I just finished my final paper today so am done with exam yeeeeeee

I walk to by dorm “ Elizabeth get your things ready ......your parents are on their way ” miss France said

“ wait I'm leaving today ?” I ask surprised

“ yeah ”

I'm happy but I'm not ready I need to get my things together “ okay ” I run up stairs and start getting my things together , and as I think I'm done

My brain seems to work when it's under pressure

“ you're going home today ?” my friends ask as I take my things down stairs

“ yeah bye ”

“ Elizabeth your parents are here ” miss France shout

Elizabeth Elizabeth, why can't you just call me Liz  for Christ sake I also like beth but no body calls me that . I hate when they call my full name

“ coming ” I said and finally I got to the car ...“ heyy good afternoon ” I greeted my uncle

“ how are you ?” he ask

“ fine but really tired ”

“ when you get home you'll take a nap , I picked you today because we have people coming to visit us tomorrow ”

“ okay ”

We got home and I took a nap then ate and all that just resting

NEXT DAY

I lie on my bed just chatting with my friends then the door opened

“ come down stair visitors are downstairs ” my aunt told me

What's my business with them not like they can send money to my account

“ okay !” I said and get up. I head down stairs to the living room

In the living room is a white man and God she's here again the woman who claims to be the one who brought me to this world

“ sit down ” my uncle said  and I sit “ you've met her right? ” he ask referring to the lady

“ yeah ”

“ I heard all that happened while you were in school ” he said and I nod “ this is her husband Mr Jeremy and they are her for you .......”

“ I don't care ” I said

“ they've  apologize to the family and ......they are forgiven  but they are still here  in Nigeria because you haven't forgiven her yet ”

“ I forgive her ” I said

“ really! ” they all said

“ yeah if I say the word she'll leave Nigeria and never disturb me ”

“ you're going with her to America ”

“ never mind that's not happening ”

“ hey Liz ” Mr Jeremy said and I look at him lazily

“ what do you want ?” I ask

“ hey Liz he's older than you ” my uncle said

“ I know ” I said

“ I know you're mad at her so am I because she never told me you were where if not we will have come for you since....... I found out a month ago ......... Just please give her a chance to show she cares about you ” Jeremy said for a reason I don't know I really like this dude . I just look at him

“ I don't think I can forgive her now I need time ”

“ we want you to come to  America with us ”

“ why ?”

“ so we can show you we care for you ”

“ I'm not going ”

“ they've paid for your visa ” my uncle said

“ nice one then why asking me ....... Or begging me when you've done it behind my back ” I ask sarcastically rolling my eyes

“ you're going with them okay if you don't like them .......you can always come back to Nigeria ” my uncle said

“ just pay instead for me to go live my life in south Korea ” I said

“ no you're going to America ” my uncle said  giving me the eye that says do not  disagree , I roll my eyes

“ fine ” I said lazily, if I disagree there is going to be a huge quarrel and  its never going to end .....it's going to come every day when an issue comes up , so I rather go since Mr Jeremy seems nice but I'm never going to forgive her till the next seventeen years because that's how long she left me

I get up “ thanks Liz ” she said

“ you're leaving tomorrow so you're making your air today and quickly get your things ready ” my uncle said .......I check the time and it's 10:23am so I've got a lot of time to make my hair , I'll make box braid and with red

“ okay ” I said and walk back upstairs

The  rest of the day I used to make my hair and finally  I finish arranging my things into my luggage by 11: 45pm , she just seems to stress me when ever she like but it has to stop .

NEXT DAY

My uncle made me dress on time  , and now am just in my room lying on the bed looking around last time till I see this house again and I forgot to tell you my uncle children are all in college and schooling in London, I was to go also when I get into college but now 😿  I'm going to America, her kids should not annoy me not even a bit if possible not talk to  .

I pack my hair in a ponytail  the time is  3:45pm , I feel stupid...... For  believing them and  really getting my things ready am sure my uncle feels stupid too because he forgive people too quick, he's a very nice man you know

“ hey Liz they are here ...... ” my aunty said

Wow they came I wanted them not to come oh Christ “ okay ” I get up and hug her “ I'll miss you ” I said and she hug me back , we pull away and I take my luggage downstairs..... The car is outside they are both standing by the side

I turn and hug my uncle “ I'll really miss you ...... Make sure you eat healthy okay ?” he smile and nod . I wave them good bye and enter the car

“ how are you doing Liz ?” Jeremy ask

“ just normal and annoyed ”

“ thank you for agreeing to come ” she said

“ I don't even know your name so don't talk to me  and I never agreed you guys planned it behind my back .” I said to her

“ she's Rebecca your mom ” Jeremy said

“ not my mom ” I said looking out the window
