2. His pain
Kim Yeon hae POV
"Kat, you piece of -" I marched inside the Noodles shop shouting only to find my friend sleeping, keeping her head on the table.
She was snoring, and that made me want to ruin her pretty little sleep. After leaving me alone in the rain, she doesn't deserve this sleep.
I walked near her with my petite legs, trying not to wake her up with just a mere noise. As I was walking towards her, I found an empty noodle cup that was kept beside her head.
Oh! Now she is sleeping after leaving me alone in the rain, with my stomach grumbling from time to time.
I couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of her enjoying her meal without me.
I walked near her and crouched until my head was a few inches away from her ears. I took in large amounts of air before screeching in her ears so loudly.
"Ah!" Her eyes burst open, and she looked scared.
Who wouldn't be annoyed when their sleep was disturbed by a loud screech?
Her body jerked as soon as the sound hit her ears. It was so loud that one passerby jolted at their movement.
Hehe. That's the power of my voice.
"Sleeping during work time, eh?" I asked her from behind. She turned to look at me with a raging red face.
Not gonna lie, she looked like a red pompom.
I mean dude- she is the owner doesn't give her permission to sleep at work hours.
Her hands grabbed my curly hair and pulled them towards her. I wailed in pain and tried to grab hers, too.
"You were the one who left me alone even when I asked you to wait for me," I lashed out at her. She gripped my hair even tighter, and I pulled hers, too.
Ding dong.
We both turned to look at where the sound was coming from.
It was an old man with our shop flyer in hand. He adjusted his glasses that were resting on his nose to see what was going on in the noodle shop.
We were baffled at the sight of a customer seeing our so-called fight.
Oh no.
-Meanwhile third POV
Hyunjin sat in the car, signalling his friend to drop him at his house. The car moved forward at a very moderate pace and soon after reached Hyunjin's house. He got out of the car, bidding bye to his friend before entering his house. He walked towards the entrance and pulled out his keys from his packet.
His face reflected his weariness. He threw his black coat on the sofa and walked towards his bedroom. His bedroom was dirty despite getting cleaned yesterday.
His slender fingers brushed the buttons of his white shirt before removing them one by one. He removed his last button and took off his white shirt. He hissed when his shirt brushed his scarred torso. After throwing his white shirt like his coat, he sat on the bed right in front of his dusty mirror.
His face slowly looked at the mirror, which provoked a lot of emotions in him. Bringing his hands towards his face, he rubbed them against both of his eyes. Tears slipped down from his eyes as he harshly rubbed them.
The past three months had been very tough for him so far, and he could not accept whatever had happened over time.
He took his fingers off his face and touched his scarred torso. The wound healed completely but left a scar.
Every scar has its backstory.
His long, lean fingers touched them slowly. His breathing became heavier and heavier with each passing second.
At last, making himself bold, he took his fingers off his torso and laid down on the bed with his legs dangling down the cot.
He closed his eyes, trying to bring back the peaceful sleep that he had lost years ago. He slowly started to shift into his regular nightmare, which he wished that he wouldn't.
Hyunjin looked all around him, finding himself in a garden full of fruits and flowers. He started at a particular bush, trying to see whether the little girl would peek out or not. He waited for a few minutes before he walked towards the bush. She was there, hiding behind it, trying to control her laughter.
Hyunjin smiled at the fact she was trying to scare him when he was near the bush. He stood near the bush and she popped up.
"Peek-a-boo" She smiled at him. They both looked very similar to each other. His eyes and hers met, and she touched his face.
"Why is it so hard for you to forget me?" She asked him with her glossy eyes that were locked with his.
"It's because you were my only family," He replied to her this time after failing to talk to her hundreds of times.
She looked at him after grasping the meaning of his sentence. She plucked a flower from the bush and gave it to him. He looked at her, shockingly.
"Please, live your life to the fullest," she whispered in his ears after disappearing in front of him. He tried to grab her hand, but sadly, he couldn't.
Hyunjin squinted his eyes and woke up with tears brimming in his eyes. He hugged himself, trying to keep her warm with himself.
Losing someone you considered as your only family is not that easy. He grabbed his hair harshly as his tears trickled down his flushed cheeks.
