After Maya had hushed Riley to sleep, she walked outside to get her mind cleared. Cleared of the clumsy brunette. She was always on the blonde's mind. Maya was starting to think it was unhealthy, since they'd only met three days ago. Of course, living with Riley was great. It gave Maya time to admire the brunette's beauty, even though she knew it was weird. The blonde never knew she could fall so hard and fast for a person she'd met only three days ago.

"Why did it come to this... I let my guard down. God damn it!" She said in anger. The blonde put her head in her hands until she heard the door behind her creaking open.

"You alright kiddo?"  A familiar voice asked. Uncle Alec.

"Not really..." She replied quietly. Maya had always been close to Alec. He treated her as if she was his younger sister. He got extremely over protective when Maya was upset.

"Well, what's going on Blondie?" He asked, putting an arm around the petite  girl's shoulder.

"Just promise me you won't tell anyone about what I'm about to say, ok?"

"Cross my heart, hope to die, stick a seraph blade in my eyes."

"Fine..... I think I have a crush on someone. I don't know how they feel towards me though." Maya sighed.

"Hey, there's no need to rush it. Mabey give the person subtle hints. Do you mind me asking who this lucky person is?"

"You'll judge me if I do..."

"I promise I won't."

"I like Riley..."

The older man slightly tilted his head.

"Isabell and Simon's kid?" He chuckled. Maya then glared at him an slapped the boy on the arm.

"It's not funny!" She scolded him. Alec looked at the blonde and put his hands up in defense.

"I'm just messing with you, chill." Maya looked at Alec, then at the ground.

"Alec, how did you know you liked Magnus....?" She asked quietly.

"It wasn't necessarily something that happened quickly. I kept telling myself that I didn't like him until I hit my breaking point, ya know?" He explained. Maya nodded thoughtfully.

"Thanks Alec." She smiled getting up.

"Remember not to rush things, ok Kiddo?"

"Got it!" She reasured
