Broken up and splattered
All the ropes are tattered
We were once Rome
a gleaming rose golden horse
Now we are burning
All the things that mattered hardly mean a thing
The ones who had the praises can hardly hear the singing
Selfish men roam the land and the poor hardly sleep
Everything has become clearer as the future because fuzzy
This is the new poorly written story
Oh how did this all come to be?
The blinders are now removed
We stand in the light of the truth
The greedy take and take
While the others starve and scrap together pieces
The good tries to overcome the beast
But when the beast is human
How can she be beat?
