(Sonic's P.O.V.)

    (V/N) doesn't look like he's gonna back down and I guess (Y/N)'s probably long gone by now. I get into a battle stance and start destroying (V/N)'s robots with super speed. When I'm done with his robots, I spin dash into his hovercraft and send him flying off somewhere. That was over surprisingly quick. I'm gonna go get a chili dog. Today's ruined anyway.

(Reader's P.O.V.)

    When I finally regain control of my hovercraft, I let out a scream so loud it scares the birds off. Defeat? Me, defeated? I have never known defeat. This new development irks me. I thought that nuisance was all talk, no action! Clearly, I underestimated him and now the whole city will underestimate me because of my error! I take a deep breath. Calm, need to remain calm. I can fix this, I just need to change tactics. Ugh, everything hurts. Getting punted off into the horizon at super speed really hurts. I'll need to upgrade my armor and build some new bots. And maybe it wouldn't hurt to get closer to Sonic. The saying 'keep your friends close and your enemies closer' comes to mind.  For now, I'm going to patch up and regroup. This is a pain.

(Tails' P.O.V.)

    Sonic finally comes home but the first thing he does is head straight for his room and slam the door. He's in a bad mood, I can tell. Only two things I know put Sonic in a bad mood. One is when Amy pushes him too far and the other is when Eggman pushes too far. It's either one or the other or possibly it's the new girl bothering him. He's crushing hard on her and won't stop talking about her. He kinda sounds a bit like Amy whenever he talks about (Y/N). I really hope he's not bugging her like Amy bugs him. I walk up to Sonic's room and knock on the door. "Sonic? Everything okay?" I hear a muffled 'no' come from his room. He's sulking in his bed. I open the door and find Sonic on his bed, face down with a blanket over his head. It must be pretty bad. "Do you want to talk about it?" He huffs and throws the blanket off of him. "Amy totally ruined my present for (Y/N)! She showed up out of nowhere and stole it out of my hands before I could give it to (Y/N)! And then to top it off, (Y/N) totally disappeared when this (V/N) guy showed up! He wasn't even that strong! I beat him in a minute and a half! But by then my whole plan was ruined. I even figured out which flowers were her favorite..." "Sonic, couldn't you just try again tomorrow?" "BUT SHE'S BUSY TOMORROW! She has one day in the week she's super busy and that's tomorrow!" Somehow, he's sounding like Amy again. He knows her weekly schedule? I'm starting to get a little worried Sonic might be taking this crush a little too far. "Maybe you should give (Y/N) a little space..." "BUT TAILS! You don't understand! She's so mysterious. She's the first girl to act so coldly to me!" "And that's appealing?" "YES! Most girls I encounter just fawn over me. She's the first girl to give me the cold shoulder. And that makes her the unicorn. The mythical creature all guys search for." When Sonic says the unicorn of girls he's referring to a girl who's different from the rest. I honestly think (Y/N) might just be one of the few non-Sonic fans. But for some reason, that seems to catch his eye way more than a girl who fawns over him. I'll just need to make sure he doesn't annoy the girl too badly. Maybe I could convince him to let me meet her. "Sonic, do you think that maybe I could meet (Y/N)? I'm worried that she might be no good for you." I see Sonic clench the bedsheets, probably holding off yelling at me for calling her 'no good'. "I'm just worried about you, I'm sure (Y/N)'s a nice girl." I think I should avoid using negative terms to describe (Y/N) around Sonic. His condition seems to spike when he hears a negative remark involving her. "Well, I guess I can take you to meet her. I mean, she'll have to meet you at some point anyway. Let's go the day after tomorrow. Cuz, she's busy tomorrow..." I really hope Sonic isn't taking this too far.
