Just then she felt her cheek burning . Unable to control his anger , he had slapped her .

Neil : How could you talk ill about my feelings. And you trust that bastard over me ? And you never tried to know the whole truth . It was not me , it was she throwing herself over me . He went to the party locking the door from outside .

Avni : Neil ! Open the door . You can't lock me here .

She banged the door and yelled but it was of no use . Sighing deeply she switched off the light , threw her duppata aside with all her bangles and sat on the window side .

Tears started brimming in her eyes .

Avni ( mind ): Such a fool I am ! I trusted that abhay . Aur maine janne ki koshish nhi ki bas Neil pe ilzaam laga diya . Vo mere liye sab se ladne ke liye taiyar rehta hai aur maine usi se lad liya vo bhi tab jab uski koi galti hi nhi thi . Par iska matlab ye nahi ki vo mujhe thappad marega . It was midnight when neil opened the door of avni's room . He had realised his blunder and knew that Avni wouldn't spare him and forgive him so easily .

He entered the room , it was all dark .His eyes searched for her and there she was lying on the window slab , glowing in darkness . He lifted her in his arms and carried her to the bed and lied her comfortably . He settled himself beside her and stared at her innocent face .

He wanted to kick himself for slapping her . Red marks had developed on her cheeks due to his tight slap . He caressed them making her stir in sleep . She felt something running on her cheeks .

She immediately opened her eyes to see Neil lying beside her . She was very angry at him . Without paying any heed she turned to the other side with cold eyes .

Neil knew it already that pacifying her would be difficult this time . He embraced her from back and hugged her tight while she didn't protested .

He ran his thumb over her swollen cheeks .

Neil : Don't you trust me Avni ?

He uttered softly , his voice choked with tears .
