The brown eyed girl had awoken, not too long after Maya had left. She missed the other girl's warmth, and being in Maya's arms felt right. Riley trekked downstairs and into the kitchen where she saw her mother, Isabell. She wasn't as upset with the woman as she had been earlier.

"Hey, M-mom?" Riley asked, trying to get Isabell's attention. It felt odd to call her mom, she was so used to the killer shark lawyer.  Isabell turned around and smiled warmly at Riley.

"Is something wrong honey?" She asked in consern, happy that her child was finally talking to her.

"No, no. Nothing's wrong, I'm just confused with my feelings." She'd sigh.

"How so?"

"Is it possible to fall in love with someone without knowing them that well?" Riley asked, her eyebrows pressing together in thought.

"Of course it is. Riley, it's completely normal. Especially at this age, teenage hormones-" Isabell started only to be cut off by her daughter.

"Ahh! No! I don't need to here the second part. Lalalalala!" Riley said loudly, covering her ears and shaking her head. Isabell couldn't help but laugh at the young brunette.

"Alright then honey." She chuckled, turning back to the stove.
