You and Merlin are in the Boar Hat Tavern with Meliodas, Escanor and Arthur.

"Where are the others?"

Arthur: "They're out gathering food for the tavern, but I don't know where our Merlin went."

Meliodas: "Back to the matter at hand. So either you're a clone, or you're literally from the future. And do you have any idea Merlin took off like that? It seemed like she has an idea why you're here."

"How'd you even notice us?"

Meliodas: "Oh, well, we sensed Melascula suddenly appearing in Camelot and went to go check it out. And I saw you two kill her and take her Commandment. Also, Merlin, you should probably explain how you use your teleportation."

You attempted to answer, but Merlin put her hand on your shoulder and got up to answer herself.

Merlin: "A catastrophe emerged in the future and has destroyed the world. The human race is all that's left and is still in danger. I asked for Y/N's help to come back here and stop it from happening."

Escanor: "Would this catastrophe happen to have been your doing?"

She struggled to answer, but Arthur did not believe that possibility.

Arthur: "Escanor, there's no way Merlin could have done that. She's the greatest magician in Britannia and the wisest person I've ever known."

Meliodas: "You can tell us later. We are trying to take down the remaining Ten Commandments. We'll keep this a secret from the others and no doubt the other Merlin will too. Just keep a low profile and you can take the Commandments yourself."

Merlin: "Of course. Let's go, Y/N."

She prepared to herself, along with you, away.

Arthur: "Wait! Do I grow up to become the king I wanted--"

She teleported herself along with you away before Arthur can finish asking.

Escanor: "Arthur, maybe I don't think we should too much about our futures."

Arthur: "I know, but still. I wanted to know."

Back with you, Merlin teleported to a pond and sat down next to you.

Merlin: "We're clear, Caliburn. You can talk now."

Caliburn: "Finally. But why didn't you tell them the whole thing?"

"I know secrets did lead to the end of everything, but we're here to make sure it doesn't happen. So, it might be better if they didn't know too much just yet. We already got caught by Meliodas and Escanor, we don't want to draw any more attention to ourselves."

Caliburn: "I guess, but I think you should tell them. Otherwise, it will come full circle once more."

Merlin: "I know."

"So that was Meliodas. I figured he'd be taller."

Merlin: "That's what everyone expected when the Sins became wanted by Liones. I think it actually shattered a young girl's admiration for him."

"I can kinda see the look on her face when she saw the real thing."

You, Merlin, and Caliburn laughed a little.

Merlin: "I do want to make things right. I want to make things better."

"Merlin, was there anything else needed to free Chaos?"

Merlin: "Arthur, and Excalibur."

Caliburn: "How were those two key in freeing that entity?"

Merlin: "They were part of a prophecy foretelling Chaos' returning. Excalibur was a literal key in this prophecy. When Arthur failed to retake Camelot, a being called the Original Demon forced him to impale the sword into himself. I used the energy that I tricked Meliodas into firing into the Mystic Lake to empower Excalibur and free Chaos from its prison."

"Where was it being held?"

Merlin: "Remember the giant flying pig that the tavern was on? That was where Chaos was being held."

"And what happened to Arthur? You said the Original Demon killed him."

Merlin: "He was revived when Chaos entered him. I tried to help him control it. But, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Go figure."

"What happened to him next?"

Merlin: "He ended up becoming a tyrant. His power ended up depriving Britannia of many things."

She stayed silent for a moment after finishing her sentence, and started crying.

Merlin: "Then, when he was defeated, he spread fragments of Chaos around the world to preserve it and get revenge on those for refusing the twisted paradise he was creating. Then... He became XV."

You and Caliburn are shocked by this.

"Arthur became XV?!"

Caliburn: "That twisted entity of indescribable horrors?"

Merlin: "Yes. Look, this timeline has already diverged from ours. If we can gather the Commandments, we can use the Demon King's essence to force Chaos into awakening into that body. Then Chaos will become unstable, and we can erase it."

Caliburn: "Your past self will no doubt try to stop us."

Merlin: "Let me worry about that."

"Merlin?"

Merlin: "Yes?"

"I'm not going to forget what you did."

Merlin: "You shouldn't."

"But, I am trying to forgive you. Like I said when we took Excalibur, I know you want to make things right."

Merlin: "Can I say something? And please don't take it the wrong way."

"Go ahead."

Merlin: "I can't undo my past, but I know that there can still be a future worth fighting for. I want to make sure that still exists."

"I know. Let's make that happen."

You and Merlin looked at the pond together and enjoyed the peacefulness of your surroundings.
