one year later

"that looks good on you, I like it." felix states to his boyfriend, eric makes a three-sixty. trying to look at himself in the mirror.

"you really think so? I mean, I like the style of the jacket but is baby blue my color?"

felix laughs, "It is, I'll buy it for you as a souvenir. here take it off so I can check the price."

eric slips the jacket off and felix looks for the tag. searching the jacket, there wasn't one at all. "huh, that's weird. I'll go ask the cashier, but you can check the other ones if there's a price."

eric nods, "gotcha."

as felix walks over to the cash register, it had been almost a year since visiting korea. he was now nineteen, living in los angeles and dating eric. although much happened, he put his past aside to focus on the present. besides, remembering hurt too much.

stopping in front of the cashier, he looks around. there was one of the workers, back faced towards him. he then yells out, "excuse me!"

he grabs he worker's attention, turning he gives a bright smile. "hi, how may I—"

felix and the boy were both smiling, yet once they got a glimpse of each other. they froze. "o—oh my god." as he then covers his mouth, "f—felix.."

felix shakes his head, "I—I'm sorry..can you check the price of this..my boyfriend wants to buy it but there isn't a tag.."

hyunjin tenses at the word boyfriend, he knew it wasn't changbin. because one,

he was dating changbin.

"of course..."

hyunjin takes the article and clothing to ring it up. a couple seconds later he gives the jacket back to felix. "it's fifteen bucks. so..how have you been?.."

"good. I've been good. you?"

hyunjin smiles, "good, but I'm quite better since I'm able to see your face once again. you blocked me on all social media. I can't text you, call you. all of us have gone our separate ways...and..."

"and what?" felix questions.

"I'm dating..changbin.."

felix's eyes widen, "o—oh..d—did he move from australia to here?"

hyunjin nods, "yeah..he did."

they stand in silence, until felix breaks it with a soft response. "that's..cool.."

hyunjin once again nods, "so—"

"I should go, he's waiting for me."

"wait!" hyunjin then tugs onto felix's shirt. "how long are you saying?"

"not for long." felix states, "look I should really—"

"I miss you."

"stop!" felix then slaps hyunjin's hand away. "I can't do this now, please."

eric hears felix from across the store, rushing to him. he looks at hyunjin then to felix. "hey? what the hell do you think you're doing?" as he gives a glare to hyunjin.

"n—no I'm—!"

"felix do you know him?" eric questions worried, "what do you want from him?"

hyunjin gives a pleading look to felix. but the australian boy doesn't dare to look at him. instead he holds eric's hand, "he mistook me for someone else. I don't know him, at all."

eric gives a disgusted look towards hyunjin, "have some manners dude. come on let's go felix, we can't stay here if someone's making you uncomfortable." eric then drags felix out of the store, hyunjin who bites his tongue holds back.

he didn't even get the chance to say goodbye. instead he hears someone call him from the back. "hey hyunjin, what was that all about?" changbin questions, hyunjin shakes his head.

"nothing, it was nothing."

"you sure? you don't look so good."

hyunjin smiles, reassuring the boy. "I'm fine. don't worry."

"you know, you smiled like that whenever it came to felix. you sure something isn't wrong?"

hyunjin glances outside, he can still see felix and his new boyfriend walking around. but all he can do is sigh. "nope, everything is perfectly fine. just like I always say.."
