It is a whirlwind inside me
It is a part of who I'm meant to be
It is...chaos

My brain and my heart keep a fight to the death
Not knowing
That the battle for dominance leads to both their downfalls

My mind is trying to strongly shun insanity
And pathetically losing
Succumbing to failure

The subtlety of my eyes is wrangling the silence of my lips
Each obstinately refusing
To be the teller of truth

My happiness and sadness are violently clashing
Creating an emotional thunderstorm
In my ambiguous feelings

My fingers are itching
Being seduced
Into grasping my forbidden addictions

The butterflies in my stomach are really parasitic, destructive wasps
Whose anger and persistence turn into my pain
As they brutally, selfishly try to escape their enclosure

The blood in my veins is struggling to stay warm
Narrowly avoiding
The terrifyingly imminently harsh, slithering glacier

I am a walking debacle
But it is not just about what is inside me
It is what I am, who I am
I am...chaos
