Today is a public holiday and I'm at home right now.

Updates? Some homework I can't understand, a roughed-up thumb from yesterday's bowling training, and the irritation of writing and the loss of any inspiration whatsoever.

Baaaasically, I've been writing a YOI (if you guys do watch it, whoo) one-shot about Yuuri's life and all that, and my aim is to hit 20000 words. I predicted it to take about a month to complete, but boy, was I wrong!

A month and a half later, all I have now is 3761 words, with the line I left off being: '"I think so," Phichit hisses back.' This is what happens when you try to write a long fic with an unrealistic goal, guys, and even though I once pulled off a 5000 word fic in a single weekend (see Feeling for a Direction), that was because I was free and also a bit too pumped. Now, I just feel deflated. Like all the inspiration's been pulled out of me.

Anyway, enough of this stuff. I watched RWBY in February and let me tell you, it's been a hell of a ride. To those who don't watch it, watch it. Just, you know, click on Rooster Teeth's Youtube page, scroll to RWBY, and watch. Prepare some popcorn or snacks, and a box of tissues if you're inching nearer to Volume 3.

This show is cast in the world of Remnant and is 3D-animated. The animation isn't the best for the first two volumes (lots of clipping, background doesn't really blend well, characters look like they're nearly floating off the ground if they're shown in full-body - but all these aren't very obvious), but the story is wonderful. It's still ongoing, with the story leaving off at Volume 4 and a second season of RWBY Chibi coming on 13 May.

There is a whole lot of fighting, and the action is really nice. Real smooth. I'm not going to spoil anything, but do take note that the story takes a dark turn in Volume 3, so be careful. Volume 4 is, to be honest, my favourite volume so far, and it's really mature (save for the first chapter when Jaune takes off his armour and shows his hoodie and Ruby, being the savage she is, laughs for minutes of the episode). 

Now, spoilers ahead. Come on, fellow people who watch RWBY, let's cry together.

PYRRHA NO. I told a classmate of mine I was watching RWBY (at the stage of Vol 2) and she gave me a little spoiler - or, rather, the person who recommended it to me did, because he thought I'd never watch it (so he conveniently sneaked some spoilers to me) (but then I forgot) (sorry) and then I heard someone was going to die in Vol 3. I was really attached to Pyrrha back then, so I thought, eh, that's tragic, but Pyrrha's strong, so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Then Penny came along and got killed by her, and I thought, this isn't too bad.

Then Cinder came along and dragged Pyrrha out.

Bam.

I have a new favourite character now. Ren is cool. I like him. Renora is my current favourite ship now.

It's still sad to see the gap between RNJR in the opening of the volume, though. Like they're still expecting Pyrrha to pop up and take up that space.
