You and Merlin are standing on top of Ark Defense Force headquarters.

"Me and Merlin have been busy the past few weeks. Taking out Rayonne bases, countering creatures of Chaos, and trying to figure out where Dark Eve or XV is."

You looked at Merlin and she notices despite not looking at you.

Merlin: "You got something to say, just say it, don't keep it back."

"When we were at the mall, you looked at the sword and seemed familiar with the metal used to make it. You said it was gone. I know Chaos destroyed everything, but where were you referring to?"

Merlin sighed.

Merlin: "Britannia. Although I guess people know it as England. That metal is a magic alloy that can only be found in specific regions there. The fact that the cultists have them means that they are harvesting them. There's a chance that either their base or an important mining facility might be there."

"So, do we investigate it. I mean, It is a long way from the Ark and dangerous."

Merlin: "No doubt."

"But if it's a lead, I think we should take it."

Merlin: "Maybe. I just don't want to lose anyone else."

Your scanner went off and you saw Chaos Energy being emitted from District 17. Merlin teleported you there and you saw a figure in robes that has a mutated arm.

"Freeze," you shouted, pointing your blaster gun. "You're under arrest, Rayonne!"

"Is that really a way to talk to the Prophet, Alpha?" the figure asked.

Merlin: "Speaking in the third-person. Of course."

Alpha: "Face the power of a god!"

Merlin moved you out of the way as Alpha swung his arm and sliced through multiple buildings.

Merlin: "I'm not going to make the same mistake twice!"

Merlin sent multiple magic projectiles at Alpha and managed to hit them. Alpha physically flung Merlin back as you charged at him.

You fired your blaster at Alpha, but Alpha blocks it with his Mutated Arm.

You holstered your blaster as you activated his power and summoned your swords. You slashed a sword and created a cut on Alpha's arm.

Alpha recoiled in pain as Merlin fired her magic at Alpha.

Alpha: "No. No! I can't be made part of him!"

Alpha fired a large energy beam, but you dodged and decapitated him. Alpha's body fell to the ground as his body broke apart and his spirit was absorbed into a reality tear.

"That's one Prophet down."

Merlin: "And more to go. But I think we have a chance. Let me give you a lift to your apartment."

Merlin teleported out of the ADF officers and the news crew arrived. Merlin helped you onto the couch and grabbed some cider for the both of you.

She sat down next to you and can tell you have something on your mind.

Merlin: "You can tell me. Go ahead."

You took a deep breath.

"That mistake you talked about. Do you mean the other Sins?"

Merlin sighed.

Merlin: "Yes. I promised them and someone else that I'd protect them. Then Chaos became insane and I failed to do so."

"Chaos went insane?"

Merlin: "It used to be a powerful being several conflicting personalities. Now it only has one: Insanity."

"So we're the ones that have to destroy it. To save everything."

Merlin: "Yeah. But what we do at this point, everything we do has to be willing. No tricks."

"Definitely. But I do know I got a partner that I can count on."

Merlin: "You do. And I'm going to keep it that way."

You held up your respective cups and drank to their mission to save the world.
