Audrey came over because she wanted to get everything that happened yesterday with Adrian, she jumped on my bed on which I was trying to do my homework.

"Ava what's up?" She asked eagerly.

"Nothing much, just trying to work my assignments" I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Well keep that aside for now there's always another time for that, right now you're gonna fill me in with every single thing that happened but first starting with a drink" she said.

"Sorry forgive my manners, what should l get you?" I said, she was always bent on teaching good manners

"My favourite will do, you got it?" She asked

"Yeah we do, I'll be right back" I said closing my books and going down to get it, I decided to tame some popcorn also.

After pouring her a glass, I put my books away waiting for her to finish up her glass,  she gulped down half the content of the glass before putting it away and facing me.

"So?"

I didn't wait for her to ask  twice, because knowing Audrey, she doesn't posses the quality of patience she could bring the whole house down if she didn't get what she wanted, I settled down to eat.

I told her everything from the almost rape incident to Adrian dropping me home, I made sure not to leave a single thing out because she'll find out later and don't ask me how and she's gonna kill me for living that tiny bit of information out.

"That's good, but you're missing the big part, the one I wanna hear" she said

"Which part?" I asked slightly confused

"The part involving Travis, did you really talk to him?" She asked stealing some of my popcorn.

I glared at her and she just smiled

"Yeah I did" I said in between mouthfuls

"That's great!" She squealed "Tell me about it"

"Nothing much" I said shrugging my shoulders

"I wanna hear the nothing much just spill" she stole some more of my popcorn

"Wow this is really good give me some of it will you?"

"Nope you've had just enough already" I said keeping my popcorn far out of her reach

"Please" she pouted

"No, so you said you wanna hear something" I said trying to avert her attention from my popcorn and it worked because her eyes lit up almost immediately

"Yes about Travis, tell me about it "she said leaning forward eagerly.

"Well like I said it's nothing much, we just got talking and he asked me for a dance which I accepted because ......."

"What! You danced with Travis? Unbelievable, Somebody punch me is this a dream ......." "Ouch that hurts, I didn't ask you to pinch me for real" She said rubbing her arm which was a little pink from the pinch.

"Well at least now you know you're not dreaming" I shrugged throwing a popcorn in my mouth.

"I know but it's really so hard to believe you danced with Travis"

"Yeah I did what's the big deal?" I asked

"Really, you just danced with one of the hottest guys in school and you're asking what the big deal is, do you have an idea of how many girls would kill to be in your shoes right now? Having the attention of the hottest and most popular guys in school" She said with a look of total disbelief.

"Guys?" I asked

"Yeah guys, Adrian and Travis ....... Well speaking of Adrian you said he's your next door neighbor?"

"Yeah" I said wondering where she was getting with it

"When is he coming over?"

"Probably today to return the plates like he said yesterday" I said

"Well let's prepare you for that, you know you suck at conversations"

"I don't" I protested munching my popcorn angrily poor thing was at the receiving end of my anger.

I really tried yesterday talking to Adrian right?

No you didn't

Shut up Avvy I did not ask you

"We all know you do"

"No I don't" I huffed angrily turning to the other side

"Well if you say you don't, if Adrian shows up with the plates what would you do?" She asked

I turned back to face her

"That's simple, I'll take the plate and shut the door" I said proudly, like it was the simplest thing in the world

"Argh I didn't know you were this worse, put yourself in his shoes, you're Adrian and you're returning plates to your neighbor and she just takes it without a word and slams the door in your face, how'd you feel?" She asked

"I'll feel .... Bad" I admitted, I didn't realise I was this bad.

Well now you know!

Shut up Avvy

"You want me to teach you how to make proper conversions and make someone feel at home at your house?"

"Yes"

I sat up ready for her lecture

I drew my popcorn closer, this sure is gonna be long

"Good"

I reached out for my popcorn only to find out it was empty

"Audrey you did this right?"

She gave me a sheepish grin

"Maybe"

I looked at her in anger, no one eats my food and gets away with it I stared at her dangerously

"It was so irresistible"

"Audrey " I screamed throwing my pillow at her tackling her to the ground

"Geez remind me not to touch your food again"

After Audrey left, Bianca also left to God knows where and Mom wasn't yet back from the grocery store so I was the only one left at home, trust me it was boring  and Avvy refused to talk with me it was like we were fighting.

I left my room taking the assignments I did not complete earlier to the living room, I was having problem working my physics no matter how hard I tried I did not seem to get any where with, I let out a frustrated sigh giving up on it temporarily maybe my brain was overworked and needed rest.

I was about falling asleep on the couch when a knock on the door jolted me back to reality, that must be Bianca cause it was about time she came back anyway.

"Bianca thank goodness you're here, I'm having problems with my physics ..........." I came to face with Adrian

"Hi"

A genuine smile made it's way to my face, don't think otherwise it was Audrey's advice.

"Hey, I came with the plates" he said lifting the plates a little for me to see

I'm not blind, I can see it

"Oh, thanks" I said collecting the plates

"So I'll be on my may" he said

"So soon?, won't you come in for at least a drink?" I asked pleasantly still smiling.

Please say no, the house's a mess

"If that's okay with you" he said calmly

"Sure" Audrey predicted this boy perfectly well, she made me rehearse possible answers and conversion starters many times, she came knocking on the door several times acting like Adrian (And now that was funny) saying I needed practice

"Please have a seat, what drink should I get you?" I asked, he was looking at me strangely, all my answers and questions were rehearsed I guess be could see that.

"Fruit drink would do" he said

Well I was not prepared for that Audrey had predicted water so I said the first thing that came to my mind.

"What fruit?"

"Orange"

"Give me a minute, I'll be right back" I said rushing into the kitchen

I heaved a sigh of relief, I had to smile like Audrey said "smile always" and my cheeks had started to hurt from doing just that.
