{15} Nightmare on Elm Street
Chapter Fifteen Nightmare on Elm Street
Halloween was Cassidy's favorite holiday. She loved dressing up scary or as a sexy nurse. It was just something about the night of terror that intrigued her. She got free candy and could let her "inner hoe" out as she puts it.
She was highly upset when she found out we had a game tonight. She wanted to spend the day working on her outfit. I told her just go to Party City or somewhere to buy a costume but she wasn't having it. She wanted something more original this year. Soon she realized she couldn't do original and went to pick out a costume.
So after the game, we quickly rushed to our room to get ready for the Halloween party. Cassidy signed, heavily, as she picked up her costume.
"Not what I had in mind" She said, studying the outfit. "But it'll do."
I glanced at her through the mirror. "It suits you."
Her eyes brightened. "You think?"
I nodded my head. "Hands down."
She pursed her lips as she looked at her costume. "You're right! It does. I mean I doubt anyone could pull off being Harley Quinn beside Margot Robbie."
She stripped down and stepped into the fishnet leggings before putting on the itty bitty red shorts. She slipped on the tiny tight white shirt with the caption Daddy's Lil Monster in black on. She puts on the red and blue leather jacket before sliding into her red converse.
While she did her crazy make up, I finished my own make up. I had a red star right in the middle of my forehead. I did my hair in big loose curls before putting on my costume.
The top was a sleeveless gold and red leather material and the bottom was made with the same material but it was dark blue shorts. I pulled the black boots up my legs before putting on the big golden hoops in my ears and a big golden bracelet on my left wrist.
"Ready, good ass." Cassidy said, picking up her wooden bat and putting it on her shoulders with her fingers wrapped around the top and bottom of the bat.
I smiled. "Whenever you are, bad ass." I told her as I grabbed my gold lasso and and we walked out the room.
When we stepped outside, Nolan was already waiting for us, leaning against his car. I laughed when I saw what he was.
"Nice costume."
Cassidy wrapped her arms around Nolan's waist as she hugged him from the side.
"Leave my baby alone." She told me. "I think he makes a very sexy wolverine."
She smiled at him before stepping on the tip of her toes to whisper in his ear. I didn't have to know what she was telling him because the Cheshire cat smile gave it away.
She placed her heels back on the ground before hopping into the car. Once everyone was in, Nolan drove us to the party.
Just like any other party or club, music was oozing out the place. We weaved through the throng and into the back of the house.
"Why aren't y'all cute." Cassidy said, grinning at Levi and Hailey.
Levi chuckled. "We try."
Levi was dressed as a cop and Hailey was one of her favorite character of the tv show Orange is the New Black. She had fake sleeve tattoos and her blond hair in two braids that started at the front of her head.
"I feel like y'all should've switched costume." I said.
"Nah, sweet thang, knows who top boss is." Levi told us, flexing his arm.
Hailey glared at him. "Top boss?" She repeated.
Levi shrugged. "You know I don't mind being cuffed once and awhile."
"Annd....let me stop you right there." I stopped him from continuing on.
I really didn't need to know what Hailey does to my brother or what she doesn't do. I already know Cassidy's sex life. More than I would like to know.
"Cole you should've been bad instead of good." Levi said, looking at my costume. "I mean it was the only time of the year you could've done it. And Cassidy we all know you should try to be good."
Cassidy scoffed. "Excuse me I am good, especially on Christmas."
"Oh really is that why you still end up on the naughty list?" Levi teased.
"Oh that's cute you still believe in Santa Claus." Cassidy replied, smiling.
"And just so you know Levi" I started. "our costumes represent our friendship perfectly."
"How so?"
"She keeps me wild."
"And she keeps me safe." Cassidy finished.
"Y'all are gay." Levi said.
We rolled our eyes.
"Don't make us hit you with our weapon?" Cassidy told him, gripping her bat.
"Why would you do that?" Levi asked.
Cassidy smiled. "We bad guys that's what we do." She quoted Harley Quinn.
"Cole isn't a bad guy." Levi pointed out.
"Well right now she is and that's beside the point." Cassidy said.
Levi looked at Nolan. "You probably should take that bat away from her."
Cassidy glared at them. "I wish he would."
Nolan held his hands up in surrender. "Wouldn't think about it for a second."
"Oh my gosh." Hailey said, looking behind Cassidy.
"What?" The rest of us asked, following her gaze.
Levi smiled. "No way, man. You actually did it."
Anthony smirked as he walked up to us and I had to stop Cassidy from hyperventilating.
"Calm down."
"I can't. Look at that body." She was mentally undressing him and having her way. "The thing I would do to him." She said lowly but loudly so I was the only one to hear her.
"Weren't you just telling Nolan something really dirty a few minutes ago."
She held out her hand to the side, motioning for to be quiet, without taking her eyes off of Anthony.
"Shh and admire the view."
Anthony came as a stripper. He was shirtless and had his jeans hanging low on his hips, showing his V line and sexy abs. He had body oil on him and it made him look really desirable. I was sure every girl and possible guys wanted him right now.
"I told you I was." Anthony said. "Now pay up, nigga."
Levi handed Anthony his money and Anthony stuck it in his pocket.
"What would Sabrina think?" Hailey joked.
Sabrina was a girl Anthony was talking to. He said they weren't dating. They were taking their time. They didn't want to be in a relationship anytime soon but they had something between them.
"Please she loves Magic Mike." I said, rolling my eyes.
"And I'm like Magic Mike but better." Anthony told us. "From now on y'all call me Sexy Blacc." He looked across from us. "I'm be back I see someone who wants a piece of me." He walked away from us and to a group of girls eye raping him.
"You think Nolan would be mad if I ask Anthony, I mean Sexy Blacc, for a lap dance."
I made a face. "Ew! Don't call him don't ever and I don't know. Why don't you ask him?"
She looked at Nolan for a quick second before looking at me. "I think I'm gonna try to sneak one in."
"Good luck with that."
I was getting a drink, when I bumped into the sorority queen herself, Arianna. She jumped back, quickly, and gasped as if I ruined her costume.
"Watch it." She snapped. "You almost ruined my costume. Which by the way is expensive."
I looked her up and down and rolled my eyes. She had on a black sleeveless tight one piece, along with fishnet legging and black heels. On top of her head were bunny ears and I wouldn't be surprise if she had a white tail behind her.
"Costume? It looks like something you would wear on a daily basis."
She placed her hands on her hips "Better than what you got on. You look like a cheap knock off."
"Better than a cheap whore, right?" I rose an eyebrow
She was stunned but recovered with a smirk. "At least I know how to keep them satisfied. That's way Jayce chose me over you. You didn't know how to fulfil his needs. His desires."
I didn't say anything. I couldn't say anything because she was probably right. Jayce did have needs and I didn't think I could satisfy them.
Arianna smirked again, as she looked me up and down. "The sad part is thinking you had a chance with him." And with that she walked away, happily.
I felt the lump form in the back of throat and tears form in my eyes but I quickly blinked them away. I refused to cry over what Arianna said, even if they were true.
"Hey you." Chance's voice filled the left side of my ear.
I cleared my throat before I looked at him, smiling. "Hey."
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah I'm great." I lied. "You look just like Thor." I switched the subject.
He grinned. "I tried and you look absolutely incredible." His green eyes trailed my body.
At least he didn't think I look like a cheap knock off. I thought.
We were heading back to the group when I saw him. I knew he was looking at me that's why I did what I did next.
I spun around and grabbed Chance by his neck and crashed my lips into his. He didn't question it and kissed me back. I know what I did was wrong but I definitely felt something in our kiss. It was tingling. It was... good. A few seconds later, I pulled away.
He smiled. "What was that for?"
"I never you gave you your kiss when y'all lost."
"I thought you forgot."
"Never." I said, grabbing his hand and we stood with the rest of our group. Jayce was still staring at me and instead of refusing to make eye contact with him I glared at him.
His eyebrows pulled together, confused. I knew he was trying to figure out why I was mad at him but there was no way I was telling him the reason. And really I didn't have a reason to be mad.
I looked away once Arianna ran her hand down the front of his Superman costume. Great. We managed to matched. Note the sarcasm.
"Oh, Wonder Woman." Cassidy said in a sing-song voice. "Would you care for a dance?"
"Sure but you might want to put down your bat."
"Battie goes everywhere with me." She told me, holding her precious bat to her chest. "And besides, you're bringing lasso with you."
I looked down and sure enough I had my lasso in my hand. I wished I remembered I had it with me when Arianna spoke to me. I would've hir her with my cheap knock off whip.
I rolled my eyes. "Okay fine you can bring Battie." I said, using her bat's name.
She smiled. "Yay!"
I glanced at Chance. "You coming?"
He shook his head. "I'll watch you."
Nodding my head once, I followed Cassidy on the dance floor. We danced for a while until she got thristy. Right as I was about to go grabbed another drink, a hand grabbed my arm and spun me around.
"What did I do?" He immediately asked me.
"Why do you care?" I shot back.
"Because I want to fix this, fix us."
I shook my head. "No. I don't want us to be fix anymore."
His eyes burned with rage. "Is this because of Chance?"
I rolled my eyes. "Not everything is Chance's fault. You caused this."
"And I'm trying to fix it."
"I don't want you to." I said. "Go be with Arianna."
I pulled my arm out of his loose gripped and walked over to Chance. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into him.
"Hey guys, have y'all seen Cassidy?" Nolan asked.
"Last I checked, she was getting a drink." I informed him.
"She's not in there. I just left from there."
"Is that her, right there?" Chance asked, pointing.
My eyes widen and I quickly looked at Nolan to see his reaction. In the middle of the dance floor Anthony was giving Cassidy a lap dance. A sexy, hot one.
But to my surprise, Nolan didn't look pissed or anything. He just stared until it was over. He headed in Cassidy's direction and before anyone knew it, Nolan threw a punch straight to Anthony's jaw before turning to Cassidy and yelled some hurtful things at her.
Instantly, I was beside my friend. "Nolan stop." I told him. "It was anything serious. It was just a dance."
"Dance my ass." He said before walking away.
I turned to look at Anthony. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm good."
"I'm sorry Anthony." Cassidy apologized.
"Don't worry about it."
Cassidy looked in the direction Nolan walked off in. "I should go check on him."
"You sure?" I asked.
She nodded. "Yeah. I'll be fine." She assured me.
She walked away and pretty soon everyone forgot about the little commotion and enjoyed the party. Levi and Hailey disappeared a few minutes after the incident and you didn't need much hints to know where they went.
I went to the bathroom and when I went back downstairs, Chance and Jayce were having a stand off.
They were standing chest to chest, eyes narrowed. I moved in between them and pushed them away from each other.
I glanced at both of them and they were still shooting daggers at one another. What the hell?
I looked at Jayce because most likely he was the one who started it. "I told you Chance didn't say anything to me."
"He had to. Otherwise you wouldn't have kissed him to throw it in my face." Jayce told me, still looking at Chance.
I rolled my eyes. He was right. I did kiss Chance to set him off but it was only because I was hurt.
"I haven't told her anything." Chance said.
Right their secret. They're still hiding it from me. Jayce's secret must been something really horrible if he wouldn't tell me. But why did Chance know his secret? How did he know?
"He's telling you truth." I replied. "If you really want to know ask house bunny over there." I pointed at Arianna who was too busy talking to her posse to noticed her boyfriend's mood.
I grabbed Chance's hand. "And just so you know, I didn't kiss Chance to throw it in your face." I began. "I kissed him because he's my boyfriend."
I glanced at Chance and he didn't look stunned. He looked almost pleased. Like he won something everyone was fighting for. Jayce, on the other hand, did look stunned. He looked at me with his blue eyes and hurt and sadness flashed through them before he covered it up. He gave Chance one more look before walking away.
He whispered in Arianna's ear and she grinned. After she said bye to her friends, she and Jayce walked out the door, holding hands.
"So I'm your boyfriend now." Chance said.
I looked at him and he was smiling. I liked Chance but I didn't think I was ready for him to be my boyfriend. But it's not like I could take it back without hurting him.
I was such a horrible person. More horrible than Arianna.
I nodded. "Yeah. Hope you don't mind."
Because you're stuck with the most terrible girl ever. I thought to myself.
He shook his head. "Of course not."
What's wrong with me? Why did I feel something for Jayce but also for Chance? What was life playing at? Why me? This was a nightmare. Worst than the nightmare on Elm Street.
