and as cheesy as that sounds both you and me

know it's true.

often i catch myself zoning out and thinking about

the past and oh how wonderful the past is.

it brings comfort to me when i see you the boy you

used to be. rocking a different color mohawk

with piercings all over your body and of course

that infamous ink that was starting.

ah yes this phil brooks was what true beauty was.

not that im saying this phil brooks isn't beautiful

no just that the kid that used to be exploding with

energy and a goofy smile, is what home is to me.

you don't understand how much i miss you.

why did you have to leave? don't get me wrong,

im happy that you're much happier now but

why did you have to leave me?

i guess my love was simply not enough to make you

stay. huh stay that's a funny word. throughout

everything we've been though, you always said you

would stay no matter what. what changed?

but i understand. honestly i do.

but just know i'll be here when you're music hits.
