"Huening-ah please, get your corn dog faster!"

It had been almost an hour since Beomgyu's performance and the wait for the second round was dreadful. It was nearly 1:30 am and it seems that the competition made everyone restless, wanting to know who the final winners were.

And Huening Kai decided that he was so hungry and bored he dragged Taehyun along with him to go get one of the festival corn dogs. Which made Taehyun absolutely pissed because there might be a chance he may miss the announcement of Beomgyu's group coming up and the show!

"I know you want to see your lover boy right now, but the other hyungs wanted a corn dog too and they're freshly made so wait!" Kai said while rolling his eyes. Taehyun's face instantly flushed red as he smacked Kai. "H-He's not my lover boy!"

"Oh please Taehyun, everyone saw how intensely you were staring at Beomgyu hyung. I swear when he was singing that bridge part and the last sentence of that amazing song he was staring straight at you!" Kai said making Taehyun go even redder. He had to admit though, that hearing Beomgyu sing was the best thing ever and he really wished the elder gave himself more lines.

Taehyun felt his phone buzz and he quickly fished it out seeing a message from Soobin, his eyes widened with panic as he aggressively tapped Kai who was paying for the corn dogs. "Huening! Huening Kai, they just announced that Ito Academy will perform in ten minutes come on!"

Kai looked at Taehyun with a confused judgmental expression. "I just got these! We'll be fine if we walk don't worry your pretty face off Tyun!" Kai said and patted Taehyun's hair. Yet that didn't calm him down one bit.

"You- Agh! Kai!" Taehyun groaned out in frustration. Just the thought of missing the show made Taehyun flame up with anger, then suddenly Taehyun paused as he realized what he was doing. His mouth dropped open as he gripped his hair. "Oh my god, I'm going insane?!"

Did he seriously just get upset over missing Beomgyu's show? If anything he should've gotten up and walked off not giving two shits about what the hell the elder did but here he was as his heart was near explosion yearning to see Beomgyu perform again.

"Why are you in such a rush? It's a big crowd out there, don't you hate crowded areas?"

Taehyun nibbled on his lip thinking for a second, that he hated walking through the big crowd just to get to his seat. The way out was horrifying after getting pushed around, yet for some reason, once he saw the elder on stage it was like everyone was a whole blur. As if Beomgyu was right in front of him telling Taehyun that he's okay.

"I-I just want to get this stupid competition over with, I'm tired and Soobin hyung is my only way home," Taehyun mumbled hissing in some hair to calm his nerves down. Kai just blankly stared at Taehyun and shook his head deciding whatever the latter said made sense.

Sheesh Beomgyu hyung, how the hell did you manage to like this bozo for over eight years? Kai thought to himself and rolled his eyes.

The walk back to Soobin and Yeonjun wasn't smooth at all. Taehyun bumped into multiple people cheering on the current act and Huening Kai had almost lost his precious corn dogs yet somehow the two boys managed to find their way back to Soobin and Yeonjun.

"Hyung! Are we late? Did they already perform? Why is there nobody on the stage?!" Taehyun quickly ran over to the blue-haired and shook the elder's shoulder in a panic. Soobin stared at Taehyun in shock before a small sly smile plastered on his face.

"You actually believed me?"

Taehyun slowly took his hand away from Soobin's shoulder and stared at the male feeling dumbfounded. He watched Soobin giggle with a menacing smile as Yeonjun just awkwardly stared at the two after receiving a corn dog from Kai.

"Taehyun-ah! Were you that scared?" Soobin said laughing his lungs out that his face was turning slowly red. "I-I was joking! Beomgyu doesn't even perform until twenty minutes from now!" He said and wiped a tear off his eyes from how amused he was.

Taehyun stepped back and looked down feeling a little embarrassed, he puffed out his cheeks and quickly walked away from the other three boys needing space from them all. He felt embarrassed, he knew Soobin was playful but he was so angry at how loud he was while laughing!

"T-Twenty minutes from now- Well in those twenty minutes y-you can choke on a rock!" Taehyun huffed out finally reaching a secluded area near the lake. Picking up a rock he tossed it hard at the lake, hearing the small sounds of it hitting the water before it plopped down.

Taehyun couldn't help but pout as he sat down on the grass staring off into the sky.

"Darling!~"

Taehyun's head instantly shot up as he quickly looked around, his heart paced up while his eyes roamed around the area trying to find where that voice came from. Looking to the side he saw a figure running towards him.

"Hyung?" Taehyun said softly, his eyes brightening slightly.

Yet that sudden feeling shattered seeing it was just a random dude running up to his girlfriend who was sitting not too far away from Taehyun. The redhead looked away and bit his lip, why does it suddenly feel like his hopes were shattered?

It's only been three hours since he's seen Beomgyu and just a silly little nickname caught his attention. Picking at his nails he bit the inside of his cheek, he felt disappointed — no wait, angry...scratch that, Taehyun didn't know what he felt.

Do I miss him?

Hell no! You saw him earlier!

You're just angry, Beomgyu hyung has been calling you that idiotic nickname for years now!

But I'm so disappointed it wasn't him...

"Ahhh! My god!" Taehyun shouted and grabbed his head from the continuous overflowing thoughts. Yet he felt that odd tug in his body that just yearned for the elder. Those soft eyes stared down at him as the most kindest words spilled from his mouth.

Taehyun couldn't help but...miss Beomgyu.

Feeling a buzz in his pocket he quickly took it out hoping it was messages from a specific ravenette but to his disappointment, it was just Soobin continuously apologizing and asking for the male to come back.

Although Soobin was a total pain in the ass, Taehyun was forever grateful towards the elder, and who was he to stay mad forever? Sure he's gonna probably suffocate the male in his sleep tonight but that's okay!

Taehyun got up from the ground groaning softly from the pain in his legs, patting his pants down making sure there weren't any grass stains or anything else he turned around quickly and ran back to the stage.

Beomgyu hyung, perform well.

"Right now is your moment Beomgyu."

The ravenette looked up at his bandmates after adjusting the earpiece making sure it fit well and wasn't so loose. He tilted his head slightly in confusion. "Hm?"

"This song was surely dedicated to Taehyun, right?" Jaehyuk asked munching on some watermelon sour patch kids. Beomgyu took a second to think about it and nodded right away.

"Run to you was also dedicated towards Taehyun, what makes this one special?" Jeongin asked.

"It's Beomgyu's solo song, besides our backup vocals- He put alllllll his love and thought into it right, Beom?" Heeseung said helping adjust Beomgyu's hair after the ravenette messed it all up while putting his earpiece on. "Of course I did,"

"That's why, Choi Beomgyu," Minghao said grabbing the male's hand. "You need to give it your all, sure the first song was an absolute success but now this one- I'm sure it'll help you finally tie the string with Taehyun!"

Beomgyu nodded with a smile. He couldn't wait to sing and showcase to the world how much thought and time he put into this. Well, I shouldn't take all the credit. Without dream Beomgyu I swear I'd still be stuck.

Beomgyu sighed softly, he missed his dreams. He just wants to go home lay down and let himself doze off into his fake reality with blonde Taehyun.

But his real Taehyun was out in the crowd waiting for him.

"Beomgyu we have four minutes til' the show starts," Heeseung said heading over to get his keyboard ready. Beomgyu looked up at them and smiled widely, "Thank you guys for supporting me— Supporting each other."

"Cut that sappy shit for later! You're acting like we've lost the competition. We have one more act left and that's us! We'll end this show leaving everyone shocked!" Jeongin said encouraging Beomgyu even more. The ravenette went over to the latter and embraced him in a tight hug, soon to be followed up by the other three members hugging him.

"Yeah we can graduate school with the title 'Ito Academy's golden boys!'" Jaehyuk said waving his fingers around as he looked up as if a light bulb was over his head giving him great ideas.

"Well then, let's go out and give it our all," Beomgyu said and smiled at everyone.

Their names were finally called out to the stage and the boys quickly gathered their things before walking out, the bright lights blinded Beomgyu for a second but his vision quickly adjusted.

Heading to the middle where his microphone was he looked over towards his idiotic friend's spot, feeling happy that they were still there supporting him. He looked at Taehyun who stared at the elder with some sort of emotions in his eyes.

"Hey, darling."

Beomgyu mouthed over to the male. It seemed like Taehyun quickly understood what he said as the redhead looked away with an annoyed expression. Beomgyu couldn't help but pout slightly before Jiung came out introducing them again.

"Welcome back guys! Right now we are in round two of the Lantern Festival Competition and gosh! For the first round the crowd was excited, how do you feel now?"

"I feel really really happy! We've worked hard for the last month and I'm happy to showcase what we've been doing." Beomgyu said and looked at Jiung with a wide smile. Jiung nodded and looked away quickly, his cheeks tinting a slight pink from the sudden eye contact.

I mean who wouldn't be flustered when the Choi Beomgyu looks at you?

"Well then, we shall start the next round!" Jiung said and waved the audience goodbye before quickly going backstage.

Beomgyu adjusted his mic and smiled in satisfaction once it was at a good enough height. "Okay, I just wanted to dedicate this song to...." Beomgyu said, his eyes slowly trailing down to where Taehyun was at. "Someone special to me."

"Someone who I dreamed about making mine."

Taehyun's breath hitched once Beomgyu said that, his eyes flickered towards Yeonjun who just smiled at him, motioning over to him to continue watching.

Taehyun's eyes furrowed slightly, and that itchy feeling in his mind scrambled his thoughts around before looking up at Beomgyu.

Beomgyu took a soft deep breath and strummed his guitar softly before slowly getting close to the microphone.

Heeseung began playing a dreamy tune on his keyboard echoing out the melodic song as the show finally started.

Beomgyu sang and stared directly at Taehyun with sparkles in his eyes. Once the chorus came on again the male closed his eyes and sang softly with Jaehyuk and Minghao as backup vocals blending their voices together.

Taehyun's throat closed up watching Beomgyu perform, this song felt so much more different than the first one. It was like Beomgyu was calling out to him in the song from the amount of eye contact they've made. It was like his heart was yearning for the elder.

"In my dreams you love me back."

Beomgyu sang the last sentence as the song ended. Looking around, there was total silence in the crowd. Beomgyu's eyes flashed a slight worry as nobody was cheering.

Shit did I mess up-

"BEOMGYU-AHHH!!!" Yeonjun yelled loudly cheering for his best friend, eventually, the crowd began to get louder and louder by the second of the amazing performance. Beomgyu stood there dumbfounded before his emotions exploded with joy.

He was quickly pulled into a huge hug from his band mates who were spewing a bunch of compliments and excitement about how well they did. Beomgyu couldn't help but feel so happy that this song was a success. I really hope Taehyun understood.

"Wow, my gosh! That song was amazing Beomgyu! You really wrote it?" Jiung said after the crowd's cheering died down just a tad. Beomgyu shuffled away from the group hug and nodded.

"Yes, I did."

"What inspired you?"

Beomgyu bit his lip nervously, his eyes flickering back and forth from the crowd and Taehyun. He was nervous about what to say, should he just say that he's been actually having dreams of a life being married to Taehyun and his dream self got scolded for not coming up with a song?

Beomgyu shrugged that feeling off and looked at Jiung, "There's actually this...Someone who inspired me, I've dreamed of making them mine for years and years now."

Taehyun nibbled on his bottom lip watching Beomgyu answer questions, he felt a slight nudge on his side and looked over to see Yeonjun staring at him. "Hyung?"

"What did you feel when Beomgyu was performing?"

"Uh-" Taehyun paused, trying to think of an answer. When Beomgyu started singing it was like the whole world turned dark and the only light was Beomgyu. He couldn't take his eyes off the elder and his ears blocked out any sound that wasn't the ravenette's singing.

Each time they made eye contact throughout the song it made Taehyun's stomach flame up with butterflies. He couldn't help but just think...was that song for him?

"Hyung...Did Beomgyu—"

"After that amazing performance, I think we should wrap up the lantern festivals with amazing competition, don't you think everyone?" Jiung said as the crowd shouted a loud yes. A bunch of other groups began to come on stage from different schools.

"Well then, please give our judges a moment to think about the top three places."

Beomgyu inhaled sharply as his group stood near the end of the stage, right in front of where Taehyun was. He saw the redhead look up at him with realization in his eyes and that made Beomgyu's heart drop.

Does he know? Beomgyu thought to himself seeing Taehyun's expression falter into multiple ones. Confusion, realization, doubt, and anger.

"Alright, guys! The votes are in, let's see..." Jiung said after receiving a notecard showcasing the winners. A wide smile set on his face as silence enveloped the area.

Beomgyu's heart was beating fast. It was a tightrope being against ten different schools. He gave nervous glances toward the others only to receive the same look back.

"Everyone's performance was amazing, truly. But tonight we have three winners," Jiung said and cleared his throat.

"Coming in third place is Mago Highschool!"

A commotion of cheers echoed out in the crowd as the group of girls jumped up excitedly.

"Congratulations girls!" Jiung smiled and looked back at his notecard reading out the rest of the winners. "Second place is Treasure Academy."

The cheering in the crowd got, even more, louder as a group of boys excitedly cheered and hugged each other for the win.

Beomgyu's heart dropped as it came down to first place, the silence was heavy when Jiung flipped through his notecards to see who first place was. Beomgyu flinched slightly feeling a hand wrap around his, looking up he met eyes with Jeongin giving him a reassuring smile.

Taehyun watched all of that going on, his eyes flickered down to Beomgyu's and Jeongin's hands wrapped around each other and he couldn't help but feel, jealous.

He wasn't going to deny it anymore, he wanted to be the one up there next to Beomgyu comforting him. He still doesn't fully know how he felt but the realization he had earlier bloomed feelings that he couldn't help but accept, his heart was sparking with overwhelming emotions whenever he looked at Beomgyu.

"Alright...First place was a tight line," Jiung spoke into the mic looking up at the crowd. "It was almost a tie between two schools, but however. The school winning by one more point..."

Jiung smirked and looked over at Beomgyu's group. "Winning first place, is none other than Ito Academy."

Beomgyu's world went absolutely silent as he was quickly pulled into a tight group hug. The loud cheering from the crowd went silent as everything was in slow motion. Feeling someone wrap an arm around his waist he snapped out and looked at his group members who gave him the brightest smile.

"Beomgyu! You did it- We did it!" Heeseung said proudly pulling all of them closer.

"We wouldn't have won without you Beomgyu-ssi, your talent is amazing!" Minghao said as his eyes twinkled with tears from overwhelming joy.

Beomgyu couldn't get his words out, he felt happiness explode throughout his body like fireworks as he smiled widely accepting the hug. The boys eventually broke the hug as Jiung walked over to them with a beautiful silver trophy. "Thank you for representing Ito Academy, I'm so proud to say I'm a student there." Jiung smiled at them and handed it to Jaehyuk.

Beomgyu looked away from the others and looked at Taehyun who had the widest smile on his face. I've waited long enough.

"B-Beomgyu! Hey! Wait!" Jeongin called out for the elder seeing Beomgyu run off stage to the back.

Taehyun watched the elder quickly leave in shock, did he feel overwhelmed? He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked at Soobin. "Go to him."

"What?"

"Go see him, Taehyun, he needs you." 

Something in Taehyun sparked up more as his heart seemed to agree with it, and without knowing he felt himself run out of the crowd to a random direction behind the stage.

He felt his heart yearn for Beomgyu and it became painful, he ran faster not caring if his thighs burned with pain, he needed to see the elder and figure out why he felt so overwhelmed seeing him.

Eventually, his running slowed down as he panted hard, looking around he was near the lake once again. He needed a break from running as he started walking, he wanted to see Beomgyu but where the fuck was he?!

"Taehyun."

Taehyun quickly turned around and saw the elder standing there with a wide smile. Taehyun's heart finally paced up as he felt the butterflies bloom in his stomach again, slowly walking forward to the elder it felt like each footstep became heavier and heavier.

"Hyung..." Taehyun breathed out finally facing Beomgyu. He felt his heart warm up as if being near the elder was his comfort zone. He felt his cheeks burn slightly as the elder just stared at him with the most loving eyes ever.

"Did you enjoy it?"

"Ye-Yes." Taehyun nodded being honest, he wouldn't lie that hearing the elder perform tonight really made him feel happier. Beomgyu couldn't help but smile even wider and quickly pulled the younger into a tight embrace.

Taehyun's hands stayed on his side feeling Beomgyu nuzzle his head onto the crook of his neck, his face burned up even more as his heart exploded. "Thank you, darling, thank you for coming."

Taehyun bit his lip slightly as he was speechless, usually, he would kill Beomgyu for hugging him but now it felt so right for the elder to embrace him like this.

He doesn't know why he feels like this yet, his emotions were jumbled up. He felt the elder's arms slowly unwrap around him as Beomgyu looked at him. "Shall we go back? I'm sure I'm about to be killed for leaving the stage randomly but I just- I needed to see you."

Taehyun gulped slightly and just nodded. "Then let's go," Beomgyu said and wrapped his hand around Taehyun's pulling the boy towards the stage again.

Taehyun couldn't help but feel warm finally being with Beomgyu, surely he isn't 100% sure about the emotions he felt for Beomgyu but he knew, with just a little bit more time, he would know.

Yet poor Taehyun didn't realize, that he had already started falling for the elder slowly.

As this night, was the night, Beomgyu had finally sparked Taehyun's heart.
