In class, you are learning about the history of the Earth.

Teacher: "Decades ago, the unknown creatures of Chaos flooded our world, effectively destroying it. The survivors of the attack created and hid within the Ark, the last Bastion of humanity. We were safe for a while, but these demonic cultists, "The Rayonne", found our city and guided chaos here, so we are all doing our part to survive and live within the Ark. That's why we fully cooperate with the Ark Defense Force and find our callings within the Ark's many vital divisions, and I know some of you already managed to work part-time with the ADF in spite of your age."

You looked at your tablet and scrolled through multiple news columns about the Ark's government pushing every division for breakthroughs in its economy or defense systems.

Suddenly, an alarm rang and the windows are shut with armored plating.

"Alert! Alert!" a district-wide announcement shouted. "Chaos invasion imminent! Please seek immediate shelter!"

Everyone in class headed for the nearby shelters and you received a call from the device on your wrist. You saw it's from your father, Maximilian Howard, and answered it.

"Dad! What's happening?!"

Max: "Chaos is invading! Get to Zone 18 quickly!"

"On it!"

You went into a room that read "Authorized Personnel Only" and placed your hand on a touchpad near a locker. The locker opened up and reveals pieces of armor with the initials "ADF" on the chest plate.

You put on the armor and slid down a pole that lead to a room with a few motorcycles. You hopped aboard one and drove over Zone 18, where you witnessed several explosions in the area.

Arriving at your destination, as multiple creatures of Chaos wreak havoc, various ADF soldiers arrive and began to attack them while you went with the police officers to search for injured people.

Suddenly, multiple Rayonne cultists appear and pull out swords. You pulled out your blaster and fired at the cultists. Some Rayonne members charged from behind, but you grabbed them and used them as a shield to take the stabs.

You continued firing at them and took care of the others attempting to attack. You then saw a cloaked woman floating in the air, but disappeared as soon as a cloud of smoke passes by.

Max arrived and took care of the remaining Rayonne in the area.

Max: "You alright?"

"Yes, Captain."

Max: "We're in the middle of an attack, what are are staring at?"

"I thought I saw some woman floating in the air."

Max: "Probably some Rayonne prophet. They have abilities that defy reality itself."

Suddenly, a massive Chaos Creature broke through the ground and pushed both you and Max back. The woman appears and fired magic at the creature. They attack her, but she flew out of its reach.

You opened your now-glowing eyes, jumped up, and dashed through the creature of Chaos, creating slash marks by the swords formed in your hands.

The creature's body fell apart and it died. The woman was left surprised by your attack and landed on the ground before checking up on you.

"Are you alright?" she asked.

Max: "What the hell was that? You know what, answer that part later. We better get you to medical. And you, who the hell are you? Are you one of those damned Rayonne Prophets?!"

He pulled out his blaster and aimed at the woman.

"I don't think so," you said getting up. "They don't usually attack their minions."

Max: "I guess, but pull the hood down and tell us your name."

The woman smirked and pulled down her hood, revealed herself having a very beautiful face with black hair, gold eyes, and a scar on her chin with a Boar tattoo on her neck.

"My name is Merlin."

Your eyes widen upon hearing the name.

"Merlin? As in the Boar Sin of Gluttony?"

Merlin: "That's the one."

Max: "If that's true, then what are you doing here? You and the Sins disappeared ages ago."

Merlin: "This world's end is coming faster than expected, but I'm here to help you avoid that. Besides, the Sins solve more problems than cause them."

"So what do you want?"

Merlin: "A partnership."
