Muamba POV
Today is Friday.
This was fantastic because it meant the weekend was close. I had finalised which village I wanted to go to for my month. I now just had to train and well, study everything about the place. But I was only going to start after the weekend.
I decided to go with Michael back to his parents place for the weekend. I hadn't seen Aunt Davina in such a long time. Also, this meant I would be able to party. I couldn't do such a thing here because my dad always frowned upon such behaviour. I had a reputation to uphold as next in line so, whenever I wanted to party, I would go to Michael's place for the weekend.
This week had been pretty good actually. I had finally managed to get the girl out of my head. I knew there was no way in hell, I had liked this woman. I also am pretty sure that she hates me. And I kind of feel bad about making her do all the dishes alone yesterday. She didn't even come take the kids at 5pm like she normally does. But there was no way in hell I would apologise to a servant. But I could stop giving her all these extra tasks. Besides, I don't need Aunt Martha questioning me.
Aunt Martha was like a second mother to me. She and my mother were extremely close. I remember my mother used to tell me stories of how she would sneak out of the palace and visit Aunt Martha. I really miss my mother she was my spirit animal. She would take me on walks in the town as she believed that we were to rule not out of fear, but respect. She respected everyone. She would probably scold me and make me apologise to Kapinga for treating her so bad this past week. But dad found out about our trips and ended all my relations with my own mother. And now she was dead.
I was walking towards my father's office when I heard giggling. A part of me said to ignore it and go to my dad. I needed him to agree with the village I chose so, that I can then start my preparations and also tell him about my weekend plans. Well, he didn't need to know exactly what my plans were. He just needed to know where I was going to be. I was about to knock when I recognised the giggling voice.
My curiosity peaked so I walked two doors down and luckily the door was opened. Michael and Kapinga were so engrossed in their conversation to even notice me coming. She was laughing at whatever Michael said. Michael was indeed a handsome fella, but I was better looking. I was a tad taller and woman love tall men. Not to mention, I worked out more than Michael, so I was more built than him.
Michael did have the better eye colour- Ocean blue. That often gave him the upper hand compared to my dull grey eyes that apparently were always sad. I don't know how eyes were sad, but mine are apparently. Michael was also more humble than me and that did get him points. But in all honestly women prefer men who are arrogant, know exactly what they want and take it.
Kapinga was laughing without a care in the world at Michael and damn she was a sight for sore eyes. Everything about her was angelical. I got annoyed when she placed her hand on Michael's bicep. I mean come on, Michael was definitely not that funny. I immediately turned around and left. I need to release this anger somehow. But unfortunately, luck wasn't on my side.
I nearly got to the turn when my dad called out to me, "Son? Wait up, I'm also headed to breakfast.'' I turned around and waited for my dad to catch up. I was not planning on going to breakfast, but I needed a distraction so, I might as well. "Have you decided on a village yet?" he asked once he caught up. So, we spoke about that as we headed to breakfast.
After the conversation with my dad, I was somewhat calmer. I didn't even realise that I was actually hungry. But the custom was that everyone had to be present at the dining table before we could eat. The servants were probably gathering everyone else. I honestly didn't have the energy in me to wait so, I started packing my plate immediately.
"Son you will remember your eating etiquette," dad said. It was annoying that we had to wait. When I became king, I was definitely changing this damn rule. I, a king would wait on no man. Then Amina and Michael finally entered hand-in-hand. He wore the greatest smile ever actually. Well, considering what he was up to, of course he was happy. I had totally forgotten about his plans to bed Kapinga. And with the way they were cosy just now, I was certain he had bed her already.
Most people think that I am a playboy and I guess it's not a lie. I have had my fair share of women. But at least I am upfront about it. Michael was sweet. He would listen and sympathise and then once he got what he wanted, he would toss the woman to the side too. So, I was definitely better. I never gave the woman false hope. However, it didn't stop woman from thinking that they would somehow possess a magic vagina that would captivate me and result in them becoming my queen.
My father said grace once we were all seated and I immediately dug in. "Well you sure are hungry brother," Michael said with a tone of humour. When I looked up at him, his eyes held some form of mischievous glint. It felt like he was hinting at something, but I had not a clue as to why exactly. "Well I had quite a busy morning unlike you who prefers to sleep in cousin." I responded rather coldly. After that my dad started talking about being a good king and I stayed quiet and just listened throughout.
