Optimus looked out at everyone congratulating and swarming Bee, and even managed to bear witness to the once-a-year interaction between Smokescreen and (Y/n). Optimus had no opinion on the two as a couple, as much as Rayne had asked him. Rayne had asked him things like did he think they were a match? Would (Y/n) be happy with him? Would Smokescreen treat her fairly despite her old status? Two of those answers had been a no.

Optimus opened his intake to speak. "I am sorry to interrupt your celebration."

      "Here it comes..." Arcee sighed.

      "Primes never party." Bulkhead spoke.

"But I must take my leave of you." Optimus spoke vaguely.

"What? Why?" Rayne asked, stepping forward.

"Though Cybertron is once more capable of sustaining life, our planet I have found, currently cannot produce life as it stands." Optimus explained himself to his sparkmate. "Not until I retrieve the well spring, from which almost half of all life on Cybertron is born, and ultimately returns."

      "You mean...it isn't here?" (Y/n) asked.

"Nor has it been, (Y/n). Not for thousands of years." Optimus got a faraway look in his optic. "As the war for Cybertron reached a tipping point, and the Decepticon army appeared to be unstoppable, I opted to safeguard the allspark from Megatron by covertly sending it to a distant sector of the galaxy. The matrix of leadership will enable me to find its current location."

Everyone took a moment to think. "I'll go with you."

      Everyone turned to Rayne.

"No, you must remain here with Opal. She needs at least one parent with her." Optimus spoke.

"How long will you be going away?" Opal asked.

"Not for very long, my sparkling." Optimus softened at her question.

Optimus Prime always had a soft spot for his girls, Rayne and Opal. There was no denying it. But he would gladly tarnish his Prime reputation for his family. Opal seemed to be satisfied with her father's answer, as she didn't try to intervene anymore.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's take the warship and bring it back!" Bee spoke.

"These remain dangerous times, Bumblebee. We cannot leave Cybertron unsecured. Not with Starscream and Shockwave still unaccounted for, after all these years." Optimus spoke gravelly.

"You really think they'd still try to come for Cybertron?" (Y/n) crossed her arms. "Though...I guess they wouldn't stand a chance if most of us remained here."

"Where will the children go?" Ultra Magnus asked.

"There is no definite threat to Cybertron. Knockout and the Vehicons still loyal to the cause have been imprisoned, Soundwave is in the shadow zone, and Megatron is dead. As far as we are concerned, the children will be safe." (Y/n) reasoned.

"Not true. There very well could be some Decepticons lurking around, fugitives simply waiting to strike." Optimus spoke. "Ultra Magnus, while I am away you shall oversee the patrolling for fugitive Decepticons."

"I would be honored." Ultra Magnus smiled.

"Bulkhead, you will lead the reconstruction effort. Begin by building more landings welcoming more returning refugees, as our others have been taken up in recent years. Wheeljack, I will require your extensive experience navigating deep space." Optimus gave out orders, and (Y/n) felt like she was about to leave on a mission.

"When do we leave?" Wheeljack smiled.

(Y/n) saw the crowd begin to disperse. Bishop and Opal excitedly talked about something or other. But a deep pain resounded through (Y/n)'s chest and stomach. She had a bad feeling. This wasn't going to be a quick grab - something was going to happen.

Megatron was flying through space, something he thought he would never be capable of doing at such speeds. He was heading for Cybertron, where he was hoping to confront his sparkmate.

"Super luminal space drive. Impressive." He spoke to Unicron.

"One of the many upgrades I gave your limited corporeal form. And wholly necessary to reach Cybertron." Unicron responded.

"So...we are to rule together? As one?" He was gonna have to share (Y/n) with this guy? He didn't like the sound of that.

Unicron however, didn't like that. Megatron screamed out in agony as he was shocked by Unicron. He fell to his knee plates in pain.

"You will rule nothing!" Unicron growled. "I travel to Cybertron for one reason only - to destroy Primus personally."

"But...to destroy Primus, is to destroy Cybertron!" Megatron protested.

"Thus will begin a new age - the age of chaos." Unicron spoke.

Megatron hated how that sounded, though normally he would have been indifferent to it - no, probably encouraged it. But Unicron has taken over his form, given him upgrades, and was now going to destroy the planet that meant everything to him...and then (Y/n)'s face popped into his mind.

(Y/n)...how could he let Unicron destroy her? The love of his life? The one who betrayed him, yet shed tears as she did so? The Autobots must have gotten to her, he was sure of it. Was she well taken care of? Was Bishop? How long had passed? Surely it hadn't even been a year since the battle, right?

      ...Right?

(Y/n) was sipping some (tea/coffee/juice) she managed to take from Earth on her last visit. She thought about the day and her life now. It was so filled with peace and love. She thought about how her parents betrayed her, how Megatron betrayed her, and the years worth of agony and pain she went through. But now she secured a future for Bishop where he can choose his own path. It took a long time, but she got there.

But, as she looked up at the Nemesis, she couldn't help but feel a deep ache in her chest. Megatron wasn't here to witness Bishop growing up. He had missed countless milestones and days. And Bishop grew up without a father. Sure, Predaking was there to guide him and show him the manliest of things, but it's not the same as a father.

Sighing to herself, she looked away from the window and down at her floor. Bishop was over at Rayne's house at the moment, playing with Opal. They weren't the only two young ones on the planet, but they were closer than anyone else. (Y/n) continued to ponder to herself, sitting in her comfortable recliner, while Predaking watched from the doorway, wondering if his mother was going mad.
