After waking up and seeing Merlin sleeping, you went to go take a shower. After a few minutes, Merlin appears and enters.

"Morning Merlin. How'd you sleep?"

Merlin: "Very well."

"I'm glad to hear it."

Merlin wrapped her arms around you.

Merlin: "Well, you did help with that."

You and Merlin stayed silent for a minute and you can tell that Merlin is still sad about everything she's done.

Merlin: "Can I tell you a horrifying possibility of why the Ark was untouched for a few decades?"

"Why?"

Merlin: "I think XV, Dark Eve, the Rayonne, and the forces of Chaos were busy hunting down the non-human races during that time."

"So, we were safe because they were busy killing the other races before moving on to humans?"

Merlin: "Afraid so. Can we be in the Ark for a few more days before we go talk to Gloxinia and Drole? There's something I need to work on."

"Of course."

You and Merlin got dressed and teleported to her lab at the ADF, where she worked on a gauntlet she made using the object she brought back from the past.

Merlin: "You know, I thought I was going to have to use the object mimic Aldan since I wanted to save my magic to fight the Demon King. Now that I have future tech in my grasp again, I can do something different."

She turned the object into a fingerless gauntlet.

"Merlin, can I ask a question?"

Merlin: "Go ahead."

"I don't mean to be rude, but couldn't we have just teleported to the Fairy King's Forest?"

Merlin: "Normally, but I was a bit busy trying to find a way to navigate the messed-up geography that Chaos created, so my memory of where everything once was is out of whack."

"Can't blame ya," you said. "So, we go talk to Gloxinia and Drole?"

Merlin: "Yep."

You then received a message from Max that read "Y/N, there's something I need to talk to you about. Can you come to the command center for a few minutes? It's empty at the moment".

Merlin: "We won't be coming back to the present for a while. Better wrap up any loose ends while you still can."

"Right."

You left the lab and went to the command center to see Max waiting for you.

"Dad?"

Max: "Son... there's something I need to tell you before you go back to the past."

"What is it?" you said, starting to get a little worried.

Max: "It's about when you were born."

"When I was born?"

Max: "18 years ago, around the time the Rayonne found the Ark. I was on patrol in Zone 09 and saw a woman who went into labor. I helped her get to a hospital and doctors so her baby could be delivered. The Rayonne then initiated attacks all around the Ark. The ADF fought hard and managed to drive them back. I went to look for survivors in Zone 09 and found none. Except for one."

You knew what Max is talking about and what he'll say.

Max: "I found the woman I helped holding her baby even as she wasn't living. I couldn't leave him there."

"That baby was me? Was that woman my mom?"

Max: "Yes. I'm sorry, I didn't know how to tell you sooner, but I want you to know that you're my son, no matter what."

You walked towards Max and stopped for a minute before hugging him.

"You're my dad, no matter what."

Max is surprised and hugged you back.

Max: "I love you, son."

"I love you too, Dad."

Unbeknownst to either of you, Merlin was hiding behind the walls listening to your conversation. The three of you went to the room containing Nimue and the time machine, where you saw that Caliburn and Excalibur had their designs changed to a more futuristic form.

"Hey, Caliburn. How have you been?"

Caliburn: "Spectacular. I have learned many things with Nimue, and feel I am one step closer to matching Excalibur's power."

Merlin: "Glad to hear it, 'cause once we finish our business in the Fairy King's Forest, the fight for everything will begin."

Caliburn: "We are ready for what needs to be done."

You grabbed both Caliburn and Excalibur and pulled them out of their pedestals, then you and Merlin put on your armor and Nimue activated the ritual to send you back to the past.

You and Merlin looked around and saw that you're in the middle of an empty field.

"I don't see the Fairy King's Forest," you said.

Merlin: "Walk and you'll see."

As you and Merlin continued walking, you saw the fog surrounding yourself. After a minute, it disappeared and you saw a large forest with a massive tree in the center.

"Would that be the Sacred Tree?"

Merlin: "Yep."

You pulled out the seed that you took from the Rayonne fortress and saw it has a familiar aura with the Sacred Tree. You put it away and walked with Merlin until you heard something behind yourselves.

You and Merlin pulled out your weapons and saw the First Fairy King Gloxinia and the Giant King Drole.

Gloxinia: "Merlin, I didn't expect you to come here."

Merlin: "Neither did I, but I have something that I think can benefit all of us."

Drole: "And what would this be?"

Merlin pulled out two special containers.

Merlin: "If you no longer wish to be part of the Ten Commandments, then give up your Commandments so these devices can contain them. However, I won't force either of you."

Gloxinia and Drole looked at each other and nodded before looking at Merlin again.

Gloxinia: "Very well."

Drole: "We will accept this deal."

Drole and Gloxinia surrendered their Commandments and they went into the containment devices.

Gloxinia: "Human, what's that in your pocket?"

You knew what he's talking about, so you pulled out the seed from your pocket.

Gloxinia: "Looks familiar, but I have no idea at the moment. Never mind."

"Okay. We won't take up any more of your time."

Merlin: "Let's go."

You and Merlin left the forest and returned to the human world.

Merlin: "Y/N, what was that seed?"

"No clue. I found it in the Rayonne's fortress and decided to take it."

Merlin: "I'll look at it later. Now we find Derieri and Monspeet. We're getting closer, guys. We'll stop Chaos."

"Then let's get back to work."

Caliburn: "Onward to our crusade to save everything."

Merlin snapped her fingers and teleported away with you.
