From the Diary of Nova Blight
Dear Diary,
It has been 13 weeks since Starry left, and I don't think I've missed anyone as much as I've missed her. Father and Mother have not spoken about her in recent weeks and neither have I, at least not to them, Natula and I, however, tend to speculate when my parents make their way to the palace.
It's nice to have someone who misses Starry as much as I do.
However, whenever I go to school, stupid fools with no sense in their brains whisper about my sister behind my back. My sister and Hoverstep's disappearance in her last year of school caused a lot of drama in the younger years. Magnolia Days stepped on my tail yesterday and said, and I quote, "Looks like your whore of a sister got what she deserved, it's not every day the best in class gets shipped off to have an illegitimate child."
On another note, I am suspended from school for two weeks. (Father was furious).
But I couldn't just let that dastardly Magnolia talk about my sister like that, I did in fact buck her so hard that her nose broke and a couple of students had to keep us from gouging each other's eyes out. Flam Harbor happened to be one of the students holding me back and was told to take me to the headmaster's office.
And if I am being honest with myself, he is so much kinder than I thought. He make sure that I was alright after the fight and when I told him yes, he asked me if I was sure. And I don't know what compelled me to talk to him, but I ended up bursting into tears and he was more than understanding with me.
I got suspended and to my surprise, after school hours, Flam showed up at my house to take me out for the day. Father almost held me back but Mother came to my rescue, she told Father I'd been having a trying week. Flam took me downtown and we went to a quaint little coffee shop where we talked more about Starry and he told me about his family.
It was a nice change of pace.
Rolling Thunder also visited last week, he and Father talked about the recent end of the Cold War between the Dragon. The war ended two years ago now, and Rolling Thunder left so much angrier than he usually is. When I asked Father about it, he told me to mind what mares do and not what the stallions do, so I broke into his office.
Now usually, I wouldn't do something as sneaky as that, but Rolling Thunder, leaving as angrily as he did made me wonder. I went through some of Father's papers, and what I found was interesting to say the least. Father never keeps battle plans at home.
I managed to sneak out with the plans and store them in some of my school books, Father is getting suspicious of my question, but I plan to read them as soon as possible. I've heard the conspiracy theories, and hopefully, I can put an end to my wondering.
