You, Maximilian, and Merlin are on a platform in a large empty room. Screens appear throughout the room that lists the name "UNION".

"Maximilian Howard, who is this woman?" a voice boomed. "And why have you and your son brought her here?"

Max: "Y/N talked with you about what we were bringing."

A smaller screen appears in front of you.

UNION: "You're serious? This woman is Merlin of the long-lost Seven Deadly Sins?"

Merlin: "Yes. That's the one. And I've come offering a partnership with them. Although, if I have to discuss terms with you all, then very well."

UNION: "What is this partnership you offer them?"

Merlin: "These Rayonne and their Prophets are connected with chaos itself, and there may be a way to stop them and reverse the damage on this world."

UNION: "What way?"

Merlin: "The Prophets are the hosts of Chaos, but there is one that they worship and used to stabilize their powers of Chaos to an extent. One that's at the center of their Cult. At least, that's what one of the Prophets said. I heard them while searching for a way to stop them, and there I found my answer."

UNION: "What is this being they worship?"

Merlin: "They call it 'XV'. A person that guards XV and is a conduit for its power. They call her 'Dark Eve'. And apparently, she sees all of this as a massive experiment. We end Dark Eve and XV--"

"We stop all of this," you interrupted.

Max: "And finally free Humanity from this unholy threat."

UNION: "But we assume there's a catch."

Merlin: "No catch, other than enduring these attacks for a bit longer. The Rayonne are getting more involved in these. They're bringing stuff from their main base. There's got to be clues in them that lead to where they are hiding. Or creatures that contain information in their memories. Then we'll plan a way to eliminate Dark Eve and XV."

UNION stayed silent for a few minutes.

UNION: "Very well. If you have a way we can end this, then your partnership is permitted. Just know that if you betray us in any way, the consequences will be severe."

Merlin: "What reason do I have in betraying anyone? I've seen what Chaos has done. I want to stop it."

UNION: "I'm glad we understand. Y/N Howard, since Merlin's partnership is with you, you will be keeping an eye on her and giving her accommodation."

"Seriously?"

Max: "You're giving him this big a task before he graduates?"

UNION: "Consider this a task that will lead to a promotion after you fully join. Besides, the living quarters you were given should have enough room."

The call ended.

"Follow me," you said to Merlin.

You took Merlin to your apartment, and after looking around, she was left impressed with its design.

Merlin: "I must say, humans have interesting ideas for interior design these days."

"Well, much has changed since the era of kingdoms."

Merlin walked in front of the window and saw a good amount of the Ark.

Merlin: "Where are we located again?"

"District 3, Zone 36."

Merlin: "Got a nice view."

"Hey Merlin, what was that power I used on that creature of Chaos?"

Merlin: "I have a few theories, but don't have anything concrete. From what I can guess, it was a power that increased your abilities and allowed you to use magic. The swords did form then disappeared when it deactivated."

You thought about what Merlin said.

"You can have the bed. I'll stay in the guest room."

Merlin: "You can keep your bed. I'm not used to being alone in large rooms."

"You sure?"

Merlin: "Yes. Besides, a good book is all I'll need."

"Okay. We'll check for chaos activity tomorrow. Night."

Merlin: "Night."

You and Merlin went to your rooms. The next day, you and Merlin are on a motorcycle heading for an abandoned mall outside of Zone 19.

"You sure Rayonne are there?"

Merlin: "I definitely sense Chaos over there, so it should be worth a look."

"Okay. By the way, in the records regarding the Sins, did you really wear revealing clothing?"

Merlin: "Yes, but I decided to wear a more modest version. Public laws and all that."

Arriving at the warehouse, you and Merlin search around and hear noises coming from underground. You went downstairs and see multiple Rayonne cultists packing up equipment and notes.

"Hurry! We can't leave anything!" one member shouted.

You and Merlin drop down and the Rayonne cultists saw you. The cultists start to fight, but you dealt with some and Merlin used her magic to blast some.

More arrive and Merlin used her magic to freeze time. You were left bewildered by the magic, but you used the opportunity to deal with the rest of the Cultists.

You and Merlin then went through the files, notes, and weapons, where you found a note from Dark Eve that reads that they must not fail their tasks if they want their Prophets to avoid being consumed by XV. Merlin appeared with a blade and recognized the metal used to make it.

Merlin: "I know this metal. But how? It's all gone."

Merlin noticed you reading the note and walked up to see what it says.

Merlin: "Wow, so the cultists worship their respective Prophet, and Dark Eve does not take kindly to failures."

"Merlin, you really think we can stop all this?"

Merlin: "Honestly, I'm not sure, but I know that if there's any chance we can, we have to take it."

"So what do we do next?"

Merlin saw a flash drive and put it into a terminal, where it displayed several Rayonne bases in the Ark and strategic Chaos attacks.

Merlin: "For now, let's just focus on finding their bases and stopping their attacks."

"Then let's get started."
