Chris's POV

After trying to ring Zoe a couple more times my phone started ringing, I jumped up from my seat picked it up off the counter and saw that it was Zoe calling me, so I answered straight away.

"Hey, is everything alright? Where are you? Let me come and pick you up." The words spilled from my mouth faster than I could even process.

"Everything's falling apart around me... And I don't know how to stop it... I'm on campus and it would be great if you could pick me up."

"Yeah ok I'm on my way out the door now I'll see you shortly."

"Alright, bye." She hung up.

I'm so relieved that Zoe has finally got in contact after 3 weeks I was worried sick and I can't even be mad at her cause she just has one of those smiles that makes the world stop. Jumping in my car and turning the keys in the ignition, I sped off to get to her as soon as I can just to hold her even just for a little while and know that she is safe in my arms.

*Skip car ride*

Pulling over and getting out of my car and I ran to Zoe and picking her up and spinning her around.

Hearing the cute little giggle of hers made me smile even bigger, but out of the corner of my eye I noticed Jordan watching from behind a tree and in that moment I knew I had to make sure Zoe was safe even if my life depended on it.

*Skip car ride*

When we got to mine and sat down at the kitchen table I asked Zoe what had happened earlier today and she explained everything. The look on her face broke my heart even more than the words that came out of her mouth cause she looked like she was gonna breakdown and cry.  When she started to take her jumper off and her shirt rode up a little and revealed bruises covering her side.
