||Cottontail, USA||
It was hell without Todd, to say the least. Thomas hasn't been able to love anyone else, not really. He's flirted with a few females back in Spitbucket, but then he moved out of town for a fresh start. The memories of Todd were too painful for him to handle.
He moved to a town called Cottontail, a busy town that was well known for its farming industry. Thomas worked as the deputy since there was already a sheriff in place. It was wanted by many women, but each proposal he turned down. No one could have his heart because it only belonged to Todd.
It's been 3 years since his death, and every year Thomas visited Todd's grave - despite it being a 2-day travel. This year he left early by a day. He wanted to at least have some time to look nice, after all, he was his dead lover.
Saying goodbye to the Sheriff, Thomas stepped on the train ready for a grueling ride.
----
When he arrived at Todd's hometown, he let out a soft sigh of relief. The train wasn't exactly his favorite way to travel. Rubbing his forehead, he made his way down to the tailors. He tried on a couple of suits, before feeling satisfied with a baby blue button up and a white vest with matching slacks. Purchasing the outfit, he headed towards the motel he always stayed at.
When the time came he slipped on his new outfit and slicked his hair back neatly. For once every year, he shaved his stubble leaving his skin smooth and clean. Picking up the Black two-pointed hat that was set on top of his drawer, he made his way out to the woods.
Walking through the forest, he made his way out to the fields where hills were placed. Making his way to the hill with the largest oak tree, he stopped in front of the wooden cross. Fireflies danced above his head, lighting the night sky.
Setting the hat down he let out a soft sigh sitting criss-cross on the ground. He was quiet for a moment, before letting out a meek voice. "It's hard. To live without you." He began, looking down at the ground. He pinched his nose, feeling tears well up in his eyes. "It's getting harder to get out of bed, I can't find the reason to stay alive. You're gone, and nothing can ever change that." He croaked, burying his face into his palms.
He froze up when he heard a bold voice come from behind. "Ach, Thomas don't be so sentimental. It's only been 3 years."
Thomas spun around, looking up at the shadowy figure. He couldn't see all of his features, but two things stood out to him the most - His devil-horned hair and his moon silver eyes. His breath was taken away as he scrambled up to the ground. "T-Todd? Is that you? Is it really you?" He whispered, covering his mouth in shock. Todd stepped closer to Thomas, smiling warmly. "It is indeed."
"B-But how? I-... I killed you..."
"I'm afraid your aim sucks my dear." He giggled, giving him a lopsided grin. Thomas was confused, scrunching up his nose. "What...?" Letting out a huff, Todd rolled his eyes. "You hit my chest, but you never stroke my heart... Paulo and Patrick managed to get ahold of my comatose body and well, they got me help." He chuckled hoarsely, placing his hand on his chest. Thomas narrowed his eyes before slapping Todd across the face.
"You bastard! Why didn't you tell me you were alive?! You just vanished for 3 years! No letters, no telegraphs, no nothing!" He hissed, before pulling Todd into a tight hug. The man froze up, before hugging the blue man back. He let out a happy hum, tilting his head to the side.
"Sorry love, I had to lay low for a while - Just long enough to make everyone believe I was really dead... But, I'm safe now." He purred, rubbing the back of his head. Thomas let out a happy huff, pulling away. Todd traced his thumb over Thomas' lower lip, smiling softly.
"Come with me."
"Huh?"
"Come with me Thomas, leave this damned country with me." He whispered warmly, giving him a loving stare. "W-Where would we go?" Thomas questioned, raising an eyebrow. Todd was stumped for a moment, before speaking again. "I don't know, anywhere but here. We can build a new life together Thomas. We don't have to worry about our past - we can leave it behind here. Join me, my love." He whispered warmly, rubbing Thomas' cheek softly. Thomas was out of breath for a moment, before grinning. "Of course, my love."
