Misunderstood (Biff xreader)

(1189 words)

Your POV

I rubbed my face a little as I looked around the street. I was supposed to meet Biff Tannen at the cafe. He said that he wanted to talk to me about something, I was just surprised that I was actually standing here and waiting for him to get here. I leaned against the wall of the diner as I heard Mr. Sandman start to play from the speakers. I tapped my foot along as I had ordered a shake while I waited.

The bell rang as the door opened and I looked over to see Biff as he scanned the room. He found me before he walked over slowly and sat down. "I'm surprised you showed up" he said as he smiled gently. "I am too" I said as I leaned back in my chair. He nodded gently as it grew silent. "Why did you ask me to meet you here?" I asked as I looked at him.

He looked away as I could have sworn that a blush moved over his face. "I uh, wanted to ask you on a date" he said and I rose a brow. "I thought you were supposed to ask someone on a date before you met them somewhere. Not the other way around" I said and he nodded as he looked at me. "I wasn't sure you would show up if I asked you on a date, so I asked you to meet me here." he said and I hummed a little before I sipped my shake.

"I don't know. I shouldn't since you're a bit of an ass to George" I said and tilted my head. He sighed and nodded. "I know. I can be better, just give me a chance" he said and I watched him as he looked at me. Sincereity in his eyes. I leaned forward as I got quiet. "I'll go on a date with you, but you have to take it easy on George" I said and he smiled. "Deal"

I stood as I left money for the shake as I looked at him. "I have a test to study for. You can pick me up on Saturday at eight. We can watch a movie" I said and he nodded as he stood. "I can't wait" he said and I hummed before I left the diner and started to  walk home. I was at the end of the street before Biff pulled up next to me in his car. "Can I give you a ride?" he asked and I looked at him. This was odd. I sighed gently before I looked at him and nodded.

He opened the door for me as I walked around and got into the seat. I clicked my seat belt as he drove off. I told him where to go and we were in front of my house shortly. I looked at him for a moment as he tapped his hands on the wheel. "Thanks for the ride" I said and he smiled at me as he nodded. "Don't worry about it." he said and I got out before I closed the door to his car. I looked at him before I leaned over a little. "Be here at eight sharp. I don't like waiting" I said and he looked at me before he nodded slowly.

I walked inside as he pulled away before I sighed deeply. I went up to my room and sat on my bed. My thoughts going back to what happened at the end of the drive and the diner. I shook my head as I sighed. "He's just messing with me, I bet he'll go back to giving George a hard time by sunday." I mumbled before I opened my textbooks.

-Saturday-

I was in my room as I was getting ready. I wanted to look nice but not too nice. A bit of a dressy casual. I looked at myself in my full length mirror and looked over to the clock as I sighed. I had 10 minutes before Biff would be here. At least that was before I heard a knock at the door. My mom had called me down not long after.

I walked downstairs and was surprised to see Biff. Not only was he early but he cleaned himself up for tonight as well. My mom smiled as she looked at me. "Have a nice night hon." she said as she kissed my cheek before she looked at Biff. "I want her home no later than 11:30, do I make myself clear?" my mom asked and he nodded. "Yes. ma'am" he said. He let me take his arm as we walked off to his car. He opened it for me and let me in first before he walked around the car and got in.

He looked at me for a moment before he started the car and pulled away from the curb. The drive to the theater was quiet. He stopped the car on the side of the road before he got out and opened my door. "Right this way ma'am" he said as he bowed a little. I couldn't help but smile as he closed the door and looked down at me. I wrapped my hand around his arm as we crossed the street and went to the theater. "Lady's choice" he said and I looked at him before I looked to see what was playing.

"How about 'The lady and the tramp'?" I asked and he looked over before he nodded. "Walt Disney fan?" he asked as he paid for the tickets. I nodded a little as I blushed. "Yeah, I know. I'm a high school student that still likes Disney" I said and he shook his head. "I think it's kinda cute" he said and I looked at him before we blushed and looked away.

We had gotten popcorn to share and I smiled gently as we went to sit down. So far so good. I was really surprised that he had this side. "Why do you give George such a hard time?" I asked and he looked at me for a moment before he sighed. "I really don't know. I thought for the longest time that it was because I was jealous of him" he said and looked at his hands "Why would you be jealous of George?" I asked as I looked at him. "He's really smart. He has good looks. He doesn't have to be intimidating to get by" he said with a shrug. I looked at him for a moment before I reached over and grabbed his hand gently.

I don't care what everyone else thought about Biff Tannen. I was willing to bet that he wasn't a bad guy, he just made bad decisions. Something that every human is guilty of at some point in their lives. I looked at the movie as it started. He was just misunderstood
