Chapter 20

A/N: I just wanted to write a pure fluff chapter so, diabetes warning!!! 😂😂😂

***

Since it was too early to watch the sun rise, Sunny decided to ride around in the city till about 4am where Sunny decided to stop at the beach.

"I've never been to the beach so early in the morning," Ayesha told Sunny.

"Neither have I," Sunny replied. "But we have 2 hours to kill."

"I wish I had brought my laptop," Ayesha remarked. "At least we would have some entertainment. If only our phones can do something like that."

"Mine can," Sunny said as he pulled out his phone and dangled it around Ayesha.

"Is that the brand new Nokia?" Ayesha asked, excitedly.

"Yup," Sunny replied. "Which means we don't have to bored to death. But if I use the internet, it's going to drain my battery."

"Cool," Ayesha said. "So what's in your music playlist?"

Ayesha reached out to grab the phone but was stopped by Sunny.

"Ayeshaji," Sunny reprimanded. "This is my personal phone. You can't just look through it. I'll play the music. You can do whatever you want."

"Put in on shuffle," Ayesha ordered. "No cheating!"

"Fine," Sunny agreed.

The familiar trumpet intro started playing as Ayesha suddenly got excited.

"Is this your version or the movie version?" Ayesha asked.

"I don't know," Sunny replied. "I have both versions so just listen."

When the words begun, she was glad that it was Vishal that was rapping. She immediately jumped into their choreography.

Vishal:
Yeah! Baby When You See Me
Coming Yeah!
Yeah You Better Run For Cover
Yeah
Cause You Know When I Find You
Yeah
Yeah I'm Gonna Be Your Lover
Yeah! Baby When You See Me
Coming Yeah!
Yeah You Better Run For Cover
Yeah
Cause You Know When I Find You
Yeah
Yeah I'm Gonna Be Your Lover

Kabir:
Tujhse Log Kahnge
Na Kar Pyaar Mujhe
Mein To Lakh Bura Hoon
Need Chura Loon Hosh Uda Doon
Main To Baahon Mein Le Ke
Raah Bhula Doon Baat Bana Doon
Chahe Jahaan Dil Ko Chupaa
Baaton Hi Baaton Main
Do Mulaqaton Mein Le Loon

"Come on Sunny," she called out. "Let's practice."

Sunny laughed but he just stayed and watched her.

Sunny:
Bachna Ae Haseeno
Lo Mein Aa Gaya
Ae Bachna Ae Haseeno
Lo Mein Aa Gaya
Husn Ka Aashiq
Husn Ka Dushman
Apni Ada Hai Yaaron Se Juda

VKAS:
Hai Ho!

Sunny:
Bachna Ae Haseeno
Lo Mein Aa Gaya

Arjun:

"Sunny!" Ayesha whined. "Come on, dance with me."

"If I dance with you now," Sunny answered. "I won't be able to dance later."

"What nonsense!"Ayesha scolded. "You're just lazy! Abhay and I could do it."

"Fine," Sunny reluctantly agreed.

Kabir:
Hey Tujhko Zamaane Ke Aage Main
Chedunga Na Chorrunga
Aankein Churayegi Bhi To Milaunga

Arjun:
Hai Hai Hai Hai

Kabir:
Ja Ja Kya Bahaane Banayegi
Dekhunga Dil Phenkhunga
Jhootey Mootey Vaadey Suna Ke Fasaunga

Sunny:
Husn Ka Aashiq
Husn Ka Dushman
Apni Ada Hai Yaaron Se Juda

VKAS:
Hai Ho!

Sunny:

The outro of the song played and started to fade out as Sunny and Ayesha collapsed on the bike and started laughing like mad people.

"That was fun," she said. "Let's play another one!"

"You're a slave driver, you know?" Sunny commented.

"And you're really mean, you know?" Ayesha retorted. "Now play the next song!"

"Hold on," Sunny said with a chuckle. "I'm sure you don't do this to Abhay, do you?"

"No," she replied. "Because he's a lot nicer than you are."

"Nicer?" Sunny asked. "But I'm a nice guy."

"No," she stated. "You're mean."

"I'm reasonable," he responded. "You're just upset because I won't let you ride my bike. And after that day, I'm never going to let you ride it."

"You're turning into Kabir," Ayesha muttered.

"What do you mean?" Sunny asked.

"You're starting to treat me like how Kabir treats me," she pointed out. "Like a child. You guys are constantly hovering around me, telling me what to do and what not to do. You weren't like that before. Kabir's my brother and he's been like that since I was born but you? You used to hate the guts out of me."

"I didn't hate you, Ayesha," Sunny admitted. "I was just annoyed, at most. I mean, you wouldn't leave us alone for even a minute."

"Wow," Ayesha said, jokingly. "I guess Tara's right. If she and Kabir didn't end up together, you two would probably end up as gay partners."

"What?!" Sunny scoffed. "I like girls, ok?"

I like you...

Those words played on the tip of his tongue.

Ayesha laughed.

"Whatever," she shrugged.

A yawn escaped Ayesha's lips and Sunny immediately casted her a concerned look.

"There!" Ayesha pointed out. "This is what I mean by the both of you being overprotective. Now, can you stop looking at me that way? I'm fine."

"I guess you don't have much experience staying up the whole night, do you?" Sunny asked.

"It's my first actually," Ayesha revealed, sheepishly. "I've never stayed awake past 3 in the morning."

"I can tell," Sunny said. "Do you want to lie down for a while?"

Ayesha's eyes widen.

"I won't do anything to you," he continued. "And I'll wake you up. I promise."

"I can stay awake just fine," Ayesha responded. However, her body had different ideas and another yawn escaped, betraying her.

Sunny shook his head in disbelief as he went over to his bike. He pulled out the canvas he usually used to cover his bike and laid it on the sand.

"Come here," Sunny said as he sat down in the canvas sheet.

Ayesha stood still, unwilling to admit defeat.

"Come here yaar," Sunny repeated, a little more stern. "I'm not going to do anything."

Ayesha reluctantly walked over and sat down next to him.

"Thank you," Sunny said, sarcastically.

He suddenly lowered himself which startled Ayesha.

"Kya kar rahe ho (What are you doing)?" Ayesha asked.

"I'm lying down," Sunny replied.

Sunny lied on the floor, his back on the sand and his eyes staring at the dark sky.

"I wish there wasn't so much lights in the city," he told her. "Then we could see the stars."

Ayesha tilted her head upwards, mirroring Sunny's actions.

"Haan (Yes)," Ayesha answered. "It's a shame. It's a wonderful night."

"I think you mean morning," Sunny corrected.

Ayesha just waved him off and looked at the sea. Sunny didn't move, he didn't want to startle her again. A moments of silence passed.

"You can lie down if you want," Sunny  said, breaking the silence. "It's more comfortable."

"I don't want to get sand in my hair," she replied. "And if you still want to keep this a secret, I think I shouldn't get sand anywhere else as well."

"Fine," Sunny said as he hoisted himself up, his hand accidentally brushing against hers. "My gosh, your hands are cold. Are you ok?"

"I'm fine," Ayesha brushed him off. "Haven't you heard the saying cold hands, warm heart?"

He scoffed.

"Don't be stupid," he fretted. "You'll catch a cold and we'll both get into trouble. Wait here."

Sunny immediately got up and ran to his bike. Ayesha saw him pulling out a neon green clothing article of some sort. She begun wondering where in the world did he manage to keep so many things in that small bike of his.

"Here put this on," Sunny said as he passed it to her. "I know it's a raincoat but that's all I have."

She accepted it and put it on. It came down to her tighs.

"Thanks," she said. She looked over at Sunny and realised his t-shirt was rather thin. The sea breeze was starting to pick up and she had a gut feeling that Sunny was feeling cold too. "What about you? Aren't you cold?"

"Nope," Sunny lied. "Not even one bit."

To be honest, Sunny was freezing his butts off.

"You're crossing your fingers," Ayesha pointed out. "Jhoota (Lier)!".

Sunny laughed.

"Fine," he finally admitted. "I'm freezing. Happy?"

Ayesha removed half of the raincoat and beckoned him to come under the raincoat as well.  He scooted over and put on the other half. He then swung his other arm around her, pulling her closer to him. Sunny flinched once his body made contact with hers.

"God," he remarked. "You're practically an icicle. Why didn't you say anything earlier? Idiot. Do you want to die of hypothermia? I hope you realize that if you die, I'll be charged for assisted suicide? And I can't go to jail! I'm too good looking to be in jail!"

Ayesha laughed.

"Dramebaaz (Drama queen)!" Ayesha mocked. "How long more do we need to wait for the sunrise?"

Sunny looked at his phone.

4.28am

"An hour and a half?" Sunny guessed. "I don't know."

Ayesha smacked his tighs.

"What do you mean by you don't know?" Ayesha questioned his sanity. "Didn't you check before inviting me?"

"I kind of made it up on the spot," he answered.

Ayesha shivered as a gust of wind blew past. Sunny immediately pulled her nearer.

"Let's go back," he suggested. "We're getting cold and we have no idea how long we will have to wait."

"No," Ayesha muttered. "We're waiting."

"Fine," Sunny said. He pulled out his phone. "Let's listen to some music at least."

A/N: I think Sunny is definitely smitten with Ayesha... But when will he confess to her??? And if he confesses, will Ayesha accept??? So many questions, so little time left... I only have about 9 or 10 chapters left and we're done with this book... 😱😱😱
