Sorry for not uploading sooner, I had a lot to do for school and also had some other stuff to deal with. Anyway here's the next chapter. I hope you like it.

In front of Tails' workshop

Shadow woke up early in the morning and walked out of the door without waking up the others. "Finally I can run at full speed again." Shadow said to himself before he dashed off. He ran through the forest and ran to Station Square. Shadow stopped as he came across a jewelry shop. "She obviously likes me and I'm sure she would like another jewel in her collection." Shadow thought and entered the shop. After five minutes he came out and looked at the small box in his hands. "I hope she likes it." Shadow said and continued his walk until his peace was interrupted by a gun shot.

The bullet just missed him and Shadow immediately started running to avoid being hit. "What do they think they're doing?" Shadow asked himself but didn't think about asking the G.U.N. soldiers who where running after him.  Thanks to Shadow's speed he was soon out of sight. He ran out of the town and back to Tails' workshop.

In front of Tail's workshop

Silver and Sonic opened the door and walked outside. "Why is he running without me." Sonic asked and looked at Silver. "You know that Shadow likes to be alone." Silver answered. "That's true but how am I supposed to annoy him if he isn't here." Sonic replied. "You know, maybe if you wouldn't anno - ihhh" "Whoa!" Silver and Sonic said as they landed on the ground after something ran passed them. "Shadow that's not funny." Sonic and Silver said at the same time as they entered the house. "I think I have a problem." Shadow said to the others who were, thanks to Sonic and Silver's screaming, were standing in the living room. "We all know that." Sonic said with a grin on his face and Shadow punched him on the arm causing his grin to disappear. Sonic glared at him and rubbed the place were Shadow hit him. "Shut up, I'm serious Sonic." Shadow said and turned back to Rouge. "What did you do this time?" Rouge asked. "I don't know why but all of a sudden G.U.N. soldiers were after me." Shadow explained but didn't get an answer as Tails' phone suddenly started ringing. Tails went to the ringing phone and picked up.

On the phone

"Hello." Tails said.
"Hello Tails, here's Abraham Tower. I have a few questions about Shadow the Hedgehog." the commander replied.
"About Shadow? Why would you ask me about Shadow?" Tails asked and looked confused to the others who heard the whole conversation. Sonic wanted to say something but got stopped by Amy.
"Because we can't ask Rouge. She wouldn't tell us were he is even if she would know it." the commander said a bit angry.
"Okay, so you want to ask me where Shadow is?" Tails asked.
"Yes, have you any information about his whereabouts?" the commander asked and Tails looked to Shadow who had a 'don't tell them I'm here' look on his face.
"Well ... I've seen him last week but haven't seen him since." Tails answered.
"Okay, thanks anyway." the commander said.
"Why are you searching for Shadow?" Tails asked before the commander had the chance to hung up.
"He attacked Station Square last knight and killed 20 persons and 32 were injured." the commander replied.
"Okay if I hear anything about his whereabouts I'll inform you immediately." Tails said and looked worried at the others.
"Thanks, I hope we find him soon." the commander said and hung up.

End of the conversation

"I have no idea what he's talking about and I didn't kill anyone." Shadow said. "That can't be true because Shadow was all the time with us." Rouge said angrily. "Guys calm down, we know that Shadow didn't do anything." Amy replied and looked worried at Sonic. "Could it be that Mephiles attacked Station Square?" Silver asked all of a sudden. "I think you could be right for once." Sonic said and smiled at Silver who gave him a death glare. "Hey I'm just naive and not dumb." Silver said angrily and Sonic's grin just grew wider. "Guys stop fighting, we have other problems right now." Blaze said and looked angry at Sonic and Silver. "She's right we should destroy Mephiles first before we destroy each other." Tails said and walked into his workshop. "That reminds me that we have to call Knuckles." Amy said and dialed Knuckles' phone number.

On the phone

"What now?" Knuckles asked angrily.
"Hello to you too." Amy answered.
"What do you want?" Knuckles asked again.
"Would you come with us to destroy Mephiles. Tails' finally found his hiding place and turned Shadow back into his normal self." Amy said.
"I've always time for clopping this idiot." Knuckles replied.
"That's great. We'll meet at Tails' workshop." Amy said cheerfully. 
"Okay,  see you." Knuckles replied.
"Bye." Amy said and hung up.

End of the conversation

"Knuckles will be here in a few minutes." Amy said as she went back into the living room. "Great then I also have time to eat something." Sonic said and was about to go into the kitchen. "I'll  make me something to eat too." Silver said and followed Sonic. "Wait a sec. Take Shadow with you, before you two burn the kitchen down again." Blaze said and Cream began to giggle. "We didn't burn the kitchen. The pancake was the only thing that burned." Sonic replied and Silver nodded. "Just take Mr. Shadow with you." Cream said, stopping the others from complaining. "Fine." Sonic, Shadow and Silver said at the same time. 

Sonic went behind Shadow and noticed the box Shadow was still holding in his hands. "Hey Shadow. What's in the box?" Sonic asked and was about to take it out of Shadow's hand. Shadow quickly shoved Sonic's hand away and hide the box behind his back. "That's none of your business." Shadow said angry and Silver stopped and looked back at his two friends. "Is it something for your girlfriend." Sonic asked while trying to reach the box again. "I have no girlfriend. Now leave me alone." Shadow said and Sonic finally gave in, at least it looked like he did. "I'll find out what's in there." Sonic thought and followed Silver and Shadow into the kitchen.
