Jealousy (Marty xreader)
(1210 words)
We were in 1955 as we had to fix the time line. Our genius selves let Marty get hit by his grandpa's car so now Lorraine has the hits for him instead of George. She even came over to docs house since the dance was girls choice and she wanted to ask out "Calvin Klein".
I rolled my eyes as she walked in and doc leaned over the top of the DeLorean as Marty leaned against him. She walked in and they glanced at each other as she looked at the two boys.
"Cal. I had something I wanted to ask you, about the dance" she had a gentle voice and I could see why George had liked her. I felt Einey rub his face against my leg as he knew I didn't like this situation.
I looked down at him as he whimpered at me lightly before he tilted his head. I knelt down and rubbed his ears as I gave Lorraine a stare down. She made no effort to make my presence known to herself. I was met with the infamous brow raise of none other than Emmett Brown.
I shook my head as Marty went to go find George and go over the plan that consisted of Georgie punching Biff's lights out at the dance. Since Marty was supposed to put the moves on Lorraine.
I watched the door where they walked out as Doc put his hand on my shoulder. "Spill it" he said and I looked up at the taller man as he was giving a look that said he knew all.
I shook my head and stood with a huff. "Based on that face you're giving me, you already know my feelings on this subject" I said as I fiddled with the Town square model that Doc had built. Even though a lot of people thought he was insane. He was damn good with his hands.
He crossed his arms as he looked at me. "I know that it isn't about the plan. But it's about Lorraine Baines" he said and Einey stuck his paw over his eyes as he laid on the floor. I looked to Doc and rolled my eyes. He walked over to me as I felt his eyes stare through my soul.
A quality that he had that would make anyone fold and give in. But I've found that if you don't look at it- it won't work. I sighed and rubbed my face as we stood there. "I don't know what's going on with me either, but I sure as hell don't care for it" I said before I shook my head.
He went to say something before I walked by him and stopped at the garage door. "I'm going for a walk" I mumbled and left the garage quickly. "Take Einstein with you!" Was what I heard before the dog ran out after me.
He trotted next to me as we walked. We had walked over to a nearby park and I was sitting at a swing either Einstein at my feet as he laid there. "What do I do Einey?" I asked as he looked at me. He psnted gently as it was a little warm and his long fur didn't help.
"Why do I not like Lorraine so much? Any ideas, boy?" He sat up and put his face on my lap as I sat there. "Yeah, me neither" I looked around as the wind blew and I sighed deeply. I kind of liked it here in the 50s but we couldn't stay since it would throw off the universe as we know it.
I looked at Einey. "Let's hear back before Doc starts to worry" I said and he spun around before he gave a small bark. I smiled and gave a small chuckle as we started to hear back to the Brown residence.
We got back and found a Marty leaning against the garage, waiting for us. "Uh, Doc said you wanted to talk to me" he said as I stood close enough to him to have a conversation. Einey ran back inside.
"That was probably Doc's doing" I said and he nodded slowly. I looked at him as he was just barely taller than me. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. The go to thing that every McFly has done.
We stood in silence for quite some time before we heard Doc. "I don't hear any talking out there!" He said and we looked at each other and shook our heads. I looked to the boy and sighed. He was with Jennifer back home and now he had Lorraine all over him. It was something about him that allowed for him to have any girl he wanted.
It often was the popular pretty girls that would chase him. Never any of the nerds like me. For the longest time I thought that he looked right through me. "Is this about my mom?" He asked and I hummed gently. "I don't think she should be all over you like that" I said and he chuckled. "I can sgree with that, she's my Mom" he said and we smiled a little.
We sat down on the steps as we heard that the tools in the garage had stopped making noise and by tools I mean the fire extinguisher. Doc was notorious for starting fires. I looked at Marty. "There's something else eating you" he said as matter of factly. I hummed as I sighed. He and Doc new exactly what would be bothering me.
"Is it Jennifer?" He asked as he looked at me. I looked away and he hummed, he was right. "I don't know, I feel like you look straight through girls like me" I said and he rose a brow. "Why would I do that?" He asked and I stood. "Maybe because of the fact that in nerdy and unpopular? Or that I'm still the bottom of the food chain at high school. People shove me into lockers like they do to George for crying out loud! I don't get it, I blend in. Why would I be subjected to this teasing when I didn't do anything to make myself be noticed?" I said as I had stood, mid rant.
He sighed as he looked at me. "You get that ranting and pacing from Doc." He smiled as he stood slowly. "You may think that I'm a bit of an airhead. And that may be true, but I don't look through you. I actually find you to be quite charming. In a nerdy sorta way" he said as he smiled at me. I heard a creak at the door and rose s brow as I walked over and pulled the door open only for doc to his the ground since he was leaning on the door.
I looked at him before I shook my head. "Get up you overgrown child." I said and he stood slowly. I looked at Marty and sighed gently. "Thanks for the talk, McFly" I said and he nodded before I went inside. I rubbed my face a little. "Even if it didn't help any, but shine some light on something. I was apparently jealous"
