New Years Tag
I was tagged by Stringslady to answer the following questions (this is gonna be fun!):
Btw, this is for 2016, although that's kinda obvious but whatevs.
1- How would you describe this past year in one sentence?
A truly life changing year that has brought me closer to God, introduced me to new friends, and has made me a much more joyful person.
2- How has your writing improved over the year? Or has it stayed the same?
I definitely see an improvement in my writing. The only actual book I've been writing is A Well Needed Journey, and going back and editing last chapters, I can tell that my writing has improved so much. I still have plenty of room to improve, but at least I'm getting better.
3- How many books have you started this year? And what are they?
I've started writing five books;
-A Well Needed Journey (A Hobbit fanfic in the process of editing)
-where u at? (Texting style)
-Inspiration (A compilation of Biblical verses and quotes, none of which were written by me)
-Into The Darkness (A book I started early this year but abandoned. I didn't put a whole lot of thought into it before I began writing, and it's kinda an overused idea. I still have what I've written saved, so maybe someday I'll go back to it.)
-An untitled book that I barely started. I'm in the process of character development, although I'm not in any hurry to get it done. I am trying to work on it a little each day.
4- How many books have you completed this year? What are they?
I have only completed one book written by myself, and that is where u at?. I finished it in 2016 but I'm still posting.
5- How many books are currently in your library?
Sixteen in my library, eleven in my archived.
6- Any major reading or writing benchmarks this heat? If so, what are they?
Im not totally sure what that means, but I've seen people list the books they've read/wrote. I actually made a list of the books I read in 2016.

-In His Steps by Charles Sheldon
-The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness
-Chaos Walking (The Knife of Never Letting Go, The Ask and The Answer, Monsters of Men) by Patrick Ness (again)
-The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren
-The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien (again)
-The Children of Húrin by J.R.R. Tolkien
-Escape from the Island of Aquarius by Frank E. Peretti
-Waking the Dead by John Eldredge (A very good book. I highly recommend it).
-The Janus Reprisal by Jamie Freveletti
-To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
-Raven's Gate by Anthony Horowitz (It's the first book in the Power of the Five series. I read most of the second one but I didn't finish it. I highly recommend this series)

7- What is/are your favorite fiction book(s) you read this year?
-The Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness
-Raven's Gate and Evil Star by Anthony Horowitz (I still have three more from the series to reread)
-Log Off by Stringslady
8- What is a film from this year that has inspired you writing wise?
It wasn't released this year, but The Hobbit trilogy inspired me to write a fanfic.
9- What are some authors that have influenced your writing this year? (Wattpad or real)
PATRICK NESS! (Read his books)
10- What is your favorite chapter, paragraph or excerpt that you have written this year?
I guess my favorite would be chapter thirty in where u at?. I'm not gonna go searching through my Hobbit fanfic to find one.
11- Any new plot ideas or projects we should look forward to seeing next year?
I plan to finish A Well Needed Journey, and may possibly start a Lord of the Rings book to accompany that one. I've kinda started working on a story of my own, but I'm gonna keep it secret for now.
12- What are you hoping to improve on next year for writing?
Definitely making my books seem more real. First person writing can be tricky, cause I, always wanting to describe what I see as an author, and not what the character sees/hears/feels. I want to improve on writing in a way that makes you feel like your in that character's head.
13- Who is your favorite character you created last year?
Well, I only have three options. I'm gonna have to say Hayden. I know there's not much about him in the book, but in my mind he's pretty cool.
I really hope this goes around next year! If not I'll have to do it myself! Hopefully I'll have more things written, but it gets kinda difficult with school and work. Thank you for reading! I'm lame and I tag all my followers (if you haven't already done it).
