I know that seeking help can be difficult because we don't want to burden others, but a bag handled by two people is a lot easier to carry! Treat yourself as kindly as you treat others.

Even though being strong feels like the only option you have right now, make sure to take pride in the victories you've won, the rough roads you've walked, and the overwhelming waves you've surfed, no matter how trivial you think they seem.

I wrote this in the hopes of providing a simple instance of how to deal with children with special needs and for all of us to see them as not being too much, but rather to view ourselves as the ones who fall short.
