For the sake of this fanfic, I am introducing my interpretations of the MLP universe. I hope you enjoy it.

"The Psychic Unicorns"

Also known as Lunacorns as a laymen's term. These unicorns were blessed by the alicorn goddess, Princess Luna, with psychological and empathetic magic. Unlike their distant cousins, the bat ponies, they were accepted into the society of the daylight species. These ponies are extremely tall and have long ears, with lots of fluff around their chest, tails, and ankles. They have longer tails and taller horns than daylight unicorns and prefer to be active at night rather than in the daytime.

These unicorns are also, unironically, more likely to become alicorns with such notable examples as Twilight Sparkle and Luster Dawn. Psychic unicorns tend to be swarmed by others due to their mystical powers along with their usual powers. These powers include the following,

Prophetic Unicorns are the kind who can see the future of the ponies around them and are bound by magic not to say a word of it unless given permission. Their abilities are the most strong when they are touching the subject of their visions. And the only way they are able to speak of these visions is if they are given permission to do so. These powers are the most common among the Lunacorns. Their common ratio is 5:10, for every five Prophetic Unicorns, there are 10 who do not have this ability.

Empathetic Unicorns are blessed with the ability to read the emotions of those around them, an ability that needs to be tamed and controlled. They can read into a pony and see their previous traumas and current emotions and are task themselves with helping assist through these traumas. They can be severely mentally affected by the emotions of others around them and sometimes can reflect these emotions without their own control. Their common ratio is 3:10 among average Lunacorns.

Channeling Unicorns are able to communicate with plants or the dead, never bother. When referring to plants, they can hear the plants as if they were a smaller thought in the back of their mind, to find what it wants or need, and can gain information about the goings on around them. For the ladder who can speak, see and hear the dead, they are bombarded with spirits that cannot move on. They can also predict the deaths of ponies around them, not always accurately, but the timing is usually correct. Their common ratio is 1:10 among average lunacorns.

It is very rare for a Lunacorn to have any mix of these powers or have all three, the ration would be 1:200.

The horns of these unicorns are special, the only thing that gives these lunacorns their powers, If a horn is broken the lunacorn is unable to use their gifted powers at all.

Lunar Pegasi

Also known as "Bat Ponies" among locals are blessed by the goddess Luna alongside their cousins the Lunacorns. These are the chosen ponies of their goddess. They are strong build than their daylight cousins with duller colors, bat-like wings, and lots of fluff around their chest, hooves, and tails. They have fantastic hearing, opposable claws, and night vision. They are fairly common in Equestria but nearly went extinct after the banishment of Nightmare Moon. Due to this, they tend to be active at night.

There are two different classes of Bat Ponies, known as the Fruitbat Ponies and the Vampire bat Ponies. Fruitbat ponies have rounder teeth and a vegetarian diet. The Vampire Bat ponies have sharper teeth and a set of long front fangs and give in to an omnivorous diet, catching smaller animals to eat. All baby bat ponies start with soft round teeth that they lose before growing into their adult fangs.

Sunlight Pegasi

Known as the Bird Pegasi or the Original Pegasi are Celestia's chosen pony. They are fast fliers due to their light and small bodies along with their massive wings. They are able to control the weather and well as create storms, lightning, and rainbows with their speed, notable examples are Rainbow Dash, Lightning Dust, and Spitfire. These pegasi have cloven hoovers, and massive feather wings, are thin and agile and have thinner ears and brighter colors than their bat-like cousins.

These pegasi have two different wing types, bigger wings built for long flights, and hard work, and made stronger. Then there are the smaller wings that are built for speed and sprint flights, they are quick and able to turn on a dime. They have flat teeth and rarely eat, and when they do they eat enough to last for days.

Corporeal Unicorns

These unicorns are also known as the Average unicorn or Daylight Unicorns. They were blessed by the goddess Celestia and are the most common species of unicorn. They are healers of the body and can heal almost any wound depending on the abilities to come. These unicorns are built like EArth ponies, with strong legs and bodies, and less fluff than their Lunacorn counterparts. Their tails are mostly hair, and they have shorter ears, with cloven hooves.

And much like their cousins, if their horns are broken, they can no longer use their powers.

Healer Unicorns can heal any physical wounds. They are powerful magic wielders and these abilities are the kind to be strong with powerful blasts of magic that are hard to control and complex to master. Their ratio is 5:10, for every five born with this power there are ten without.

Magical healers are able to heal any wound caused by magic. It is an art that has to be perfected and when tailored it can be extremely powerful. These unicorns are also able to sense sickness and can heal ponies of any species as well as creatures of other species from magical wounds.

Absorption Unicorns are the rarest of the three powers. These unicorns can absorb the sickness and transfer wounds to their own bodies. This power, however, is the most dangerous and hardest to use. It is a natural talent with little to no control, meaning that unicorns with this power will take sickness that they cannot sense or know of to their own bodies, often dying from the sicknesses. The ratio of these unicorns is 1:1oo among average unicorns.

Natural Born Alicorns

Natural Born Alicorns are ponies usually born with some even mix of all three pony races in their blood. They are not like the royal alicorns that can raise the sun or the moon, but rather they can have the abilities of the parent species that have. Depending on their breeding depends on how they appear. If a Lunacorn and a Bat Pony were to produce a Natural Born Alicorn, the child would take on the traits of their parents.

Natural Born Alicorns can also have a mix bag of magical traits from their parents, such as Lunacorn or Corporial Unicorn powers. Or Bat Pony or Bird Pegasi wing traits as well.

These ponies are very rare, only one in every thousand pairs of unicorn and pegasi can produce a Natural Born Alicorn.
