I felt happy, free and wild. It was too beautiful to be true, the flowers in their bright gay beautiful colours seemed to to dance with the gentle breeze,

The sky was so beautiful and blue and the birds sang happily and beautifully to all who cared to listen

If life was as peaceful as this not having to worry about classes, grades, bullies and trying to fit in?

When every one was so fulfilled, happy and free of worry, troubles and depression, who would think about murder or suicide?

I stretched my hands and reached out to a flower and sniffed it, it was as if it was heaven on earth
I enjoyed every single second until................

I felt the sensation of cold water on my face and I realized it was all a dream and I was back to reality facing my elder sister Bianca, who was smiling sheepishly.

'Oh my God, did you have to do that? I asked trying to drain the water out of my hair with my hands.

'What should I have done when you practically refused to wake up after all I did' she said still smiling mischievously

'You shouldn't have, if only you knew the kind of dream I was having bet me you would regret this' I said somewhat dramatically

'Oh really, well if you knew what time it is you would thank me a thousand time for waking you up' she said and walked out. It was then I realized she was already dressed

I glanced at the wall clock then it dawned on me I'm going to be late again

I jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom. After a quick warm shower (that was because I couldn't wait for the water to be hot enough) I brushed my teeth and grabbed the first clothes at sight, well I know you're thinking I'm one of those girls who would spend 30 minutes or an hour in front of the mirror having a makeover , well I'm sorry you're wrong I prefer going natural most times.

I grabbed several unfinished assignments that was left open on my reading table and put them in my backpack and was about to run out when I caught my reflection in the mirror I knew I had forgotten something which was my hair

It looked so messy that I couldn't step out of my room like that, so I hurriedly combed it and threw it in a ponytail

I glanced at my wristwatch 7:45 well no matter how hard I try I always get late to school it had somehow become part of me.

I totally forgot about breakfast until my mom called me back and packed it for me, I gratefully put it in my bag

Bianca left me again so I had to walk to school

The walk to school took me about ten minutes and unfortunately mathematics was my fist class, I knew Mr Jones was definitely gonna tongue lash me for late coming.

My heart was beating at a very fast rate as I opened the door quietly and slipped into the backseat unnoticed thankfully

That was a close one!

After what seemed like eternity classes finally ended and I headed towards the cafeteria to get something to eat I was famished

Then I saw my only friend Audrey walking towards me we had only started talking when she stood up for me when I was being bullied a few weeks ago she had become like my best friend.

'Ava, it was a long boring weekend without you, you know I spent the weekend with my aunt my phone fell into water and I had to get a new one that's the reason I did not did not call you' she said and tried hugging me but I moved and crossed my hands trying to feign annoyance

'And when you arrived yesterday, you did not care to visit?' I said turning to back her and smiling to my self.

'Oh, baby girl I'm sorry, don't worry I'll make it up to you' she said

And as she expected I turned round and asked the usual

'Really? You mean anything?'

'Yeah anything' she said smiling

'Promise?' I asked again

'Yeah'

The only thing I could think of was lunch because of how hungry I was

'So my Lunch's on you' I said with a tone of finality

'Stupid girl that's alright, so what are we waiting for let's go'

While eating Audrey filled my head with the new boy she called Adrian or something that got transferred to our school and how he looks perfect and blah blah blah

I sighed

How did I make friends with Audrey again?
