no longer be master Tengen. All the jujutsu high schools, the barriers of the jujitsu realm's strongholds, and the barrier techniques of numerous assistant supervisors, they all relay in master Tengen to increase their strength. Without his help, they can barely protect themselves or carry out missions. In the worst case, he might even become an enemy of humanity. So, once every 500 years, he has to merge with a star plasma vessel, a suitable human for master Tengen, and rewrite the body's information. As long as the body is rejuvenated, the cursed technique effect will be restored and there will be no evolution.
And as the 500 year mark of the blue moon is at their doorstep. They needed to be more aware of their surroundings and keep her identity hidden, like they did all this time so that their enemies won't get to her and kill her before she fulfils her destiny.
