"Ok... Now hold it like this" Maya said softly as she guided the other girl's hand with her own.

"But once you let go, I'll loose control of it" Riley said in protest. Maya then chuckled.

"You'll be fine Riles" She said reassuringly.

"Just let the blade go were it wants, trust your instincts. Just like you did at school" The blonde took her hands away from Riley's, almost feeling as if a part of her was taken away. Riley stood still for a minute, not saying anything.

"The Sereph blade is no use if you don't move it" Maya laughed. Riley inhaled deeply and concentrated on the blade in her hands. It was as if a force was pulling her towards the wall.

"M-MAYAAA" She cried in shock as the Sereph blade plunged into the wall, causing Riley to fall backwards. The brunette landed with a thump and a soft yelp of surprise when she hit the ground.

"Yeaaa ok, you were right" Maya said shamefully as she helped Riley up. A man appeared by the doorway, starring at the two girls.

"What's going on in here? Everyone can hear you downstairs" The blonde haired man complained.

"Well, I was teaching my friend Riley here how to use a sereh blade" Maya anounced, while Riley gave him a small wave.

"Oh, right! Dad, this is Riley, Riley, this is my dad, but call him Jace" Maya smiled. Riley looked at the man then to Maya.

"I can see it, the hair-" The brunette started. She then stopped herself feeling embarrassed.

"Maya, you know this should be done in the training room. And I've got to fix your wall. You and your mundane can go do that or something" Jace said while looking at his daughter. Riley glared at Jace, a bit offended.

"Fine. Come on Riley, let's do this training the right way" Maya said as she lead the brunette downstairs.
