  I headed towards the cafeteria and sat at our usual table, I was surprised to see Adrian and Justin at our table, I was aware of the glares and stares girls sent our way which made me uncomfortable and feel self conscious but the most surprising thing was that the rest seemed not to notice, I could hardly eat under the burning gazes of most people in the cafeteria and I ended up picking at my food.

"Ava, what's wrong? You've be smiling for quite a while now and you've hardly touched your food" Audrey pointed out.

"Huh?"

"What are you smiling at?" She asked curiously.

"Nothing, I just remembered something" I lied hoping she wouldn't push it further even I had no idea why I was smiling.

As usual Audrey and Justin were bickering and the worst thing was that they were arguing about who's more stupid, while Adrian and I were quietly eating stealing glances at each other from time to time.

I saw Natalie and her minions walking over, yeah you've never heard of her before she's the school Queen bee.

Am I dreaming?

"No you're not" Adrian replied flatly.

Did I say that out Loud?

Yeah you did, isn't that obvious?

  Natalie and her minions had arrived at out our table, she looked like a barbie doll with way too much makeup, tight clothes that showed her cleavages and ended at her mid thigh.

How are these clothes even allowed in school?

  "Hey Audrey!"

  "Hi Avril!"
She said smiling as soon as she got to our table.

"It's Ava" I corrected with an eye roll, Gosh! We've been taking classes with me for about seven years, and she doesn't even know my name.

Wait!! What is she even doing here in the first place? We've never even talked before and here she is acting all friendly like we've known for years, I glanced at Audrey her expression mirrored mine, she was giving her a quizzical look like she had grown two heads.

  "Sorry about that" She said with a forced smile, twirling a few strands of her hair within her fingers.  "I see you've got company here" she said gesturing to Adrian smiling flirtatiously batting her eyelashes "mind if you introduced me?" She said a little too sweetly.

  Oh! That's why, it's Adrian she came for.

"Well he does have a mouth, you can introduce yourself" Audrey said bluntly.

"You're so rude, I just wanted to help since you're stuck with this lonely bitch that looks like she cannot say a word" she said in her unusually loud voice looking at me with pure hatred, I flinched and plopped against my chair, looks like she has personal scores to settle with me.

The whole cafeteria went silent, fixing their attention on our table, it's not like they weren't looking before with Adrian here after the Queen bee decided to walk to our table they stopped eating obviously waiting for a drama to unfold.

Audrey leapt to my defence immediately.

  "Mind your language, besides if there's anyone that should be called a bitch then it's you and one more thing, I didn't say I needed your help it's not like I'm some charity case, I'll rather prefer her or no one, than put up with an annoying bitch like you" Her voice was high and unwavering, she seemed overly confident.

Justin started clapping, Natalie shot him a death glare and he stopped immediately.

  "I forgot you don't deserve any bit of my time, you can go to hell for all I care!" She fired back and they both started glaring at each other, none of them looked like they were gonna back down easily.

"Chill girls you ........"

"Get lost" Natalie yelled

"Don't you dare talk to him like that" Audrey yelled her voice matching Natalie's.

"And if I do, what are you gonna do? Beat me up?" She sneered.

  "I'll do worse than that"

"Is that a threat?"

"Why bother asking? Why not try and see for yourself you bitch" The last word earned her a slap from Natalie, Audrey was flaming red with anger and I knew I had to stop her before ......

Oh it's too late, no one had seen it coming, she had grabbed a handful Natalie's hair which got her screaming and shoved her face into the sandwich she was eating, she took her soda and was about to dump all it's contents on her hair when Justin held her restraining her from doing so.

"What's happening here?" A deep voice asked and I turned just in time to see the principal, Mr Simpson.

A student supplied that they got involved in a fight.

"Natalie, miss Henderson, to my office" Natalie smirked at Audrey before following her father out, Audrey huffed following suit.

As if on cue every student turned their attention back to whatever they were doing before disappointed they didn't get to see them fight.

Adrian who's the cause of every thing was silently eating his food with a blank expression on his face.

Natalie's minions who remained standing gave me a glare before sashaying to their table.

You follow her everywhere why didn't you follow her to the principals' office?

Idiots!

I noticed Justin had started laughing

Oops did I say that out loud?

"Audrey, wait! How did it go?" I asked after the bell was rung for the close of school.

"Detention" she said grinning.

I gave her an impossible look "Detention? And you're happy bout it?" I can't imagine myself getting detention because of my clean records. Mom would ground me till I die.

"Yeah, at least I got back at her before the arrival of the principal" she said.

"What about Natalie?" I asked curiously, surely she deserved to be punished too it's not like she'd be punished anyway.

She scoffed "Natalie? As usual she acted innocent like I just walked up to her, pulled her hair and shoved her ugly face in my food" she said with disdain "Too bad I didn't get to dump that soda on her hair"

"And he believed her" I asked shocked.

"Why wouldn't he? She's his daughter after all, he made me apologize to her and wouldn't believe she slapped me first" she complained.

"Natalie's trouble be careful" I warned her.

  "She can do her worst for all I care, I ain't afraid of her"

I rolled my eyes Audrey can be really stubborn at times.

  "So now I have detention, three days straight" she groaned.

"I thought you were happy about it?"

"You're going home now?" I asked her.

"I have detention remember"

"Then I'll wait for you"

"You don't have to" she stated.

  "Not like I have anything doing at home anyways"
