~In The Dark Of Night~
She waited for twilight to fall. She needed to go under the cover of darkness, so she wouldn't be seen. She was going to see him. She needed to see him, for he was the key to everything. He held her entire life in his hands. She got ready to sneak out as darkness hit. She left the house and started towards the hidden pond. She looked for him but didn't see him when she got there. She stood against a tree to wait. She saw a shadow move, and saw his form standing there. "You lack the skills needed for this, you couldn't even see me in the dark." He hissed.
"I'm sorry, please don't hurt me." She whispered in reply. He grabbed her chin and held her face in a firm grip, forcing her to look at him. "You are not permitted to speak unless I indicate otherwise!" He whispered in a voice filled with barely controlled anger. He let her go shoving her towards the water. "Now listen for this is what you must do. There is a dragon and her trainer. The dragon is named Black Bride and is darker then a moonless night, when she enters a room the very light seems to fade. The trainer is named Andy Thomassson and he has gold armor that shines like the sun. He only wears that for special occasions though. He normally doesn't wear armor because he doesn't need it. He's a good fighter without it. (That's right! Andy's BA! XD) Andy recently gained the attention of House Dragonfly. They want him to wed their oldest daughter. You should know that House Dragonfly is the most powerful house in these lands. The fact that they want him to marry their daughter is no small thing. Now that I've described them I'm sure you know who I'm talking about, the dragon has an egg. This egg is what I want. Andy and Black Bride go for a flight every night at 3:00 am. It's midnight now. You have three hours to figure out how you're going to get that egg. If you fail me your child dies." She nodded. "Good, now there are guards outside the room with the dragon egg." He said as he pulled out a map of the castle. "This is the room it will be in." He pointed to a spot on the map. "There is a tunnel, that is your way in. If you're not stupid you should be able to get in and out this way without being captured. Do you think you can handle this?" He asked in a condescending tone. "Yes, I will get the egg. Then you'll give my baby back?" She pleaded. He nodded in answer.
The tunnel was long and it took her two and a half hours just to get to the room. She saw the egg and picked it up. She felt the baby dragon moving inside. "This is someone's baby." She thought. "I'm taking someone's child just like he took mine. The mother dragon will be devastated." (A/N my dragons are smarter then humans and they have feelings.) "Her trainer will share her pain. I don't know if I can do this. But it's for my child. I need my baby back. But does that give me any right to do this?" As she was thinking she suddenly heard something, she looked up and saw a huge black dragon with a angry looking man beside it. The man has a black tunic on, but the sleeves are ripped off. His arms have several tattoos, more then she'd ever seen on a person. (A/N Tattoos are far less common in my story. Because they are extremely painful and you run a vary big risk of infection. They are often deadly due to infection.) He was wearing black fingerless gloves to protect his hands from the dragon scales. He had shoulder length pitch black hair. His eyes are icy blue and so cold that a chill ran down her back. He drew a black sword that matched his dragon perfectly. His deep voice filled with unbridled rage and dripping with enough arrogance to make someone believe he owned the entire world rang forth "I will give you one chance to tell me why you are here and holding that egg!" She started to cry and said "I'm sorry, a man kidnapped my child, he told me I have to take the egg to get her back." Andy moved closer, his tall frame towering over her. "How do I know you speak the truth?" He growled. "I swear to you, that is the truth." She sobbed "I swear it on my family's honor!" She pleaded. "How am I to know you or your family even have any honor?" He asked. "I will cast a truth spell. If you are lying you will die immediately." He told her. He then cast the spell and questioned her. Once she's answered all his questions he walked over to his dragon and they seemed to communicate. He looked back at her and said. "We will help you get your child back. Climb on." He then mounted his dragon. "I'm getting on your dragon?" She asked with fear in her voice. "You have nothing to fear from her. She will not harm you, nor will she let you fall." He said in a calm tone. She nodded and walked slowly over. She climbed on with his help. "Ready?" He asked once she was sitting in front of him. She nodded, too nervous to speak. Black Bride spread her wings and lifted them up into the air until her wing tips touched. Then she brought them back down to the floor. She started running for the window, flapping her wings hard. She jumped into the air and they were flying. It felt just like cantering on a horse the mother thought to herself. She closed her eyes and tried to tell herself that's what she was doing. She opened them for a second and saw the ground far below. She quickly closed them again. They landed by the pond (A/N that was one of the things Andy asked about when he used the truth spell) but the kidnapper wasn't there. Where is he? Andy asked. "He might not be here yet. We should wait." She replied worriedly. Andy nodded and turned to Black Bride. "You should wait someplace he won't see you." Andy told his dragon. (A/N why the heck does Andy get a dragon, but I can't have one? XD dang it Andy!) Black Bride took off into the air. About an hour passed and the kidnapper came walking up. He had a small child walking with him. Andy walked up to the kidnapper, holding his black sword. "You planed to steal my most precious possession? You thought you could take it from me and my Bride?" Andy said. He then started laughing coldly as he raised his sword and chopped off the kidnappers head. The child ran to her mother as soon as she was free from the kidnappers now limp hand. They hugged each other crying. "Oh my sweet baby. I'm so glad to have you back. Thank you Andy." She looked up, but Andy was gone. "Andy?" There is no answer. He left without a word. The mother went back to hugging her child, happy to be reunited. ~The End~
