Jennifer's POV:

"I think this is the one." I said looking over at Olivia.

"Really? I mean it is nice." She said looking at it again.

"Yea, I don't know it just stands out to me. I think she would like it." I said.

"Excuse me sir." I said looking over at the store clerk.

"Yes ma'am?" he answered.

"Can I have this one." I said and pointed to the one I wanted.

"Of course, right this way." He said and starting walking to the counter.

"How much?" I asked the clerk.

"$267.89." He said.

Olivia gasped and said "Jennifer don't you think that's a little bit too much to spend on this."

"No, it's not, because I love her Liv...a lot." I said and handed the clerk my credit card.

"I just hope she likes it." Olivia said.

"I do too." I responded.

It was Saturday and I had texted Arielle to come over, to which she said she would.

I told her to be here around 7 and, I was nervous to say the least.

I glanced at the clock and saw that it was 6:55, which meant that Arielle would be here soon.

A couple minutes later I heard the doorbell ring, and all of a sudden my hands starting to get really sweaty, which only happened when I got extremely nervous.

I headed over to the door and opened it and to now suprise, Arielle was on the other side.

She had on a tight blue v-neck dress and heels on, making her almost the same height as me. She looked downright gorgeous.

"Where's your jacket?" I asked her, because even though it wasn't extremely cold outside, it wasn't exactly warm either.

"I took a nap and overslept so I had to rush  to get here and forgot it." she said flashing me a sheepish smile.

"Come inside." I said and opened the door fully so that she could come in. "Thanks." she said.

"Let me just  get you and I  jacket and we can head out."

"Where are we going?" She asked.

"Somewhere." I said getting her and I jackets.

I draped my leather jacket over her, which was a little big for her, but it looked cute on her. And put on my jacket.

We headed out to my car and we rode in silence, but it wasn't awkward, but a comfortable one.

Every now and then I would steal glances at Arielle looking out the window, admiring her beauty.

We finally reached our destination and she looked at me confusedly and said "Uhm Jennifer, why are we at a beach?"

"You'll see."  I said getting out of the car. To which she followed suit.

I turned to her and offered my hand out to her, which she took.

I walked her along a path down the beach, that only a few number of people knew.

It took us about 15 minutes to get to where I wanted to take her.

"Jennifer how did you know about this?" Arielle asked.

"Uh my parents took me here before." I said, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Well let's go inside." I said taking out the key and unlocking the door.

Once we stepped inside she gasped. The lights were dimmed and I had candles on the dinning table, where there were 2 glasses of wine and 2 plates with lids over them to keep the food warm. I walked her over to the table and pulled out a chair for her. "Thanks." she said and sat in the chair.

I walked to the other side of the table and sat in the chair. I uncovered both of our plates to reveal salmon, rice, and mashed potatoes, which I remembered she told me was her favorite food combination, weird but it was her favorite.

"You did all this?" She asked, looking at me astonished.

"Yes, because I know that we can't exactly go on dates, unless wherever we go is liked a thousand miles away, so I thought that you deserved this." I said to her.

"Thank you so much Jennifer."  Arielle said.

We had a great time and we learned a lot about each other that we didn't know before like favorite color, favorite animal, etc, all pointless stuff I know, but I could tell that she felt free. She didn't look like she was worried about Mason or his stupid pictures. She looked carefree.

"So Jennifer whose house is this?" She asked.

When she asked my question I cringed.

"It's my parents' ..." I answered, trying to prevent my mind from going to a dark place.

"Oh, how come you never speak about your family?" She asked.

"We don't have the best relationship...," I mumbled. "Can we not speak about them, please?" I asked her. I wasn't trying to be rude, I just knew that if we started talking about anything family related that I would go to a dark place. And I wasn't going to let the thought of them ruin this night.

She nodded and started talking about how she stole her sister's keys. I liked that she didn't push me to say anything about my parents and how she changed the topic, for my sake.

"Hey Arielle are you ready to go? I still have somewhere else I want to take you."

"Yea." she said putting on her jacket.

She was about to open the door, when I stopped her and said "Wait, you have to close your eyes."

"Seriously?" she asked pouting slightly.

"Yes seriously." I said.

"Fine." She groaned and closed her eyes.

I opened the door and grabbed her hand, leading her to the edge of the beach.

"Okay you can open your eyes now." I said to her.

She looked at out the horizon, her eyes shinning as she said "Jennifer this is beautiful."

I had taken her to see the sunset, which my parents had shown me when they took me here, and I knew she would probably like it.

"Yea it is." I said looking at her.

She then turned to me and said "Thank you...for showing me something as beautiful as this."

"No problem." I said and reached into my jacket pocket and took out a little box.

"Jennifer..." Arielle said, probably sensing what I was gonna do.

"Arielle I know you said that you didn't want to define what we have and I'm sorry that I couldn't keep my word. But you make me extremely happy, and it would make me even happier to call you mine." I said and opened up the box.

"So Arielle, will you be my girlfriend?" I asked her.

She just stared at me until I saw a tear fall down from her eye.

"Of course I will Jennifer!" She said and hugged me extremely tight. I hugged her back and we stayed like that for a few minutes until I pulled away and asked"Can I?" She nodded her head and turned around so her back was facing to me. I took the necklace out of the box and moved her hair to the side, and put the necklace on her.

"There." I said and she turned back around.

The necklace I had gotten for her was a heart that had a "A+J" in the middle of it.

I looked at it around her neck and said "It looks better on you than I thought, you like it?" I asked.

"I love it." She said and kissed me on the lips. It turned into a slow little make-out session.

She pulled back and she rested her forehead on mine and we just stared into each other's eyes.   "I also have another gift for you." I said to her and reached into my pocket.

I handed it to her and said "Whenever you want to stop by, you can."

I had given her to key to my apartment.

"Jennifer are you sure?" She asked.

"I don't know because I might take advantage of this for booty calls." She joked, to which I laughed.

We were just staring into each other's eyes and I blurted out "I love you."

Her eyes widened and she was about to speak but I spoke before her and said "It's okay you don't have to say anything. Don't rush yourself, I just felt like I had to say it to you...for me."

She nodded and said "Okay." and we headed back to my car.  I dropped her off at her house and let her keep the jacket saying that it looked cute on her, and headed back to my apartment.

When I finally got inside I collapsed on my bed and immediately went to sleep, satisfied that now I could officially call Arielle mine.
